toobee - Congrats on a great BETA! :)

Well, I just heard my fert report. Out of 15 mature eggs they got yesterday only 5 embryos have survived till today (we did ICSI on all). The RE says that there's a definite egg quality issue and after he saw 10 of them turn abnormal and die within hours of ICSI, he was holding his breath this morning. I guess the good news is that I do have 5 embryos. However, I'm having a hard time keeping PMA about their survival in the next few days. I keep thinking "are these 5 good? Or are they just a little better than the 10 dead ones and it's all a matter of a few more hours before they go too?"

Not having a good day...

Sorry to hear that msfixit. I had a similar situation last time (though only 4 eggs to start). I know how you feel about the 5 embies, worried they will be bad quality. Maybe not though. I has only 5 embies my first round and 3 were grade 1 (best). Do not despair! Take you mind off it till you get your next report! I hope you are really please with some good quality ones!

That indeed is not the ideal news....but lets look at what you do have,...you have 5 embryos working hard for you....All you need is one good egg..JUST ONE..and you have 5....So although its easier said then done to always have PMA...and trust me I know all about bad PMA days...you have 5 reasons to celebrate right now. Anyway, I know your results arent what you hoped for...but they really are pretty damn good and you have FIVE...so try to send really good positive energy to those five...Lasltly, Its hard not to focus on every negative thing the RE's say...My RE almost cancelled my cycle at Day 3 cause I only had 4 follicles..so while I appreciate and love my RE, I do believe they make mistakes and from what I have read...some make bad judgement calls..allot of IVF is not an exact science and a guessing game...

Ill be praying for your 5 embies.....that they will grow and be healthy.
Stephanie only had two to wor with and ended up with twins....

Just as I expected a BFN Image Image:cry: . The nurse is getting with the RE and will call me on Monday with my next cycle. I am going on vacation in October so my next cycle will probably be at the end of October or beginning of November. Wishing you the rest of you the best of luck. I still will be checking in on everyone seeing that I am addicted to checking out the board and find out what everyone else is up to.

Hey everyone

Went for Beta- BFN

To_Have_Fun sorry about your BFN as well. I am seeing my RE on MOnday to discuss so i may see you on a November buddy board !!!

Unfortunately my DH is being re-located this month and we will be in the midwest till Feb (just in time for winter- did it once and said NEVER AGAIN but c'est la vie) so i dont think i will be using my South FL RE.

ALthough i have one try on Insurance in April i cant wait with my dim ovarian reserve so i will try out of pocket (Looking at web sites, it does seem cheaper in IL & IN). As i wont work while i'm there it would seem a good time to try......

My RE said he was really surprised it didnt work as everything loked so good - guess thats what they all say.... :(

Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I was on the last thread with Valerie, J Harris and Turtles (and a few others from here i think).
Wow Turtles, loads of congratulations to you - you must be thrilled and you really deserve it!

Good luck Valerie for your beta, I am keeping everything crossed for you.

So sorry J Harris, hope you are doing okay...

Sorry if i missed people but i haven't read through all the posts.

As for me, I had a failed cycle in June and am currently on day three of stims. This will be my 4th cycle - i was lucky to have success with my 2nd cycle which is my 3yr old Gabriel. So I really would love to have a sibling for him and I will think positively.

This cycle seems to be harder to cope with as I am feeling just so exhausted and have constant tummy upset which is very strange. Perhaps my body has gone off the idea of drugs, ha,ha

Anyway lots of baby dust to you all

Kas- so so sorry abot your BFN. I was so hoping for everyone today. Take some time and how great you will start again right away too. You and Chris will be bringing in the big BETA's in November.

Amanda- bad bad storm making you wait for your BETA. Just one more extra day!!

I had my u/s and b/w today. My E2 went from 1434 to 1762 not a big jump like yesterday but i'l take it. My follies grew a little(I talked to them and told noone to go over 18 so I could go another day or 2.) I have an 18, 1-17, 4-16's, 1-15, and 4-14's so we are gettingthere. My nurse is saying tomorrow will be trigger but I am secrectly still hoping for Sunday although she said no way. All in all this round seems so much better. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and those who are own today take some time have a few drinks, take a long hot bath, and try and get some rest this weekend.

Amanda: One more day just one.

Msfix:I have to agree with toobee, It only takes one and you have 5 chances. :) Keep your head up.

Hello ladies,

Chris and Kas~ I'm so sorry about your BFN. AAAARRGGGHH !!! This is so hard. Know that we feel and know your pain better than anybody.
Words of comfort are always hard to find...time is the best healer. I'm glad that you will both jump back in as soon as you possibly can!
Best of luck and I look forward to seeing your BFP real soon. You are both in my thoughts!! Big gigantic hugs for you!

Misfixit~ I know you wanted better results than what you got but five is still a good number. Wait for your next report on them and I'm sure that they are developing beautifully. Hang in there tight!

Prawnster~ hello again and welcome!! Nice to see you back on the stims already. Good luck and I hope you get plenty of good follies.

Mztia~ Still a good jump in your E2 numbers! If you get to trigger tomorrow night, it will be good. Lots of good size follies to work with!

Lynnie~ Congrats on the trigger even if it didn't go as well as it should have. I hope your thigh is recuperating after that shot...they sure can be painful. Mine hurt for several days afterward and I did it in my butt. :?

Amanda~ Sorry that your beta got pushed back. But it will only mean a higher number for you!

I feel for Amanda too as I have been feeling anxious about the test. It doesn't seem like it can get here fast enough.
So many doubts in my mind right now, I'm very emotional and crying for no reason except that I'm afraid that it won't work. I know you're going to say that I'm crazy with the symptoms I have but I can't help feeling down today. I have a lot of low back pain and the little cramps I have now are different and in other places than before. I'm analyzing everything too much today but I can't seem to stop it.
Sorry for the negative mood today. I guess tomorrow will be better.

Later girls...

Baby dust to all

Kas- I am so sorry this cycle didn't work for you. My prayers for you and your DH

Misfixit - I'm sorry that you didn't get better results. I know it is hard, but remember, it only takes ONE really good one to make a healthy baby. I will be hoping that the embryos become really strong blasts. When is your ET?

Lynnie- I'm glad you got to trigger. You are now one step closer to being PUPO. Those trigger shots can be really painful

Valerie - I'm sorry you are having such a down day. HUG. I have been struggling over the last week to keep my PMA up too. Like you said we would tell you, you do have lots of symptoms. I'm sure we both will get BFP's. Maybe even with 2 or 3  . Hang in there is it only a few more day. I too have been having different cramps in different places the last 2 days or so. Some of been in the usual AF places and really do feel like AF is coming. Others have been on my sides. And in my belly.

According to my doc my AF would come two weeks after my ER or possibly a few days later. 2 weeks will be tomorrow. So I am praying that I do not wake up with spotting tomorrow. Last cycle in Feb, I did have some spotting and it turned out to be a chemical preg. Although I talked to my supervisor at work today who is 5 months pregnant, and she said she felt like she was getting AF right before she found out she was preg and the month after. Please Lord no spotting!!!! Please let this be my time.

For those in the 2WW, try and stay strong. I know it can be very hard.

Thanks Amanda for the support. I'm trying to get out of this blue mood by reminding myself of the symptoms( especially that insatiable hunger ) and that I would not feel like that if I was not prego.
My last period was on Aug 6th and so my AF should have been here already. But I stimmed a couple of days longer, so I don't know if you count 2 weeks from ER or from LMP. One way or the other, I have no spotting whatsoever this far...I guess I'm fearing for another chemical. It's hard to get that out of our minds.

I'm going to my best friend tonight with DH so I can change my mood.

Much love,
