A Healthy Diet can help when IVF Fails

Post by vickib »

Dear Girls

I've just read a really interesting article about a couple whom had 5 failed attempts at IVF along with 2 ectopics and 2 miscarriages and have finally had twins due to a change in life style, after contacting an organisation called Foresight.

In brief The couple contacted Foresight after their many failed attempts. Foresight recommended some tests, using the couples hair samples. The test revealed the couple had an excess of mercury, lead, cadmium (a toxic bluish white metallic element) and a deficiency in iron, zinc and calcium. Foresight advised the couple to take certain vitamins, detox supplements and eat organic as well as exercise regularly. The couple followed this for 5 months and then started IVF again they got a postive result and went on to have twin girls.

I know you girls are probably doing most of the above, but every little helps. I too have been a big fan of organic foods for years and had a very healthly life style before my attempt at IVF.

The web address to Foresight is www.foresight-preconception.org.uk

Good Luck

have to say vicki, im a fan, i had my hair analyised by foresight
and started a 3mth stint on the supplements before my 4th
treatment, and yes i got my +itve and have now sent off another
hair sample and have now got a new supplement program, i also
did this in conjuction with accupuncture. I was up for trying
anything.
I found it very interesting to find out what i was deficient in,
which was quite a lot !!!!

good for u trace, as u say i think u realy have to give everything a go,
must admit if u think injecting is bad, i was taking 15 tablets(supplements)
at various times of the day, and im not the best at swallowing (no rude
comments pls girls !!!) but the positive side, i remained very healthy
all over xmas when everyone had that dreadful cold/virus i missed
it all !!!.
If anyone deserves this to work its you, we all know how each other
feels when it doesnt work, but u are especially supportive to everyone.
I see u have your blood test on the 20/2, not long now lets hope and
pray that there will be an improvement.
take care alisonn

I think you are right and I will be looking into it too!!!
I had reflexology done last week and she told me to go organic. No tea and coffee ie: No caffine at all.No chicken unless organic, and to take vitamin E supplements.I already take the folic acid and vitamin C,but I will give anything a go .She also suggested that I go and see a chinese herbalist, haven't got around to that one yet thought. As I said I will try anything if it gives me positive vibes and I have lost nothing except a decent cup of tea!!!!!!!

Hi,

just thought I would say that have looked into better eating myself and it does make a huge difference, I have gone organic on a number of fresh fruits and veg, and I have due to reflexologists recommendations been drinking more and more water, this has had a fantastic effect on my weight and skin although I am still generally shattered with working I have found this all beneficial. It does help if you can excersise to, I know it is a hated thing but isn't it worth to feel better and know that you are helping yourself ( I have joined gym, and am cheating by having personal trainer as otherwise I would cheat, quick run on the treadmill and slow walk home via either pub, or newsagents for choccie, strangely enough she is going through same tests as me )
