Hi everybody, just a quick note from a very proud dad whilst I have a spare second amongst all the madness.
Baby Sam got bored of hanging around and he has made a suprise appearance 7 weeks early, Thursday the 2nd at 10.43pm. He weighed in at 4lb 7oz and is doing very well. He's going to be well cared for in hospital for a while (don't know how long for yet - I want him home now!). Zoe is fine and will probably be allowed home in the next day or two, so I'm sure she'll be on at some point to give you all the extended version.
Wow, I bet that was a surprise! Congratulations on the birth of Sam, good weight for an early one, obviously couldn't wait to say Hi to his Mummy and Daddy!!!
That's a bit scary for me too, as I am due in less than 7 weeks, will pack my bag tonight!
Wishing you all a very very happy future together, have fun, and hope you can take little Sam home very soon.
What a surprise to log on to your news; obviously Sam wanted to keep up with his cyber cousin Alex!
Congratulations Zoe and Steve and welcome to Sam! It sounds like he was a good size for being so early. Here's hoping that it's not too long before you're all home together.

OMG Zoe - how could you and Sam do this to me , I'm really starting to panic that we are not ready yet so I'd better keep my legs crossed.
So that aside, this is terrific news - congratulations to you and Steve (and well done for logging on and posting your news ) on Sam's birth and hope that Sam will be home with you both in the very near future so you can finally enjoy family life together.

Thanks for all the lovely messages, will tell you all about it soon (you lot love your details, especially Nikola!!). Sam's doing well and put on 60gms of the 90 he lost in the first 3 days - in fact, he's doing better than me and Steve as we're finding it hard to get a routine for visiting the hospital and we're there most of the time...It's worth every second though!
Fiona - don't panic!!! As for keeping your legs crossed - no chance - apparently I was trying that and saying in the labour suite 'he's too early at 33 weeks!' I'm laughing as I remember little it was all so fast - about 2 and half hours in total....
I'm glad everything is ok! Sounds fast and furious.....I do like the gory details. I don't know why, its a bit like watching a horror movie, I just like scaring myself silly!!!
Sam sounds like he is doing well, I do hope he'll be home with you and steve soon. Life must be v.hectic for you at the moment.
I'll look forward to you posting and telling us you are all home safely and then you can start a proper routine!!!
