All you ladies with the BFNs.

My first BFP last time was on day 12 (past retrieval) and I had twins. So don't despair! My friend got hers much later, day 16...strange eh?

Anyway, donor eggs are starting to come to mind. Ugh. My follies are doing weird things.

today I had 16.8, 13.5. 13.3, 9, 9

the 16.8 was growing like crazy 6mm in two days, now it made it only 1 mm in two days! What gives???

I am already thinking this is going to be a disaster. ARGH!
Me: 44 severely reduced reserve
DH: 44 perfect

Turtule- Yay for the faint positive :). How many days past transfer are you and what day did you have your transfer on? I am sure it will keep getting darker and darker. Glad to hear the storm hasn't caused many problems in your area .

Lynniecat - I also have had a few stretchy feelings on my right side. They weren't that intense. I haven't had manyu twinges, just a few. How is stimming. I hope they are growing nice and strong :)

To have fun, Kas and muggsey - I'm so sorry that you got a BFN when POAS. Hugs. I know it is hard but try to keep your PMA up and don't give up yet. I truly hope you end up having BFPs

As for me, not much going on. Still no symptoms. I haven't felt any twinges for awhile, close to a day. The DH says my belly feels firm but I think he is trying to convince himself. Last night I felt a little sick, but I think i was also trying to convince myself. :D A lot of people don't feel anything, so I am still trying to think I am pregnant.

Hope you all have a nice Labor day.

Amanda - I think I am 9dp3dt. I had transfer on Sat. Aug. 23. You don't count transfer day do you? I did a 3 day transfer. When i woke up I did not feel pregnant and felt more like AF was coming so was surprised when I saw a faint line. My DH is still doubtful about the other line but I had 5 other people look at it. :D I can't wait until Wed.

lynniecat - I hope your follies work out. I know how frustrating it is when they don't do what you except them. Good luck!

turtle- No you don't count the transfer day. I am 4 days post a 5 day transfer and feel nothing. I/m not giving up hope though. I'm so happy for you. I won;t be POAS. I would drive myself crazy about it until the blood test. Plus, sometimes I feel I am not pregnant and it is much happier to have one more week thinking that I am :) AF is due the day of the preg test too. So I could still wake up with AF before going it for the BW

Turtles~ Remember the little baby turtles we were talking about during your first cycle? Well, guess what...they made their way to their ocean and are so happy to be there!! That's really wonderful...I'm so happy for you. :D :D Tomorrow, the line will be darker if you decide to test again.
I thought you'd be ok with Gustav, such a relief! Now, down here in Miami, we have to deal with Hannah and another depression coming fast our way! Wow, this is too much. So far we've dodged the bullet and I hope we will twice more!

lynniecat~ Your follies are doing weird things, that's for sure. But the good thing now is that they are closer in size. Don't think about donor eggs yet, these are probably just fine! Are your E2 numbers increasing well?
Grow follies...grrrroooow!

Kas, Muggsey~ I'm thinking about you! This is why I will not POAS! Because I know how my mind works and seeing the absence of a line would drive me nuts! This is so hard going through this 2ww, no two ways about it. We are strong and we will make it.
Big hugs for the both of you!

Amanda~ I think the twinges and pulls come and go. I had that big cramp in the middle of the night and then just a few light twinges so far. But sometimes they are in strange places. So, I think you can keep on thinking you're pregnant...I do the same and it can only help!

Just popping in to send some feel good vibes to everyone and check in. :D I have read some BFN's from POAS and girls, until you have the bloodwork to confirm your hpt, try to be hopeful. Wishing for the next few days until your first beta is so much better than giving up.I too POAS, which was wiered, but thought I should join in  I got a BFN. I have "0" symptoms like some of you but until my beta on thursday I am PUPO. That gives me 4 more days of happy thoughts. Only on that day will I know the real deal. I belive the reason RE's test when they do, and not ealrier like we do, is because thats when they would expect to see an actual posistive or negative result. So lets all band togather and send us POAS some happy good vibes....baby dust.....

SO heres shout out to my POAS buddies, its not over till its over and you are PUPO!

Have a great Holiday!!

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone is having a restful Labor Day!!

Welcome Lynnie. Don't even think about donor eggs yet. Is this your first cycle?

to-have-fun Thank you so much for keeping such a great colorful list, I have a terrible time keeping up and it helps so much. Ihope you have a nice realxing trip.

Renee- good to hear from you . When do you start stimms?

For everyone that has POAS'd and got no line it really is early so don't lsot that PMA. I know it is so hard to keep but the BETA really is the true test.

For those that don't POAS, I give you kudos I don't know how you can hold out. I am an avid POAS'er myself.

Not much going on here just poking myself with needles. My first u/2 and b/w is tomorrow and I am quite anxious since last cycle was so bad. This time around I feel so unbelievably different. This is my 5th day of shots and I have gained 3lbs UHG and I can actually feel stuff happening I would guess it is the ovaries I feel. It kinda feels strange and liek someone is squeezing in my sides. Is that normal? Last time I felt not one darn thing.

Have a great Day!!!!

Hi -

I did not do POAS because i just told myself I wouldn't. But I can say this - I got a BFP and my boobs don't hurt at all. They are bigger (inflated) and now, the nipples are starting to darken but they weren't sore.
Last time I was sore and it was a BFN. That's not to say that this is the way, because last time I had a lot of symptoms that were similar to when I was pregnant a year ago and it was BFN. SO you just never know.

I tried to let go whenever I started to second guess every feeling.

Remember progesterone in oil will make you constipated (hello prune juice!), boobish, and possibly bloated.

Deep breaths ladies, this is the time where it's important to be strong and practice just being in the moment. For me, it was the only way to stave of the utter dread of that Beta test. I could never have tested every morning at home and put myself through that.

Wishing BFPs to everyone.

Turtles - Congrats on the faint positive and that hurrican Gustav wasn't as horrible as predicted.

Muggsey, Kas and Toobee, seems that we are all in the same boat. I am going to hold out POASing until Wednesday. Maybe it being Muggsey's b-day will also be a good luck charm for me.

Val - Those cramps were a very good sign for implantation. Crossing my fingers for your BFP.

MizTia - Good to hear from you. Hope your follies are growing strong.

stefanie - You have awesome beta numbers, I can't wait to see how many you have brewing.

I kind of feel better now that I found out you don't count the day of the transfer. I was thinking i was 10dp3dt. Now that I am only 9 it sounds a little better and another reason not to get a BFP.

Happy Labor Day ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great day. I am sorry that several of us have gotten BFN but I just keep telling myself that it is to early. We are PUPO and I will keep thinking that!

Chris - you are so funny! I am praying that my b-day will be goodluck for us both.=) I am not testing again until Wednesday either.

Turtle - congrats on your BFP. A line is a line girlie! I am so happy for you and your DH!! Keep us posted! Glad to see that the storm wasnt so bad.

Val - How are you feeling? Now I see why you dont POAS. It is driving me crazy =) But I do want to prepare myself on friday if it is a BFN because I have to go back to work at school.(I am a kindergarten teacher asst.) If I do a test on Friday mronging and it is a BFN then i willnot be suprised when I get the call! I hope it is complete opposite and it is a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

toobee- I have been reading online today about when ladies get there BFP's after IVF and some do not get them until there betas. I am trying to be very hopeful and positive. Praying we are just testing to early and i do know that implantation is different for each person. Maybe we are just late implanters =)

lynniecat - welcome to the board. You will really learn alot here. there are some very smart ladies here that can help you with anything.

Amanda - How are you feeling? Hope you are staying positive!! You are just a few days behind me. I am 9dp3dt.

kas - praying for you also. We just have to stay positive! Maybe it is just too early yet. Hang in there!

mztia - hope you are doing well on your stims. Grow follies grow!!

I am still trying to stay positive myself but it is getting a little harder each day. I am not testing again until Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!! I am PUPO and I am going to keep thinking that way. We ladies have to stick together and have positive vibes for eachother!!! Thanks for being such a great source of support!!!

Hi everyone,
I've really appreciated all of the positive posts people have been making about POAS and BFN's. I've POAS the past 3 days and have gotten a BFN every time. :( It gets me down but than I try to remind myself that it's too early and that the Beta is the true test.

Remember, depending on the type of test you use, even the ones saying that they can detect the earliest pregnancy, they aren't 100%. I'm using First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test and it detects BFP for 69% of women 4 days before a missed period. For those of you considering POAS, it is very hard to take the BFN's, I don't know if I would POAS again, I don't think it's really helped my frame of mind towards all of this.

So I'm just trying not to give up hope. I haven't really had a lot of symptoms, bloating and some tiredness, and that's it. But last time, when it didn't work, I had cramps and sore BB's...so I'm hoping the difference means something. I've pretty much convinced myself it didn't work, but we'll see with my Beta tomorrow.

To everybody who's having like cramps and are afraid AF is coming, I want to share an inspirational story. I have a girlfriend who was going through infertility treatments and was doing an IUI cycle. So, she was in her 2ww, and closer to the end she started having horrible cramps. She was devastated! She was absolutely positive that AF was coming. She had a crying a storm and then she went out drinking with her friends!! She was just THAT SURE that IUI had failed! But AF never came and about three days later she had the blood test taken... She has a 9 months old healthy baby boy now :D

Thought this would help
