I'm sorry girls but I've got to say it - you lot are absolutely crazy!!! Have just been reading your posts and can't stop laughing.
I'm afraid I'm a cat person (have 2 gorgeous boys) I know Nikola hates cats!!! I like dogs too though. I work in a vets so don't have a lot of choice!!!! One of the nurses has a weinaramer (sorry can't spell it) and he's gorgeous. I know what you mean about them eating crap as we had a 12mth old in a few weeks ago which died after her stomach burst (sorry tmi). i get to cuddle all the puppies and kittens though so it's not all doom and gloom!
Right am defo off to bed now

Dawn, I don't 'hate' cats, its far more pathetic than that - I'm terrified of the wretched things and they always know I am and want to come up to me! Yuk!!

Don't tell TS stories about dying dogs - this will give her something else to be paranoid about - on top of her already 'shrinking tummy'!!!!

Jeremy had a nice birthday yesterday - his daddy brought him home a squeeky ball which he is playing with under my desk right now (I do hope I don't have to speak to any clients!!), and he brought Arthur a little ball too - so he didn't feel left out!

Jeremy opened his birthday card (with a little help from Arf) got some lovely photos - shame I can't post them on here for you!

love nikola.xx

ps I told you we were more 'sensible' and 'grown up' on this side.....!! We talk about ANYTHING other than wretched ivf tmt!

Thank you for all your advice and glad we make you laugh Dawn.
When you two have quite finished telling me about dying dogs.......
Gabbie was fine after her hors d'oevres yesterday but I do keep an eye on her - she eats lumps of coal like they are going out of fashion and then I have to pick up black doo doo's - (with gloves nik!) and kitchen roll!!!
Today I avoided all dead animals and took some frolics with me to distract her - it worked - phew!
She is now on Chappie as the pedigree pouches and tins have been upsetting her tummy though she does prefer them.
Glad the birthday went well - a Kong is a great idea - must get one!
And stop being rude because I am older than you - don't think I am doing too bad for an old timer!
Dawn - I like cats but they are so superior aren't they and you can't play the same way with them - mind you would be easier with twins and cats than dogs don't you reckon Nik?
Must dash need to do some work!
Love

Hey girls

I think Marcus will wonder how his IVF Forum has magically turned into an Animal Forum!

I read a great saying the other day which made me smile-

DOGS HAVE OWNERS - CATS HAVE STAFF!

So true.

Nikola your not alone I know lots of people that are scared of cats and your right they always head straight for them!!
Sorry Tracey about the dead dog story, I won't tell you anymore!
I loved the phrase about the cats - it's so true in our house, many a time dh has slept in the spare room cos there's no room in the bed for him!! The boys look so cute when they're asleep that I hate to wake them.
I'm glad Jeremy had a nice birthday. I always buy Harvey & Moe a present for theirs although they can't be arsed to play with them. Moe is on the Atkins diet for cats so can't have treats as a present.
i suppose it's better talking about pets than granny smiths....!!!
Hope you all have a nice Valentines Day

Do you know, Nikola had the audacity to say on another post that I was mad - I think this latest offering just goes to show it is definitely NOT me that is the mad one ha ha ha
You've cheered me up no end, thanks girls!

PS I have a long haired black & white cat called Sooty and even if I followed her round all day with a hoover the carpet would still be covered in fluff bless her

Hi Dawn

I am a non cat person too and they always make a bee line for me and put their fishy breath in my face! I think cats are lovely I just dont like them sitting on me and clawing me. My DH LOVES cats and I love dogs so we are at a stale mate. I couldn't work at a vets as it would upset me too much. I cry like a baby at Animal Hospital and Pet Rescue.

Kat

Nikola is dillusional (TS have I spelt that right?). She is most defo the mad bird here closely followed by a few others. Glad we have cheered you up. Are you on treatment at the mo? Do you keep Sooty at the Vic? I've never seen her on screen. Does Alfie and Nana Moon get on with her? Sorry, Nik started all this didn't she?

Love Dagny xx

Hi Dagny, no I'm not cycling at the moment on account of pathetically poor response in Jan. Hope to be doing it all again in March/April, but I have to phone the clinic when AF appears as they did say they wanted to monitor my levels of something over the course of a month (I think so anyway, I wasn't really listening at the time  ). So that could be anytime really as my cycle is f***ed up. I'll keep you posted.
Sooty spends most of her day asleep in a pile of fluff on the bed (know what you mean Dawn about not moving them) so that's probably why you haven't seen her in the Vic  . WHEN I do get pg (note positivity there) I will have to call my baby Alfie if I have a boy, maybe not Nana if it's a girl though, maybe Dot......
The scary thing is, you know when you do that thing where you have to say what tv character you look like (or maybe no one else has ever done this) I would have to say Kat Slater (although my miniskirt & leopardskin- wearing days are well over) or if not her then Tiffany before she got run over and came back thin and singing.....

Hellllooooooooo everyone!!!

I'm sat at the kitchen table on my laptop - I'm not allowed in MY office, to use MY computer, cos dh is in there working on TRACEY's blooming website!!! So I'm sat getting back-ache in the kitchen!!!!

HO-HUM!

Kat - so lovely to see you posting!!! I really hope you have more luck with your next tmt, we could do with you over on this side on a PERMANENT basis!!!!! I miss our silly chats about Alfie and Nana Moon. I think you should call your daughter - Pauline!

Do you really look like Kat/Tiffany - gorgeous!! I'd say I probably look more like Fizz in Coronation Street!!!!!

Dagny - glad you are with me on the cat front!!! Very odd creatures......we have a ginger kitten that lives down the road and the stupid thing keeps coming to visit and Arf & Jez go bollistic - barking and trying to get out to chase it away!! Good dogs!!!

Jeremy had a fab birthday - its lasted all weekend. We bought him a Kong - you put food/treats inside and they have to learn to roll it around to get the food out - he loves it! Bless.

We had friends over to stay this weekend and they wanted to see our Bugaboos, so was showing them the pram/carrycot and noticed a few of Jeremy's hairs inside the carrycot - me thinks he has been sneaking upstairs into the attic to try out the new beds!!!!! I'll go up there one day and find him tucked in.....

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hi Dagny

I love dogs too in fact I prefer animals to people!!! I'd have loads but dh won't let me and theres not enough room on the bed!!
I thought I'd be in tears all the time at work but have surprised myself how your harden yourself to it. I love it when the puppies and kittens come in for their vaccs so I get to cuddle them all!
I have to agree with you that Nikola is ever so slightly mad although lovely!!
Talking of mad I convinced myself friday night that I wasn't pg so had to go to sainsburys at 9.45 at to buy a pg test!! Luckily it was still a strong positive but I still can't believe it. Will be 5 wks tomorrow and have my scan on 27th which seems like forever. I'm not sleeping brilliantly at the moment as getting up to wee lots and also not much room on bed! So am feeling quite tired. Am still on constant knicker check too!!!!
Kat, It's nice to hear your a bit happier, like Nikola says it would be really great to see you here permanently (hark at me who's only just over here!!) I had also imagined you to look like Kat Slater!!!! (How do you manage to snog Alfie without smearing your red lippy everywhere?!)
Hmm Nikola not sure I like this ganging up on cats!!!!My too are more like dogs though if that helps??!
So did you all have a romantic Valentines?? Mine was nearly a disaster, the vets I work in is inside a Pets at Home store and the store staff left at 6 and set the alarms but locked me and the vet in by mistake so we set the alarms off!!! Luckily the engineer reset it over the phone, I had visions of us being stuck there for hours. Dh had cooked for me and managed to salvage it then I fell asleep!!!
Love to all
Dawn

Don't listen to Nikola you lot - she looks nothing like FIzz - far too gorgeous for that and I am not just saying it because I feel guilty about the back ache - am sorry though!
Sounds like the bug a boos went down well - glad the weekend was not too bad - wonder if the beds have been tried out - whoops.
WEll off to do a spot of work - glad you all had a good weekend and KAt hurry up and get over here

Hello girls

Oooh I have a day off the old PC and have so much catching up to do.

Nikola and Kat, My mum tells everyone I look like Jennifer Anniston (oh, how I wish it were true!!) because my hair is just like hers (and no, I didn't ask for a Racheal cut, it just happened to turn out like it) My face on the other hand is not, but she is adamant about it. People used to say I looked like Linda Lusardi (I wished I had her breast size!) Fizz in Corrie eh? She cracks me up she is so funny - TS says you don't look like her. Who do you resemble, Tracey?

Dawn, I had a time when I didn't feel PG and did another test so you are not alone there love! In fact I became a bit of a serial tester and tested all the time as I couldn't get enough of seeing the blue line or pink dot appear  how mad is that. My DH had to put his foot down and ban me from buying any more. Spoil sport!

I am weeing for England at the mo and sleep deprived. I could start again about my DH's snoring but I've covered that before and he wasn't best pleased that I told all and sundry in the world about our nocturnal habits!

What an eventful Valentine's you had!

Nikola, on the cat front, I am in your camp on that one. I feel like borrowing Bill for a bit to keep them away from our garden which has turned into the Redhill cat toilet! Yuk! Smelly buggers. Sorry you cat lovers. What a sight it would be to find one of the dogs tucked up inside one of the beds. Has your dog nanny started yet? How is she getting on if she has?

Hope you are all being good

Love Dagnyxx
