I have been a long time reader of this site, but this is my first post. I have stage IV endo. Three years ago I was diagnosed with HPV, but since then I have had normal PAPs. My doctors don't seem to think HPV is the problem, but I have had 1 fresh BFN cycle (with 2 frozen follow ups that resulted in chemicals) and a recent new fresh cycle, also a BFN. The last cycle resulted in 14 blasts. Strong embryos don't seem to be our problem.
Anyone have HPV in the past and gone on to a BFP? Thanks

I have HPV too. I got a BFP during our second fresh cycle but had a missed MC 7 weeks in. I too am interested in whether the HPV is related. My RE doesn't seem to be concerned either.

I too was diagnosed with HPV, a bad strain, about 5 years ago. I never even considered that to be an issue with IVF. I had a failed IVF cycle this past July. I did have a low positive, for my first two beta's, but after the third test it went down and back to negative. I too would be interested to hear an experts opinion on it. My RE never mentioned anything about it to me.
I met with my RE yesterday for my follow up after the failed cycle and brought it up again. He said it has nothing to do with getting pregnant and it isn't effecting the outcome. I would just like to hear of some women who have had it in the past and had successful pregnancies.

I've never heard of any relationship between HPV and IVF outcome.
A quick check on PubMed found a very small study (just 17 HPV cases) that claimed a decreased success rate in women with HPV, and a larger study that found no relationship.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

I just read on one of the other threads that your having a mock cycle and endometrial biopsy to check your receptivity. If you see my signature I have had embryos transferred 3 times, and they dont seem to be implanting and I feel the timing may be wrong or really am not sure what the problem is although I definitely think its my endometrium and not my little embryos. . .
Could you explain what your RE is doing and how he can check the receptivity, what does the he test the biopsy for. . . Any help with this question is much appreciated and good luck to you with your future cycles.
Thanks so much, take care

Hi Kez01. How it was explained to me is that next month, after I get my period, I will be put on estrogen and progesterone injections. After about 2 weeks, my dr will take a small sample of my lining to see if the hormones present are consistent with what should be there 2 to 3 days past ovulation. I guess this is when your lining is most receptive to implantation. If the lining shows that it is ready, then he knows next month when he needs to transfer the next round of embryos. If it doesn't match up, then he needs to tweak the levels of my medication. I guess we keep doing this, until he sees that we are timing the transfer correctly with the hormones present in the lining.
My first FETs I was just on estrogen pills for about 2 weeks and the Dr did the transfer. He never once checked to see if we were actually transferring at the correct time.
I am hopeful that this is my problem. That the timing of the transfers have been off with when my lining is most receptive. I also met with another Dr before we chose to go with this second clinic who said that sometimes the trauma caused by the biopsy has some healing effect on the uterus and that they see a lot of success after the biopsy is done.
Good luck to you. We can't give up

Thanks so much for that information, I will add it to the list of things I want to discuss with my doctor. I had never heard of this before and feel almost excited that I might get the answer I wanted, that its just not working because the timing is off.
I had changed my protocol last time and didnt do the down regulation. I stimulated on menopur and then after 5 days of stims started cetrotide which is to stop you ovulating, ( UK, so you may use a different drug). I felt so much better not down regulating. I also did down regulation and oestrogen tablets with my FET and it didn't work, so I want to do a completely natural cycle if I can this time. No oestrogen either unless it is needed, just progesterone although in this country we only do the pessaries, I dont know if the injections are more successful. I sometimes wish I lived in the US, I hope my doctor has heard of this biopsy technique to check receptivity.
Anyway sorry for going on.
take care and good luck
