Auto Immune Disorder

Hi Everyone:
My dear friend just completed her 1st round of IVF. Today she got a BFN. Her RE feels she has an autoimmune disorder. He mentioned that perhpas her body is attacking the embryos. I do not know anything about this, or even where she should turn, which test to get etc...treatment options??
Does anyone have any information that I can share with her.

Yes know allot about it....She should talk to her RE about having her see a Rheumotologist if he suspects auto immine issues, A rheumatologist is a dr that sepcializes in auto-immmune and things lke that, and with that can be thororoughly checked out for auto immune issues. I would also recommend talking with a Reproductive Immulogist to run a full blood panel.

My SIL just had a large panel of tests done because she had perfect blasts put back in her twice and had bighted ovum twice which is uncomon.

She tested ANA positive, with Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR)

I have tested ANA positive with speckled pattern, Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and a host of other stuff


I have both and RE and a Rheumotologist where my bloodwork is monitered closey because of my history with CTD and m/c.
