I am so happy to say that we are having twins - I saw 2 hbs today. I am at 6 weeks and 5 days. They were so small and are named A and B. I truly am shocked and we are considering getting an aupair next year because daycare will be totally out of the question!

I was surprised that my RE didn't give me a due date. I totally forgot to ask this question today.....maybe someone can tell me. Is it ok to go swimming yet - I still haven't gone in a pool since being told not to after the retreival.

Just a quick post b/c I am wildly nauseated.
Kim 14: The sea bands helped this morning, but I am ready to try the dramamine this evening..I'll let you know how it goes. It sounds like you are in the same boat as me. I don't have any work travel until Sept 9. I am just dreading it...Do you travel alot?
Dcdiva: just so happy that you saw the heartbeat. Yeah.
Lauren on long island: Yeah, twins!!!!!!!!!!! How wonderful for you.

Hopeful in SD - I have heard that some people will see hb on 7weeks to 8 weeks. I think few days make alot of different to the embies. When is your next scan? Btw in my clinic, they will only one beta test and 2 weeks later for u/s. As Im worried about the beta test, I check it every 5 days (privately) to make sure the beta number is in the right direction. Hope to hear your good news!

!!! What a relief to both of you and dcdiva since you are both on the same boat before. You must have cried of relief when you saw the hb. Its really a wonderful present ever

So many of you gone for u/s.....arrghhh i have to wait til next week to see my babies. Well patience is a virtue..... Btw is there any correlation btween hcg and hb? and how high is the beta hcg to show the sign of hb? Going for another private beta test again this coming friday.

hopeful: i was 6wk, 3 days when i saw the hb at 118/119. No HCG done then. i'm inspired by dcdiva's story, and am thinking maybe you'll get ur miracle too

dcdiva: hey, congrats!! bet u guys are back on cloud 9...glad to see ur bean is fine and dandy!
lauren: congrats on the twinnies! - we'll have to start a new double trouble group...there's one already, but ladies on that are starting to talk about their actual children

BTW, when do you expect to actually HEAR the hb with ur own ears (doppler)? Anyone actually hear it?

Thank you all for your well wishes. It has been a rough day, but I have a little more hope after seeing Dcdiva's baby pull through.

Congrats to all of you who have had good u/s and seeing the hb(s).

Hommy: Keep a positive attitude and I'm sure you'll have a good u/s.

As for the question of when you will actually hear the hb, my sil who is a pediatric cardiologist told me today they hear them between 10-11 weeks.

Hi everyone. I'm excited to say they did see the yolk sac today on u/s ( I am 5w5d).

What a relief because I was really nervous. This is my second u/s and I have had bloodwork both times.

Hopeful - I'm so sorry and I'm praying for a miracle for you.

We heard the Heartbeats. They used the doppler and we heard them both loud and clear. And I'm only 7 weeks. I heard it at 7 weeks with my last pregnancy too.

Hi everyone

Just a very quick mail.

My news is that I had my 7 week scan today and the fetus is the right size with a beautiful heartbeat.........we are over the moon and found the last week so stressful. I have 'miscarried' the second sac that was there last week so that is good and explains all the spotting and cramping.

dcdiva - huge congrats on your great news, you must be so so happy. I had the same week waiting as you. The emotional ups and downs were just awful.

Hopeful - you are in my prayers. I was told that my fetus tripled in size in the past 7 days. Last week (at 6 weeks), I was told that the sac looked too small with a fetal pole (no sign of a yolk sac). The days waiting for the next scan are very difficult. My clinic told me to drink an 'insane' amount of water (which I did) and to get my feet up as much as possible. I am praying for you.

Kimmysq - good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Sorry I have to rush now (I have to try and catch up with work after doing pratically nothing last week)....great hearing all the great stories of lovely singleton and twin heartbeats.

Hello everyone again...
I am patiently waiting for my sept 8th U/S... my doc doesnt do second Beta tests if your first is really strong... which seems weird, after hearing all of your stories. hmmmm

Since I'm so new to this, Im not reall good at doing personals, but I want to! LOL soon I will be an old pro...
Antway, I now just try to pass the time and wait .... keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hi everyone... I had a scare yesterday, I am, I belive 6 weeks and 2 days... I started to bleed and then it turned into a brown spotting so they called me in today for an US... everything, THANK GOD, is fine AND we heard our little angels heart beats... Baby A was 98 and Baby B was 101, which they said was just fine for the time frame. I go back on Tuesday, 9/2 and then I start with my OB/GYN on 9/9.

These 3 months are ROUGH!!!

Thats fantastic news Jennifer!!!!!! Congrats!
I just spoke to my doctor, and he said to come in tomorrow for an U/S, since I wanted to see if I was pregnant with 1 2 or 3 babies!
I am pretty early on, only 4 weeks 5 days. But I tested a week after transfer at home, and got a positive.... so I'm wondering if the embies stuck extremely fast... maybe I'm confused... oh lord... I'm just all over the place!

Hi Ladies:
I had my u/s today, and am having very mixed emotions. Part of me is very excited and the other part is very apprehensive.

1st the Good News: We are pg with Twins!!! Yeah!!!!
We saw heart beats in both!!! Yeah!

??bad news: Baby A's heartbeat was only 87...baby B's heartbeat was 124. The u/s lady said not to worry, she was having a hard time getting to Baby A, and that she is trying to get a heartbeat from something that is the size of a grain of rice. She told me not to worry, and I have to go back next Wednesday. How can I not worry????
I am 6 wks 3 days, and the babies are both measuring 6 wks 1 day.
I am going to rest a little, then I will be back on to do some peronals.
