Congratulations. I could not imagine carrying around triplets, twins is hard enough. I commend you. Although I keep teasing my husband that the third embryo actually took and they just have not seen it yet. :)

I am so happy for you.

Good Evening Mommies!

Well, our party was a HUGE success!!!!! I am so super happy with how it turned out and I'm also glad it's over. We ended up having it pretty simple but about 50 attended. We had some yard games like crocket, bocce ball, football, and a humorous round of kick ball. There was music, TONS of food, and a keg of root beer for the kids. The kids all made root beer floats and thought they were pretty cool filling up off a tap. The babies had their own cakes but weren't too sure of them. They loved making a mess but neither one really liked eating it. It was the first time they had had sugar and I seriously think it made them a bit out of sorts. They cleaned up with the gifts and I have no idea were it will all go but so far they are loving all the new toys. After the kids went to bed we continues to party and needless to say I had my very first hangover since before I was pg.! Now I remember why it was easy to quit drinkning!
Even with a house full of guests until this afternoon we still had a great and relaxing time. I think it'll be hard to top next year! :D

Sweetmomi~ Congrasts on triplets!!!! What a tripple blessing! I actually have quite a few friends with triplets and would be happy to put you in contact with any of them. So glad you ahve joined us!

Stephjim~ glad to see you! I'll do my best to keep you entertained! :D  I only had 2 weeks of br but it wastn't too bad. Let us know how we can help you in any way! Hope it's smoothe sailing for you from here on out!

Sugabeanzs~ This may be TMI but my AF came back at 4 months even though I am still b-feeding. I was looking forward to a huge amount of time with it gone but no such luck for me. Bummer! Glad your girls are doing so much better! What a relief! They'll be home sooner than you know. HUGS!

Kim~ Glad Ellie bellie is better! She must be a mommy's girl! She is so darn cute! My Anna stil won't nurse! I try every day but it's been about a week and I'm going to let it go with her.   She's so independent and just knows what she wants that I can't believe she didn't do it earlier to be honest. Bodie is still going strong and I hope we hit 18 months but 1 year was my main goal and 18 months was my bonus goal! how's work going? Are you back in teh swing of things?

Kimi~ Love the new pics on your blog! The babies are getting so big and I'm glad they had sucha great 6 month appoinment. Give them all hugs from me!

Better run. Dh and I are simply enjoying the quiet! :D
Have a great night everyone!

Kholtan--congrats on the big party! Glad it went well....can't wait to see pics. Sorry that Annelise is done nursing. I guess she's going to be a "deadline" girl!  Always punctual---she knew 1 year was your goal, and she made you stick to it!

I'm going to try and post a funny video on the bucket. We went to a fair this weekend, and my kids were LOVING dancing to the band....

kholtan: Ugh periods. I think I am finally starting to stop bleeding from the section...it has been 4 weeks.

Well, Mackenzie is the chunker! 5 lbs!! I was feeding her today and looked down and she was starting to turn blue...little girl forgot to breathe!! I did not freak out like I think I should have?? I just took the bottle out of her mouth and tapped on her back a little and pink again she came. I still feel really calm about the situation for some reason as well which kinda is odd. She has never done this to me before but she was half asleep eating...ALSO she got moved in with her sister again! She was upgraded!! So now they are together again. Brooke is now at 37 cc!! She will start to bottle tomorrow. If she does great with a bottle she will get to come home soon!! Mackenzie may have to come home on oxygen and an apnea monitor but we shall see how she does. Their room is ready for them!

Truly, I am scared when they come home. Since they are in the same room now I get to be with both of them (yay!) BUT I was feeding Mackenzie and Brooke started to cry and I just wanted to comfort her! How do you ladies handle this?!?! I think I may feel overwhelmed when they come home...actually, I know I will!

Suga--that's great news about the girls! Although, I WOULD have freaked if I had seen Mackenzie turn blue---wow! You showed a lot of calm patience....I'm not so calm! Glad she's okay.

You will surprise yourself at how you'll figure things out with two at home. Yes, it will be daunting at first--especially if you still have some health issues to deal with when they get home. BUT, you'll do fine! When my babies were first home, they never even seemed to notice the other one crying.....even some days now, they ignore each other. Of course, there will be times when they'll wake each other, but twins are pretty resilient and can tune the cries out.

I hope your girls get to come home soon!

Ok help needed. When they come home, they will have to eat every three hours...It takes them like 20 minutes to feed and since they are so small you have to hold them upright and whatnot...When do I get to sleep!?!? The two hours inbetween both of their feeds?? I am going to be the crankiest person alive!! When did you ladies get this worked out and does it get easier?

Hi Ladies,

Kimberly! Glad your party was a success. Saw your blog photos and you look so happy! I've never seen a baby with that much cake on him. haha. How cute. Guess what, now it's my turn! I have a case of missing period. I don't think I am pregnant but I am hoping I get one really soon.

Suga, glad your girls are doing well. Honestly, I needed extra set of hands in the first few month. My Mom was here and I basically stayed up all night and took care of the babies and napped during the day. I tried sleeping in between feedings but I just couldn't get more than a few hours of sleep at night that way. If you are forced to, you will find a way that works for you very quickly. It is a lot of work, but you will get through it.

I have this large lump in my throat and the doctor told me I may have Throglossal duct cyst. I am taking anti-biotics for it and hopefully it would work. I think I am under a lot of stress these days and my body is letting me know (like the no show period).

ANyway, my baby's crying so must go. Take care everyone!

Sameera,
Have you called your Dr office at all about these contractions? My OB told me to call with anything regular, and it sounds like you are really having alot of them....
I would think they would want to see you asap to make sure there are no cervical changes.
I am 25 plus 4 (as you know!) and I have not had any contractions. I do have the cerclage in so I am not sure how that has made a difference, but I do get cervical checks every week. I wouldnt wait for the whole weekend to go by. I am guessing your Dr will want you to go on some type of modified bedrest to keep things quiet down there. And maybe some type of meds. My dr told me they want to know of anything of that sort because there are alot of things that can be prevented...
Dont feel like you are bugging them calling, they work for you!
Good luck and let me know what you are thinking about calling...Sara

Sameera: Remember me?? That sounds like I did!! Mine started to get that frequent at around that same time...the sharp pain, I know what you mean! Do not wait to call your doctor...go get checked wherever you can. They did not always pick mine up on the monitor but the cervix was sllooowwwlllyyy changing and did not think things were going on all the time...well low and behold the water broke! So yell at them if you have to to get them to listen to you! So, yes, go see someone, now. lol.

Hi group

I just found out yesterday that I am having twins. They saw two sacs - at 5 wks 4 days after some impressive beta #s.

I am so excited and also terrified, because I went on one board and it was nothing but stopped heartbeats and losing one twin and I started crying. I just remembered that we are not out of the woods and there are so many more hurdles.

It is nice to be on here w/ some people who have made it further along because I need to here more than just the bad. I really want to have a little hope.

It's hard after so much heartache. (I only had 2 embies, and they're both there! )

So today my friend and her 4 year old came over and I'm exhausted and right now and feeling twinges on the left side. It could be lunch, It could be running interference with him in my apt. Such a mistake.

I'm lying still right now, before going to get food for dinner.

anyway. That's kind of a negative intro. So also... Hello! I'm stefanie and I hope to be on this board for the next 34 odd weeks.

Health and growth to all of you.

QUESTION~

Post by stefanie »

Hey -

We have been really good w/ keeping the progesterone shots at the same time every single night.

But now, DH is going out of town and I have to get others to do my shot for me. Did anyone switch up the time within a 2-3 hour window from one night to the next?

stefanie: Welcome! I had 2 eggs put in me and both took and they are here! Born at 30 weeks and doing great (still in NICU). I had to stop the progesterone for 3 days, the shots, because I had an allergic reaction and then they put me on the pills (they go up the Vajayjay). I think I was only on them for like 4 weeks after they put the eggs in. As soon as they did the ultrasound at 7weeks I could stop. Some doctors are different than others. I think as long as the shots are around the same time you should be fine. I dunno about how long or whatnot, call and ask the endocr. they will tell you. But welcome!!!
