Elisabeth: Glad to hear your scare turned out ok ... I can only imagine how you felt until you got the reassurance.

JDC: I laughed when I read your post, as I feel the same way. Like RN I was an avid exerciser prior to all this and now I feel like a lazy bum. I actually did step on the scale yesterday and lost 2 pounds in the past 6 weeks, unfortunately, my clothes fit tighter telling me I've lost muscle mass. All for a good cause!

SilverAngel and Dcdiva: I think everyone is different and on the u/s you will see more. Hang in there and try to stay positive.

Angel: Congrats! You and HB are on cloud 9, enjoy it and celebrate this weekend!

RN: We are exactly at the same spot, 6w1d. I had thought until yesterday that I was farther along, as I counted from my last period but my clinic uses my ovulation/ER date to get a more accurate date. BUT I am with you on the symptoms. Every now and then I feel a little weird, I guess you could say nauseous, but not much. I have my u/s Tuesday and I am trying to think positive. I think its funny that I'm actually wishing I had more symptoms. I emailed my nurse yesterday and I think she could sense I was getting nervous. She emailed back that she expects a great u/s on Tuesday and not to worry. It put my mind at ease, for the most part.

I hope everyone else is also doing well and I wish you all a relaxing weekend. I am a teacher and this is my last weekend of summer vacation. Back to work I go Monday.

RN2005: I totally understand how you are feeling as I was a very active advanced step/ muscle strength teacher for years and gave it all up when we decided to begin this fertility process. It seems like all I do now is sit on the couch. I have lost a ton of lean muscle mass and have put on a bunch of fat, too! When I saw the doctor last I asked him if I could begin light exercise and he asked what I used to do. I told him that I used to run 4-5 miles several times a week and do step/weight classes and he told me that I could do none of it. He said I could take a few leisurely walks around the block but nothing with distance. blah blah blah...I absolutely do not want to do anything at all that would jeopardize this pregnancy, so I know resting is for the best cause in the world, but I never really thought being this inactive would be so hard on me. For all the women out there that have to go through bed rest, I have a totally heightened level of respect for them and pray that we don't end up there!

Hopeful in SD: Enjoy your last free weekend prior to work! Are you planning anything fun??

And, for all of you who don't have symptoms and haven't had an u/s, I'm here to say that I really don't have many symptoms at all. Sore breasts and late afternoon fatigue is about it. I haven't had an ounce of m/s or nausea, so don't worry, I'm sure your little embie is doing great!!

Hopeful: I am laughing at how you stated you were wishing you had symptoms....because SO DO I! Isn't that so weird to say outloud? DH looks at me like I am crazy when I say that. He will leave for work and say, "bye, I hope you feel really sick today!" LOL  It is just because I need the reassurance that something is really going on and that I am actually forming life! I agree, I have times when i just feel "off." So glad your nurse emailed you back. I wish mine had email...I thought about calling her, but I thought that she probably has better things to do than to return phone calls fro paranoid patients. Your u/s is tues?? I will be thinking of you! Mine is Wed. Have a good weekend!

Jdc - We are in the same boat. Don't worry about the excessive gain weight. WE are going to be a beautiful pregnant mother. I haven't weigh myself, but just looking at the mirror, looking at my tummy and my double chin, yes I know I most probably gain 4 kg. So no more jeans for me as they are all too tight. But I definitely refuse to wear my DH pants though he voluntarily ask me to.

Angel of wishes: You heard HB that's awesome!!! The best music in the world I would say. I hope I will hear that music too when I go for u/s on 09/03.

Elisabethski73 - Hope you are allrite now and the spotting has stop. But its great to hear that your embies doing allrite. Take care and don't overstress yourself. Take plenty of rest and enjoy the weekend.

silver angel - Think you went early for the scan. So don't worry first coz I believe you will hear the hb in you next scan.

rn2005 - Like you I have no symptoms. No cramping and no m/s. The most comforting for me is that my boobs now size B from A and its firm. Yes I know its due to progesterone and Im loving it. So I will just cling to that tiny little symptoms as a comfort. I have a fren who has so much cramping that she is so scared that her menses coming but here Im scared because I have no cramping. Its a dilemma isn't it  .

Hopeful SD - All the best for your u/s on tuesday. I think I wil be the last one to go for scan and by that time I will be in 7weeks. Wish I can scan earlier.

Ok everyone Have A GREAT WEEKEND AND ENJOY BEING PREGNANT :D

I want to say thank you to all you wonderful ladies for your encouragement and well wishes. You have all truely made me feel better.
I know everything will be fine at the next u/s and that I shouldn't expect too much too soon but it's just so easy to freak out at this stage.
We've waited so long and we've already lost a baby last year so I suppose I'm just trying to prepare myself if something happens again because we we're TOTALLY sucker punched last time.
But I feel much better now thanks to you all and I will keep every one posted on my little sweetie's progress.
Thank you all again and have a great weekend everyone!!!

SilverAngels679 Glad you are feeling somewhat better. It is so easy to worry everything to death right now, especially after what you've been through.

hommy That's right, beautiful pregnant mothers! Actually that day I was especially cranky and hormonal.

To all the "non sympotmatic" ladies: I was chuckling to myself because I initially was upset because I had like one day when I didn't feel pregnant. Be careful what you wish for! Although I have not vomited, it seems after work I'm so exhausted and I feel headachy and nauseous. Last night I went to sleep at 7pm. Today I am out to purchase some sports bras to sleep in, I guess that is supposed to help the boobie pain. But no need to worry! My sil is 3 weeks ahead of me and has not had the slightest hint of a symptom.

Eager for my first u/s tomorrow. I will only be 5wks 2days. Do the other ladies also get u/s every week?

Have a wonderful day and let's embrace our wonderful pregnancy!!! :D

Elisabethski73: Wow, I am so sorry about your scare. Glad you and your baby are okay! How nerve wracking! I too have heard it is common, but I had some brown and pink spotting two days agao and I rested as much as possible. Glad you had an u/s to check that everything was ok.

Silver Angel: My IVF coordinator told me that at 6 wks 1 day there is only a 50% chance of seeing the hb. So, you are just too early. I am sure you will see the hb's at your next u/s. Excited that you are having twins.

Angel of Wishes: I am with you, my nausea is getting worse, but I am happy to have it. Congrats on the hb!

JDC: Can't wait for your u/s this Sunday. How exciting for you. I can't wait for mine....(not until Wednesday).

dc diva: I will be thinking of you on Tuesday, and hope that you find the hb. I am taking your advice and taking the pre natal at bedtime. It seems to help. Thanks for the tip.

rn2005: We have our u/s on the same day..Wednesday. It looks like you will be quite a bit farther than me. I will only be 6 weeks, 3 days. How far along will you be by then? I am excited and nervous all at the same time.

Hopeful in SD: How long are they making you wait for your u/s?

As far as weight gain and no excersise...ugh! I initially lost 3 lbs, but now I have gained it back and feel bloated. super ugh. Oh well, I agree, we will all be cute, pg Mom's!
Have a great weekend,
Kim

I've missed a few days so fell behind.

Elizabeth - I am sure all will be fine. THe spotting would make me nervous too but trust your doc and that this will work out! :)

Now, I already forget who mentioned gaining weight and needing bigger pants. I wanted to say that I am way bloated. This is normal for us right now. Also, after IVF and being pregnanct now, I am sure you have also cut down on activities, etc. I know I have.

Silver angel, My US was at 5 weeks 1 day. We saw a sac and start of white yolk sac. THey said it varies what you may see between 5-8 weeks. We just get to see soooooo much earlier than other pregnancies. You will be so excited next time. I cannot wait either. My next US will be THursday. I will be 6 weeks 4 days.

Enjoy the weekend all! I will be spending the day with friends at a party. I know I will be tired.

Oh, and my symptoms are very subtle. I get dizzy from time to time, exhausted more days than others, and bobbies hurt here and there. I also have some heartburn but had that prior to pregnancy too. No nausea yet, except 1 day but tums took care of that.

Elisabeth: Thanks, I am trying to enjoy my last weekend without stressing over every little twinge. The horse races are in town so we may go today but we haven’t decided yet.

Rn2005: It is very nice that my nurse has email. I’ve had some brown spotting the last 2 days which she said is perfectly normal, as I have also read on here. However, it still scares you when you get it, but thankfully I could easily email her and she got right back to me.

Hommy and Kimmysq: Yes, my u/s isn’t until Tuesday, I’ll be 6wks 5days. They make us wait until 6wks 2days but because that falls on a Saturday I couldn’t go in. They only do stim u/s & blood work appointments on weekends, well, and ER & ET. My doctor apparently didn’t have an opening on Monday so I have to wait until Tuesday.

As for symptoms, I did get dizzy a few times yesterday and it was funny, it made me feel better in a weird way.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

OOOhhhh. I am so glad I found you ladies!! Glad to hear that everyone is progressing nicely. This is pretty exciting. Just as a reminder...Tuesday was my first u/s and we are having one little baby. Since we were "discharged" from the clinic, I made an appointment at an ob for Sept. 4th...I really hope I get another picture then. I think my due date is April 12th.

To all the lucky ones who aren't experiencing symptoms....enjoy it. For the first 6 weeks I felt great (aside from the bloatedness and insomnia)...then thursday I started to feel uneasy. I can't say I'm really nauseous...I just feel a mixture of tired and dizzy. Today was better though. I am realizing that if I eat as soon as I get up and then eat something every 4 hours I feel better. I'll get to more personals later. I am also trying to enjoy my last weekend before I start work...ugh. Take care ladies.

Hi ladies....I'm feeling very down right now. I had my u/s and we could see the gestational sac but no yolk. The RE is having me come back for another u/s in a couple days. She did say there is still a chance it will be seen on the next u/s, but I'm scared. I am only 5wks2days, so I know it is kind of early. Has anyone else had u/s this early and if so, what did you see?

Antoak: So glad that you found the site and are doing great! That is so exciting that you are having one little one and that you already have been d/c'ed to your OB! Must make it feel truly like it is happening!! Yeah!!

JDC: 5weeks 2 days seems incredibly early for an u/s to me. I haven't heard of anyone having one that soon. I'm sure that you are feeling a bit down, but It seems that major advances are being made each day of the pregnancy, so I suspect you will see a ton more at your next one! Keep your faith! I'm sure you will feel totally different (elation) after your next u/s exam. Fingers crossed!!

For everyone: How long do we stay on estrace and progesterone? Any knowledge on when most RE's d/c these meds??? When does everyone's clinic pass you off to the OB???

I'm still not feeling much. But, I'm just going with the flow and praying each day that our little one is getting bigger and stronger! Our next u/s is Wednesday.
