silverangel - You are having twins, Congrats!!! Very exciting having twins.
JDC - Thats a Good News, your beta number is promising!!! Now you can relax abit and just wait for the scan. I have to wait till 9/03 for mine.
Kimmysq - Few days ago I had sudden tinkle in my throat at the middle of the night that made me want to cough. Somehow my throat dry easily, think due to the cold weather.
Ladies:
Can you please let me know if you have had an u/s that showed a hb.
My u/s is Monday and I will be 6 weeks 1 day. I keep wondering if I should wait a couple days so i can see the hb. My IVF coordinator said it would be 50%. What do you think???
Need advice please.
I totally think you should go ahead with it. I had my first u/s at 5 weeks and 6 days and we saw the hb! It was amazing feeling!! As long as you understand that you may not see it, I think you would be prepared if you didn't and not worry too much. Good luck!!
kim, I had mine at 5 weeks 6 days too and all we saw where the two sacks, one bigger than the other. They told me that they where not expecting to see the H/B's at that point, just a sack and maybe a yolk sack. But you see that Elisabeth had hers at the same point and they saw a H/B so it really could go either way.
So I say go in and just be prepared but also remember that Elisabeth was VERY LUCKY to see so much so early. They told me that they don't even begin to look for H/B's until 7 weeks. Good luck in what ever you decide to do but don't make your self crazy. You'll see your baby's heart beat in time.
Hi Ladies:
Well, Imoved my 1st u/s, I am now having it at 6weeks, 3 days. I should have a better chance of seeing the hb. My dh and I are going to the u/s and then off to a cute lunch. It should be nice.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Kim
Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well.........lots of ultrasounds going on these days! Mine is tomorrow and I am soo nervous. Excited, but nervous.
Is anyone having cramping? Not severe, just kind of dull, achy cramps all over? I am also so hungry all the time. Every hour or so my stomach feels really empty, like I haven't eaten in a week and it makes me feel so nauseous! Also sooo tired. Anybody else having symptoms like these???
I am not complaining though! The symptoms make me feel like it is all still real so it makes me feel good!
I'll update after the ultrasound tomorrow........really hoping to see that heartbeat!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Angles of Wishes:
Your betas are awesome, I can't wait to hear how many. How far along will you be at your u/s?
I have felt pretty good all week, but today I am just exhausted. Matter of fact, I came home from work and am resting. I had a little brown/pink spotting. It scared me, so I am just going to take it easy. I also get that yucky feeling in my tummy and have nausea. Like you, I am happy to have symptoms!
Kim
Silverangel - Congrats on the twins, that is so amazing and I know you guys must be thrilled. When you did the U/S were you able to see the yolk sac or just the gestational sacs. How far along are you? The nausea hit me exactly at 6 weeks. I have lost 4 pounds this week because I haven't been able to eat much at all.
JDC - Nice beta numbers. I am sure that helps to put your mind at ease. Take it easy.
Kimmysq - are you taking your vitamin at night right before bed. That has helped me a lot. My doc also says that vitamins make you feel hungry so that is another reason to take it before bed so you don't overeat.
As far as the ultasound goes, I had mine at 6 weeks to the day. All we say was the gestational sac. My RE was pretty surprised as he was expecting to at least see the yolk sac so we are up in the air at this point as to whether or not this is a viable pregnancy. I go in for a second u/s on Tuesday which will put me at 7 weeks so if we don't see something then it doesn't look to good. I would prepare yourself to not see the HB that way if you do it will be an added bonus but if you see the sac and the yolk sac you are progressing nicely.

DcDiva- Thank you so much. yeah we're way excited and a little nervous about two babies but it's all good. We can't wait to meet our little angels. We've waited a long time for them.
We had the U/S at 5 weeks 6 days and we just saw the gestational sacs. the technician said that that was fine because if I had come in maybe the next day they would have been able to see the yolk sacs because at this point 1 day makes a big differance.
And from what i gather from your post, if your going to be 7 weeks on tuesday then you and I are at the exact same stage becasue I will also be exactly 7 weeks this tuesday. You due date is April 14th '09, am I correct? That's mine.
Hi ladies! I'm only 5 wks today and I just weighed myself and I've already gained a few pounds and my jeans are very tight. I guess not doing any excercise during my ivf cycle has caught up to me. Oh well, I guess I better get used to it!
Well, I have my first u/s this Sunday....looking forward to it!

Baby due 4/18/09!!
hey angel, congradulations on seeing the baby's heartbeat. you must be so excited. I'm a little worried right now because so far that's two girls that've seen the h/b at 5 weeks 6 days and all we saw where sacs. Did any one have any other expiriences where it was later?
Angel of wishes, congrats on seeing the heartbeat! Isn't it an amazing feeling? I'm sure you and your hubbie are walking around with huge smiles on your faces!! Wonderful news!
JDC: I'm sure the tight jeans is due to all of the bloating and swollen ovaries. I think that the ivf also makes us feel like butterball turkey's being pumped up with hormones. I know that my clothing was starting to get tight, but now it has gotten a bit better. So maybe the swelling/bloating has gone down a bit. I haven't dared to step on the scale. I don't think I'd like what I would see!! But, in the end, all of this rest/lying around will be worth it if we all have little ones in our arms!
SilverAngel: I don't think you should worry that you didn't get to see a HB. I think this is the exception more than the rule at less than 6 weeks. Keep your chin up and I'm sure you will see two wonderful hb at your next u/s.
DCDIVA: I am still thinking of you everyday and hoping that your 7 week apt goes really well and that you are able to see more! Lots of Babydust headed your way!!!
As for me, I had a real scare yesterday! Two days ago, I woke up with mild cramping and then had red blood which seemed a bit more than spotting. I went through 2 liners and I felt like my breasts were no longer as sore. So, the clinic saw me again yesterday for another u/s. I was so scared that we would no longer have a hb, but I was very blessed to see that everything was just fine. The baby had grown 2.5mm since monday and the hb was up to 118 bpm. So the MDs just told me not to overdo it and to come back on Wed for another check. I guess spotting/bleeding is still fairly common, but I sure don't like it!!! I hope no one else has to have such a scare. It has made me really cautious as I hope we don't end in another m/c.
SilverAngel........do not worry!!
I truly believe that in my case our little blastocyst just immediately got in there and implanted that very day b/c 4 days after transfer was my first bfp.......which means it has had at least a few days extra to grow and develop! I definitely think it was more the exception than the rule to see the heartbeat this early. I think we were all pretty shocked to see it today, even the doctor!
So definitely don't worry! I'm sure you are going to see TWO beautiful little hearts beating very, very soon. Just keep thinking positive, happy thoughts about your babies and all will be fine!!
Please keep me posted! I will look forward to your good news!!!

Elisabeth: wow...I am so glad everything worked out for you! I would have been nervous as well but everything seems to be ok and that is just great!
Angel: congrats on seeing the HB today! That just must be so relieving and exciting to see!
JDC: You are one brave lady...no scales for me!!! LOL! I feel the same way as you do and don't like it! My clothes are also getting a little tighter and I just feel "blah." Before this whole process I was an aerobics instructor for years. I was forced to not teach any classes so just sitting around is not really my style. Well, it wasn't anyway...seems like it is now! Just embrace the changes your body is going through. It is all for a good cause!
SilverAngel: congrats on the twins!!! WOW!!! that is so exciting!
For everyone else...glad to see you are all hanging in there. We were all so busy with betas for a while, then all waiting yet again for first ultrasounds! Mine is next wed which seems just too far away. I am a little concerned because I am not feeling ANYTHING. I don't even feel pregnant to be honest. Not cramping, no nausea, nothing. I feel that I just need the reassurance that things are still good, ya know? I am 6 weeks 1 day now. So glad for you all to be doing so well...have a great day!
