Not hopeless, I'm feeling pretty good. When I was on Clomid I did not have any symptoms thankfully. I have the same symptoms you have with the injections, really emotional and tender in the tummy.

It sounds like you have a good # of follies. Considering they grow 1- 2 a day it shouldn't be too much longer for your follies to be ready. How often do you have bw/us.

My doc said my IUI will be done on Friday at 11:45. I have 5 follies but the two leads are 19 and 17. I only have to take the Ovidril shot tonight at 11:45 and then I wait for IUI. I'm so excited to be one step closer. I hear the 2ww is so hard. I'm going to have fun with the 2ww because time flies when your having fun.

I agree with you we can't complain because we are blessed to be in this position and even more blessed to get that BFP.

I wish both of us so many blessings and lots of baby dust.

Hi SweetAngel-
I go in for bw/us every other day. Today they told me I have 3 follies on the left that measure 11, 12, & 13 and 1 on the right that measures 9. So in a few more days we should be good to go. I just have to wait to hear further instructions this afternoon and clue the doctor in that I'm going on a business trip on Monday! Ugh! Perfect timing, right? I'm just hoping they'll know how to adjust the meds so I can bypass Monday for bw/us or IUI. But honestly I think they'll have us do IUI on Sunday or Tues. Fingers crossed.
Anyhow, good for you taking the Ovidrel last night and doing IUI tomorrow. Sounds right on track and we'll stay in touch during our 2ww. Fertility rollercoaster is no easy ride. We are definitely stronger people for doing it. My friends are totaly clueless, i mean, i share what i'm going through and find that talking about my struggles helps me get through it. But the only upside to the whole thing is atleast my insurance is paying for it. I got my drugs the other day and although the co-pay was high I asked what it would be without coverage... thousands of dollars per cycle. And that's just for meds. It sounds like you're pretty well covered too.
Ok, good luck tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you. And take it easy this weekend but DO have fun. Catch a movie or have a BBQ.
By the way, where are you located? I'm in Massachusetts and the weather has been perfect here!

Not hopeless looks like your IUI will be coming soon also and I will keep my fingers crossed that it happens on Tuesday for you. However, I am sure if you tell docs about your business trip they can adjust meds so your IUI can be after your trip. Are you starting to feel bloated or crampy yet?

Yes the fertility roller coaster is a lot and we are blessed that we don’t have to worry about the cost. I did the same thing you did with the co-pays. I paid a little over a hundred bucks for meds but the clinic said my meds came to thousands, so I was thankful for our ins company :).

My friends listen to me and I educate them on what I learn but it is not the same as talking to you. You can relate to what I am feeling and shed some light about things I don’t know. Unless you’ve been on this roller coaster you will never know the physical, emotional and mental struggles infertility can have on a woman. That’s why I am happy these forums are here for people like us.

I took off work tomorrow….After IUI I am going to relax and do my research paper. Went back to college and I am graduating in 2 wks (WOO HOO).

I am in NJ and we are suppose to have lots of rain this weekend which is fine with me because I am going to take it easy this weekend as much as I can. Our weather has been pretty good however today it was hot and humid (92 degrees).

I’ll keep you posted on the results of my IUI.

Lots of baby dust for both of us.

Good for you Sweet Angel-
Taking time off and catching up on schoolwork. Looks like you'll be wrapping up grad school just as your 2ww nears an end. Which is good - less stress, right? I know what you're going through, I went to school nights for over 5 years while working full time. Now my dh is a teacher and just decided to start a nursing program, which is nights for 3 years. Now he knows what I went through juggling homework, work, housework... not to mention at that time we were landlords too!
Unfortunately I talked to my doc yesterday and they were planning for a Mon. IUI. But since I told them about the biz trip they'll play it by ear based on my bw/us results tomorrow. One option will be a wicked early IUI on Sun morning with relations after my biz trip. Or if the follies are still slowly coming around we could do the IUI on Tues. I"ll keep you gals posted.
Yes, we're having a mini-heat wave too. But this Sat will be rainy in New England as well. And on Sunday I'm having some girlfriends over for lunch. To be honest, 2 of the girls are preg, 1 just told me she's preg, and 1 just told me she's trying. I feel like canceling the get together. But sometimes I make myself suck it up and get through it. I know one of these days we'll all have kids. :)

Nothopeles I just had IUI and I feel great!

Yeh when I finish school I will be finishing my 2WW, A BFP would be a great graduation present :). Funny my DH is a teacher also. He is a 7th and 8th grade science teacher. What subject/grade does your DH teach. Uh no adding school in with my daily life routine was monstrous. I took 5 to 6 classes each semester to get it over with fast and in 2 weeks its done ( WOO HOO)!

Sorry to hear that your IUI was planned for the same day as biz trip :(! Let's pray that your follies continue at a pace that makes a Tuesday IUI possible. What size are follies now and what is your E2 level.

Uh the wicked pregnant friends. While I am happy when my friends tell when they are prego I have to admit initially I am sooo jealous and just want to be alone. But like you said I get over it and interact with them normally. I mean if your friends are aware that you are trying to conceive they should be understanding to the fact that you are somewhat emotional right now. Do you think they will be touchy if you cancel your night with them? If you can get through the night I say go for it. Keep n mind you can end the night early when you've had enough. They are your girlfriends I am sure they will understand. Let me know how you make out with that also.

Your right we are all going to be mommies sooner than later.

Baby dust for us.

Hi SweetAngel-
I don't know what all the estrogen levels mean... but the last time i heard from the doc mine were in the high 300's. And since this will be my 8th IUI, you're right- they're a breeze... except i'm usually crampy for the rest of the day.
I'm going to keep my "date" with my friends. But since i've been on this IF rollercoaster for 4 years I've def had my bad spells where I barely made it thru baby showers and cried my eyes out the whole ride home. But I've taken 2 two-month breaks over the course of treatment which helps revive my spirits. And the upside to the this cycle is even if it doesn't work it brings me closer to doing IVF, since insur. requires 3 cycles wiht injections + IUI. This is our 3rd and last! yay!
My dh is a 6th math teacher and loves it. He taught high school and found his niche in middle school. He's flip flopped between 8th and 6th, whatever positions are available you know?
You're right- a BFP would be the U-L-T-I-M-A-T-E graduation gift. :) Ok, have a good weekend. Pamper yourself - get a pedicure or have dh give back massage. Mmmmm.... I probably won't check email til I'm back in the office bright and early on Tues. I'll let you know then when we did the IUI and how it went.

I was crampy all day after IUI and very tender also. I know one thing they say have fun with DH, all I have to say is it was not fun being intimate with DH because I am tender in that area (ouchee) .

IVF should definitely be a plus for your guys since you chances for a BFP will be drastically increased. If this cycle does not work for us we are considering doing IVF also. I am also considering unblocking my tubes and trying naturally. What is your fertility issue? Either way I will keep you in my prayers that this IUI cycle gives you a BFP.

Yeh my hubby loves being a teacher also. I always say you have to be a certain type of person to enjoy working in that profession because it is a lot of work and a lot of stress. You never know what your going to get from those kids from day to day. In addition both our hubbies are teaching the grade where their hormones are crazy. DH has told me some wild stories.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE IUI AND PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED ON HOW IT WENT.

Hi SweetAngel-
So I was relieved when I went in for bloodwork/us on Sat and the doctor said I'd do trigger on Sunday and IUI on Tues morning. Today! So I just had it an hour ago and now i'm at work. The tech read the sample counts and said it was my dh's best yet.
You asked what our IF issue is... actually it's unexplained. He's had a few low counts but overall everything is normal. And when I first started testing they said my thyroid was a little underactive, normal but not ideal for fertility treatment. So I've been on meds for a couple of years now.
So that's good that you're thinking of unblocking the tubes! But let's see how it goes this month for both of us. My bloodtest will be on Sept 23 so i'll keep you posted.
How are you feeling?

Nothopeless sorry for getting back so late been keeping busy with work and school however its great to hear all went well with IUI and that DH #’s were good. Sound like a BFP to me. How are you feeling? How are you making out with progesterone inserts.
Are you still on thyroid meds now or did u stop while trying to conceive.

My bloodtest is tomorrow to check progesterone levels and if I don’t see AF by 9/18 I go in for Beta test. I have been feeling some very very mild cramping and very very moody ( emotional) as of yesterday but that’s it. That kinda worries me because I have not symptoms. Should I be feeling anything at this point or do I have to wait until after implantation?

Either way I am going to pray for the best for both of us.
Keep me posted and I will do the same.

Baby dust to us....Lynn :D

Well Lynn-
It's tough for me to say what symptoms we would be experiencing since I've never been preg before. :) Personally I have sore boobs from the shots already. And I'm not on progesterone - maybe you're thinking of Kery. As for the thyroid meds, my fertility doc put me on them which I've been taking the whole time ttc and I will continue to take throughout pregnancy. The thyroid was just slightly underactive, which I never noticed a problem in my everyday life, so after baby (fingers crossed) I will simply stop taking the thyroid meds.
Ok good luck with the bloodwork tomorrow and I'm praying for a beta test for you next week. I go in on the 23rd for bloodwork if AF doesn't come early.

Hi girls
Glad to hear that you are both hanging in there!! The 2ww is no fun!! Yea the symptom thing well with my son I didn't have any symptoms at all. I even had a slight bleed the first month so I didn't have any idea I was pregnant till 2 1/2 months. Only being 19 I didn't have much idea at all about the pregnancy game! After all my cycles both ivf and iui I had sore boobs, light cramping and a bit emotional. I think it had something to do with the hcg shots. The only thing different this time was that 15 post the iui I started to feel a bit ill in the mornings and then from there the morning sickness got worse. Anyway everyone is different, some seem to have lots of signs while others only a few.

I am feeling ok. This little person I am carrying around is starting to slow me down a bit but other than that good.

So hang in there girls!!!!

Nothopeless your doc did not give you progesterone vag inserts (hmm) I thought it was standard with IUI as it is thinning your cervix. At this point are you taking any meds ( baby aspirin or prenats). I guess that means you don't go in to check prog level but only to do BETA test, on the 23rd is that right? I guess all clinics do it differently. However it is done I am going to pray for a BFP for us both.

Kerry were you on prog vag inserts? What meds were you on post iui?

I have been having mild cramping all day on and off, its like little twinges
( weird feeling considering I am 6dpiui). Just felt one again.

How are you holding up with this 2ww nothopeless. Its driving me crazy because it is so distracting.:x and it does not help that my emotions are like a rollercoaster.

Kerry hang in there soon you will have your beautiful baby in your arms ( smile). I hear women miss carrying the lil bambino's once they are born  .

Ladies let's hang in there and we will all be blessed with lil miracles soon.

Hi
Yea I was on prog inserts from when I did my prog test right up to 13 weeks pregnant. I was so glad when I finished those things!! When I went in for my prog test (before mt beta) it was slightly low. My clinic said that they put most of there ladies on prog inserts during the 2ww. I also took hcg shots every third day for 2 weeks and was also put on asprin which I am still taking. I also have a underactive thyroid which I take meds for.
