Hi Ladies!

I am new to this board and just wanted to congratulate all of you on your BFPs. It is so encouraging to hear so many of you that have had your u/s done and have heard HBs! So very exciting ;o)

I have had 3 betas done and will have my first u/s done on 9/5. I can hardly wait to see if there will be one or two ;o) In the meantime, it seems so hard to wait yet again for another date to come, but I guess that it just part and parcel of IVF.

I have calculated my EDD to be 4/27 so I am so glad to see that there is a board especially for us having April babies! I have loved reading the inspiring stories, though my heart goes out to those whose time has not yet come.

I look forward to swapping stories and to a healthy 8 months

Jennagirl - we transferred 2 4aa embies and the doc said he was very optimistic. We are too except that I have some pains in my lower abdomen today and tonight that feel like a mix between bloating and a stretching of my abdomen. Has anyone experienced this? Its definitely not cramps.... I am probably worrying for nothing but this IVF thing definitely plays with your mind....

fullofhope,
Actually, I am having the exact same lower abdominal pains... like pulling and aching. Makes me walk funny! LOL
My M/S started kicking in today, which feels odd. Its different than I ever thought, major mouth watering and waves of weird shuddering... NO VOMIT!!
Sounds like you have a great chance for twinsies! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! What a blessing!

I'd like to thank those of you with your prayers and well wishes. Today was easier, as I had to return to work, so my mind was preoccupied. I am drinking a lot of water, but unfortunately getting ready for a new school year doesn't allow me to put my feet up much ... my classroom wouldn't be ready next week. I'll let you know on Friday.

fullofhope I had very sharp pains, some achy and some pulling for about a week. Then it stopped. I think a lot of it was my body readjusting after stimms and also to the pregnancy. I was worried about it but everything is okay.

I had the same feeling on saturday when I laid down to sleep. That full, bloated, stretchy feeling in my uterus. It was great!!!!

Yeah, I recall having a stretching feeling during my first pregnancy pretty early on but it seemed that it was more around 6-7 weeks along. I also recall my doc saying at that time that its just the uterus expanding. I am still feeling it this morning but hopefully its just that. Thanks Ladies for your input as it makes me feel a whole lot better :D

Hi everyone

Kimmysq - huge congratulations on twins.....great news. Please God all will be ok. I know that you must be worried but just take it day by day and get as much rest as you can. Let me know how the next scan goes.

Hopeful - you are in my prayers.

Sorrry I can't do more personals but my input to the mails are that I am 7 weeks pregnant and I have that stretchy feeling in my uterus as well. Also, I have had on/off brown discharge for the past week. I had a scan yesterday - all fine. My doctor told me that the brown spotting is likely to be linked to the progestrone pessary and not too worry. It is not heavy at all but it always shakes me up a bit when I see it!

Joyanna: My doc told me the same thing. Mine isn't quite spotting it's just some discoloration and it's so faint that if I wasn't looking for it I would never see it. He said that he'd be surprised if it weren't happening seeing as I'm on the inserts 3x a day. So it's totally normal, try not to worry about it.

Hi everyone,

Do you mind if I join you? I am not sure how to calculate my due date. I thought I would be considered 3 and 1/2 weeks but I transferred 5 day blasts on Aug. 9th. The pregnancy calculator on this website shows me at 5 wks. I am kind of confused how this could be. Can someone lead me to a website or calculator that I can use to estimate my due date please? Thank you!!!

Hi everyone, and welcome to all the newbies...
emfossum...there's actually a due date calendar on this website...if you just enter due date calender or something in the search area. i think once you're BFP + 14dpt, then its considered 4 wks right then..have fun!

Okay, I think I am clear how they calculate everything now. So I am just over 5 weeks at this point, and my due date is April 27th. My mom is thrilled because it is near her birthday! :)

I am also experiencing some odd muscle pulling pains periodically. Usually when I go to lie down. I was told it is the uterus stretching. At first I was a bit scared, but it sounds like many of you have the same pains.

It is so nice to see all of you on this thread. We have gone through such a long road to get here. Some of you, like myself, are already moms. I just have to tell you the journey is amazing! I can even say that after I find my teenage daughter with a cell phone that she bought behind my back. Quite the fiasco, but the difficulties don't seem like anything compared the the joy they bring you. It is just a different rollercoater, but they are all good. :)

Emfossum: Welcome!! I'm a mommy too. My little girl, Sarah, is 10 now and she is the light of our lives. We never thought we'd have any trouble having more children and when we where rudely awakened to find that we where basically infertile, she became that much more special to us.
How old is your girl? Are you concerned at all about the age difference?
I never thought my children would be more then 10 years apart but she is SOOOOO excited about the twins.
