Opinions please... Ghost, IVF nurse, anyone? :)

Well I am 12 days post transfer today of 2 x 2 day embies = 14 DPO (I triggered on a Tuesday and ovulated 3am Thursday morning 2 weeks ago). I had some brown mucous spotting on Tuesday this week (very light) and cramping, Wednesday morning POAS - very very faint positive, Wednesday pm POAS - faint positive line but darker, this morning Thursday (I'm in Australia) was back to being very very faint positive. I guess I'm just confused - I thought morning test would be darker and what does it mean do you think that it is fainter again? Would I officially be due for af today? My Beta is tomorrow so I'll soon know but I'm just going crazy. This sort of thing happened my last cycle in February, (exactly the same days too - what are the odds!) Ovulated on a Thursday, had a 5 day transfer on the Tuesday, the following Wednesday afternoon had more of red/brown discharge, Thursday all day dark red to bright red spotting, POAS Thursday night - very very faint positive, POAS Friday morning - solid positive (not dark but not faint) then Friday afternoon/evening full on cramping and def red spotting, Saturday morning full on bleeding, bad cramping, POAS were getting fainter and were negative by the Monday when I had my Beta. Does it sound like the same thing is happening? God I'd rather it be a BFN then be messing with my mind like this... Sorry its so long I'm just going insane...

Jade - From what I have heard, not every HPT test is the same even if it is the same brand, box, batch etc. It is not a exact science on how dark the line will be. I would just think that the lighter test might not pick up the HCG as well as the other. I know this really doesn't help seeing that you were going thru the last cycle and you got a BFN. There is still hope and just wait till tomorrow when you get your Beta. You still have a positive HPT so your HCG is 25 or over. Good luck.

You sure make it sound the same, but there's no way to tell now. For now, you know you have that faint positive. Go with that, and try not to worry.

By the way, I think you are very brave to be going through this in the first place. Everyone has high hopes, and therefore worries about the potential let down.
