Good News - I have the result of the first blood test and it came in at 2,200....though I must say I have no idea what that means, only that this is an acceptable reading for being pg at this stage. Does this mean anything to you girls?
I have another test tomorrow and I get the results on Thursday and if the reading has doubled that means that I can start to relax until the first scan. The hospital seem rather optimistic and have even booked my first scan date for Thursday week.
Thanks so much for all your support.

Hi Fiona
Is 2,200 really a good level, I've just no idea what they consider good - do you know what they range from? I know I'm probably being paranoid but this process has made me good at that!
How are you sweetie? Really not too long to go, when do you stop working?

Hi Michelle
Thats fantastic news about your blood test. I don't know what the levels mean as they don't blood test at our clinic, they gave us a pregnancy test to do which came up a strong positive and then we did a clearblue one too which also came up with a strong reading so I'm assuming all is ok!!
I'm really chuffed for you and hope tomorrows test gives is good news too and I'm sure it will be.
Look after yourselve(s)!!!
Love Dawn

Anything over 50 i think is a positive pregnancy, so being so high may indicate twins!!
:) :)
well done, helen :D

Hi Michelle,
That's really good news!

My clinic do blood tests, the first reading about 2 wks after transfer needs to be over 25 for you to be pregnant and I think that anything over 50 is good. After that, they want to see it double every 2 days. It sounds to me like you may have a strong positive result!!

Hi Girls
Well I am over the moon right now. The hospital said that my levels are exactly where they want them to be (4,222 - whatever that means)....anyway dh and I feel so relieved right now and feel that we have got over another hurdle and we can relax until our scan in one week.

I did ask the nurse today what my levels meant as they seem way above the 50 mark to be pg (from what you guys have said), and they said each hospital reads results differently and I can't compare this to another (lot of bloody help that is!)....I also asked if my reading meant I was more likely to have twins and she said that they really don't know at this stage - seems a bit strange to me. They also told me that it is very early days and that I shouldn't get too excited - well too late, I bloody well have!

Ursuala, thank you so much I did get your e-mail and I replied immediately, I even went into my profile box to check that it was sent. Have you checked your profile box that there is nothing there...very strange. I hope that you are well and you are so sweet to watch out for me. Do you plan to cycle soon?

Lots of love

Michelle

Thank you so much for all your lovely and encouraging posts, they have so helped me through this anxious time.
