Anyone on their 2WW???

Post by nali1278 »

hello everyone. This is my 2nd ivf cycle and just had a little blastie transferred yesterday - fingers and toes crossed! My body seems to have responded better to the drugs this time and I had 20 eggs retrieved, of which 10 fertilised, and 5 made it to to blastocyst stage and have been frozen (and of course the fresh transfer which was yesterday). I am actually finding this cycle much easier than last time, probably because I knew what to expect with the drugs, injections etc etc. Anyway, GOOD LUCK to everyone.

Hi nali1278- There are at least two maybe three great threads open where we are in our 2ww or close. The names of the threads are "anyone transferring in early august", " Aug/Sept Buddies", and there are also many specific threads with questions about 2ww. Feel free to come join us is any or all of the threads. I read them all and post to a couple myself fairly regularly. The support is amazing! Looking forward to hearing more about your process. Wishing you the best this time around!

Hi nali. Congrats on the latest cycle. It does seem to get better the more you do it. I think that one we know what to expect it does go easier. I just went through my 4th cycle (3 transferred last Monday none to freeze). My 3rd time last winter worked but sadly I had m/c. It's sad to get so close... but not quite there. I don't know if this one worked or not. I waited over 6 mo. to do this one. Just needed some time to rest and reenergize. Before this cycle I said I didn't know if I had any more times in me, but this one seemed to go the easiest of them all. I don't know what I would do if my insurance didn't cover all of this... there would be no way we could afford it.
I've looked at the other threads mentioned... but thanks for posting your own. I am new to the board and haven't really made any "friends" yet so I almost feel I intruding if I post in them.
I see you are from Australia. I'd love to visit there some day. I think it would be a really neat place. I live in Iowa. Forgive me for being ignorant... but what are your winters like? Just curious.
Good luck!!

Hi, congrats to you too- guess we'll be finding out around the same time so Good Luck :) And I'm so sorry to hear about your M/C. It is very hard to go on with this but each fresh cycle brings fresh hope I guess, and that helps make it easier. I started acupuncture for this cycle and hopefully it would have helped with things. As for Australian winters, I guess they're much milder than US winters - our average in the middle of winter is about 10 degrees I guess - and that's in Melbourne, so it's not too bad. Good Luck again and do keep me posted - fingers and toes crossed :)

Hi Nally...I am currently in my 2 weeks and thank god it is over this tuesday(beta).

This is my second IVF my first one was BFP (twins) but M/C at 16 weeks. I agree that is easer the second time, but it is still very hard....sometimes I feel that the IVF has taken over my life, my mind and my worries, especially in this 2WW. Anyone agrees?

Ayway, good luck and baby dust!!!!! Any doubts don´t be afraid to ask
