toobee - I read that if you get PGD you can forego the amnio.

kerpupples !!

Ya know I just read a post on here that said FET cycles have higher success rates- Did you see it??? Its fascinating-

Yeah I was wonderig what was more risky, the embryo with PGD, or amniocustesis

Sending many good vibes for a thick billowy and comfy lining for those embryos

From my understanding and meeting with DR's PGD is only a little riskier. In my case they are only testing for one thing, so I would have to do both. The benefit of PGD is that you know before you get pregnant. After they are already in and you do amnio, you are already pregnant.

At that point, if there are genetic problems, unless you would want to abort the pregnancy, it is too late.

Right. PGD is defintely something that needs to be carefully considered. I think its wonderful that they have the option available though even though tis not full proof. I find IVF to be an amazing process and so grateful for it. I know the original pupose or intention for the test is for people who are carriers or predisposed to differant illnesses or disease if I am sayig that right, something like that. We talked about it alittle bit with our RE very early on. I hope it all works out for you Amanda- :D

Hey ladies,

I had the ER today, I'm in a little pain, very little spotting (thank god) but I was in a lot of pain when I first awaken from my slumber. Now 5hrs later I can sit up and I feel much better. I had 19 embies all together and I hope I have a great team to freeze. My boating is gone I can now pee again  I can't wait to hear my report tommorrow.......and I'm glad for this part of it to end and a new and exciting second 1/2 begins.

I hope all of the ER's went well and ET went well too. I'll catch up a little, trying to take it easy.

19 eggies sounds like an army to me, no wonder why your sore
From that number I imagine your odds are very high for some frosties

toobee - I think those super high FET success rates depend on freezing using vitrification which I'm fairly certain my clinic does not. It's one reason I'm planning on changing clinics if I get a BFN this time.

Toobee, I am so excited about your ET today. you will be in my thoughts and prayers in this long 2ww.

JJake, congrats on your army of eggs, that is wonderful. I have 4 and 1 is not really mature, but there was an egg so he took it.

I am doing PGD for genetic reason, I carry a rare X linked disorder that my oldest son has. He was born before I knew I was a carrier.

I had an amnio 19 yrs ago and lost the baby 2 weeks later. I would never have one again, for me it would make no sense, I would not abort so why bother taking the chance. This way, with PGD I can rule out even putting back an infected embie.

There is almost no risk to the embie during the removal of the one cell. It if it is performed by a highly experienced embryologist.

Well I'll keep you posted on my fert report tomorrow.

JJake, Hoping, and Much Hope -- Congrats on all your little eggs that were retrieved. Keeping my fingers crossed for lots of fertilzation and sending growing vibes.

toobee - Congrats on being PUPO. Another person to join the club of all the 2ww crazy ladies.

soready - I understand going to a different board. It is so hard to keep up and it is really nice to have ladies at the same stage as you are. Just poke in here now and then and let us know how u are doing.

Amanda M - Good luck on your transfer.

So I ate a whole pineapple core. I definatly don't think I will be doing that again. I like pineapple but the cores texture just isn't for me but heck if it helps my little embies implant I will do it.

Praying for great embryos!! For those who have had ET, praying for pregnancy!! As for me I am really tired today but it probably because I have been getting up at 5:00 since I have to drive a bus. Also, a little constipation problem(TMI) Did anyone have this from your medication? What can we take for it?

For the ladies that had ET on Saturday, do you have any weird symptoms or signs? My beta is Sept. 5th so i am just counting do the days very impatiently(lol). Hope you ladies have a great night!!

Good evening ladies...a busy, busy day to say the least!

Toobee~ You go girl!! 3 blasts is fantastic!! Get ready for triplets!! :D
I hope you get some frosties after all. Congrats on being PUPO!! By tomorrow or the next day, they should be implanting!! :D :D

Much Hope~ You did great! I wish you to have 3 embies by tomorrow...3 strong, healthy embies. :D I'll be thinking about you! :D
Lots of info on PGD in these last couple of pages. I hope they don't find any problems!

JJJake~ 19 eggs is awesome and it's no wonder that you are a little sore! Second half starts indeed. Wishing you lots of strong embies! Can't wait to hear your report tomorrow. Sure was worth waiting a couple of weeks for that cyst to go away!! :D

hoping4~ Congrats on 9 eggs! We could have ET the same day! Wishing you lots of good embies.

Soready~ Good luck on your coming cycle! We'd love for you to stay with us but I understand that it's more fun and easier to keep up with women that have a cycle close to yours. I hope you grow plenty of good quality follies. :D

Stefanie~ Best of luck on your beta tomorrow! Welcome to our group. Wishing you a big fat number!
You're right to say that we get disappointed when reality doesn't meet our expectations. I've also learned to be grateful with what life offers me.
I'm like you, I don't make very many follies but one of those can get me pregnant!

SueQiwi~ Congrats for starting again...it's nice to feel like you're going somewhere. Sending you lots of positive vibes. Thanks for your encouraging words...I feel my time is now as well. I hope I'm right!

AmandaM~ I'm sorry you're feeling down. Concentrate on your good embies...some ARE better than last time and that's encouraging! Ghost said that many babies come from embies with some fragmentation. You know, in the end we can't change a thing. If it's meant to be it will happen...now could very well be your time. Feel positive about what you have and embrace these slightly less than perfect embies. You are in my thoughts and sending you all the baby dust I can gather.

kerpupples~ Wishing you best triple stripe they ever saw. You're getting closer and closer to being PUPO!

To all our PUPO girls~ Hope you're feeling well and that those little embies are sticking like super glue!

As for me, I got the day 2 report and the 3 of them are 4 cells ...2 are grade A and one grade B. I'm thrilled with that and I'm waiting for tomorrow's report. If all looks good I will transfer on Friday, if not, it will happen tomorrow afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for 5dt. I feel it will be Friday. :D

Much love and sticky baby dust .

:D :D
