Hi girls, just barging in for a word with sassy! :D

I checked your ticker and realized you're now 30 weeks pregnant. I just wanted to let you know that I was born at 30 weeks. I struggled during my first night, and spent 1 month in the hospital. But today, I'm 6' tall, healthy, I've had no birth defect whatsoever and I am a Ph.D. (no learning difficulties either). This was in 1978. Can you believe all the knowledge medical science has accumulated since then, and all the new technologies that can come to the rescue? Anyway, this was just my two cents, and I hope it helps... hang in there sassy, I'm rooting for you and your babies! :D

Hugs,

Sophie

Hey, y'all! I just snooped Sassy's blog and it looks like everyone is doing well. Two boys and a girl...all just under 3 lbs. It was last updated on 8/14 and it said they were born on 8/12. Fingers crossed that it all continues to go well....We're thinking about you, Sassy!

Wonderful news on Sassy!! That is great!!

Well, sistas....this is it for me! Went to the doc today and was all happy go-lucky joking around and then they took my blood pressure...yep, it is creeping up higher. They put me on the monitor and Noah moved around ok, but of course the whole thing freaked me out a bit and I started crying because I guess I am in the early phases of pre-eclampsia. Because of my past history of high blood pressure (although it had thankfully been normal throughout the pregnancy until the end), my doctor wants to go ahead and get him out. So....I am resting until Wed a.m. and then being induced at 5:30 a.m. on WED!!! Wow. I just wanted to let you all know. My husband and I were pretty freaked out about it all, but now we are happy and just getting ready for the day!!! Wish us luck!!! Baby Noah will be here in a couple of days!!! Geez - I am a crazy mixture of emotions right now!!!

Hi Sistas, sorry for being so slack but I am in struggle town with the whole working and motherhood thing. I really wish I could give work up but it is not possible right now!

Just a quick one for now as my clients want to kill me for not returning their calls, doing their work etc...
ype
Tina good luck tomorrow. I was induced, it's quite surreal knowing that you have an end date and it is fast approaching. I remember feeling quite wierd about it. But you are going to do great and I can't wait to hear how Noah is going....mullet and all..

Sassy, congratulations congratulations! I cannot believe that you are a mother of three. The mega cycle has well and truly lived up to the hype! Hope to hear from you when you have a second to spare... next year some time perhaps???

Love everyone else I wish I could stop but I will try to come back in the next day or two...

Fee

PS Angie, enjoy the hair while it lasts! Rio rubbed his off and ended up looking like the dad from Everybody Loves Raymond..

Tina--Wishing you the best on Wednesday. I went into labor naturally, but it was slow going so the doc gave me pictorin (or whatever it's called) to speed things up. I would say that it wasn't bad at all, but of course I got an epidural right away so I'm not a great judge! I'm sure things will go great and you'll be meeting Noah before you know it!

Fee--I'm so sorry about the working thing. I wish there was something I could do to help. I promise you that if I win the lottery, I will set aside a big hunk for you so that you can stay home. Of course, you'll have to move here to Nebraska to play with me. I could use a friend nearby! It's funny--I love being able to stay home with Lucy. I'm very lucky and I am thankful HOWEVER it is a little bit isolating at times. All of my other friends work and so it's just the two of us all day. It's not so bad now that the weather is nice and we can go outside or to the zoo or places like that but I'm starting to get worried about winter. Uggh. It just goes to show that there's always something, you know?

Well, I'm off to watch the Olympics some more. Any one else addicted?

Sassy~ Congratulations to you and dh. I'm so happy for you and SO glad to hear everyone is doing well.
Thanks Meg for the update!

Tina~ Good luck tomorrow lady! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Don't freak out too much about the blood pressure thing, it happens a lot. And actually, for most people, it happens much earlier in the pregannacy.
Can't wait to see pictures of our buddy Noah and put the mullet debate to rest!!!! Good luck girl!

Talk to everyone soon.

Good luck Tina - will be thinking about you and can't wait to see Noah.

We have officially entered the arsenic hour (make that 5!) phase when every day Amelie turns from a little cutie to a red faced screaming banshee ( she looks like that scarey creature from Lord of the Rings) - yesterday she screamed from late afternoon until 10pm - it was horrible .

It started to get earlier and earlier so I am too scared to put her down for the afternoon nap in case she won't sleep - instead we go walking walking walking in the stroller - I 've been walking so much that the tyres are going to wear out! I need to get this settling technique sorted - at the centre yesterday there was a talk on it but, you've guessed it - she cried so much I missed what the nurse was saying!

I googled Sassy and triplets and found her blog that way - wow she has been through alot.

Better go - good reading you everyone - sorry no time to write more.

Hi girls...

Well, it has been quite the few weeks for us.
Soon after my last post my blood pressure began to rise and everything looked worse so I had an urgent c-section the night of August 12th. My health actually worsened after the delivery and my blood pressure remained uncontrolled for several days. BUT, I have been home for a few days now and am feeling stronger every day.

The babies are doing well. Especially for their gestational age (29.5 weeks). There have been some ups and downs, but overall we have been very, very lucky. We expect this will be a roller coaster for the next few months... but so far we feel very blessed. We named our little girl Emery Grace and the boys Parker Robert and Isaac Matthew. We are in love :-).

I have a blog that is for family and friends where I am periodically posting pictures. PM me and I will send you the link... my other blog will be shut down in the next day or two.

How are things, Tina?

Hi! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Angie~ Still walkin your lil feet off? Sorry to hear Ms Amelie has turned into a screaming banshee! Poor little thing (and you!). I hope things have gotten better, sounds like a rough time.

Tina~ I've been thinking about you and Noah and can't wait to hear all the news. I hope things are going well for you.

Sassy~ I pm'ed you for the link. So glad to hear the four of you are doing well.

How is everyone else?

Vicky~ How's Benjamin? I bet he's staritng to get big already.
Jenn~ How are you and Anna?
Meg~ Any more beach trips? How's the weights loss plan coming. DH and I are still actually doing pretty good. I have been doing a walking/running combo on the treadmill and we do it every day. I still haven't lost that much but I feel better.

Ok girls so I am ready to KILL my neighbor (but I guess I have to wait until she gives birth). Seriously I don't believe the nerve of this girl. I told you about a month ago how she came up to my house rubbing her belly at my kitchen table for 30 minutes and complaining about how much weight she gained after she "had such a hard time losing it" and knowing full well EVERYTHING dh and I had been through. So basically I have just been trying to avoid her (and keeping my sister off of her because she is really ready to kill her). So yesterday she comes up to our house with her 2 year old and unfortunatley for dh I knowingly threw him under the bus! I saw her coming and ran up satirs to start coloring my hair. He answered the door and she went on, and on ....AND ON about the pregnancy and gave him step by step graphical detail about how things have gone since we last "ran" in to her (when we weren't lucky enough to escape!!) She, again, rubbed her belly the entire time and talked about nothing but this baby. She had him out there for 20 minutes. I seriuosly am going to LOSE my ever lovin mind with this b***h! I swear it's almost like she does it on purpose. Not to mention the closer our "due date" comes the harder it is getting for us.
Ok enough ranitng for now, thanks for listening!

Talk to everyone soon.

I wanted to let you all know that NOAH IS HERE!!! I have to admit that I had the most wonderful labor and delivery and truly could not have asked for a better experience. Little Noah arrived weighing in at a healthy 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is beautiful and all the nurses kept commenting on him and his beautiful skin coloring. The nurse yesterday said he had the lowest jaundice level she had ever seen. I feel so incredibly blessed. Breastfeeding is tough though, but hoping we get the hang of it soon. I will post a few pics.

I will post more later. Hope everyone is doing well!
