sug, congratulations! how sweet it is..just know that after around 6 weeks the 'neurons' start clicking into the babies and they'll even out in their quest for crying, food, etc...oh, and sleep...wish someone had told me that it gets easier around week 7...and it's even better after that. Mine are 5 months old. I miss the newborn stage!

That said, I had help 24/7 during the first 6.5 weeks. Worth every penny, then got tired of everyone and fired them all except one college girl!

Kimberly...I swear, if you did not have a blog that I could see your pic I'd think you were just this made up dream come true mommy! HOW do you do it? Party for so many folks? Houseguests? taking care of your babies solely by you? I truly, truly admire you ... and wonder where you get your energy...inspiration.

Ladies, my babies are 5 months old. My daughter started rolling (YIKES)
I don't know where to start with the baby gates. Help!
Any sort you'd recommend? I need gates for doors, top of stairs, then I need play pens (I do have a PnPlay...time to use it)

Went out of town for almost one month to see family...chill time. Special time. NO SITTER, so it was a dream to be with the babes 24/7.

Love to all...wish I could post more..If I figure out how to upload photos I'll email them to Kim and Kimberly, OK?

Hi girls!

Woodcliff---I can't believe your babies are already 5 months old....that does not seem possible! We have Retract-a-gates. My MIL got them for us, and they are GREAT! All of my mommy friends are amazed by them when they come over...Here's the site: http://www.retract-a-gate.com/

Kholtan---saw the pics of the party--too cute! It looks like everyone had a great time! I love their ball pit. My two would LOVE it!

Stefanie--congratulations and welcome! Yeah! I had to do projestrone patches for around 10 weeks, I think? I honestly can't remember...I'd check with your doc about the timing issue.

Sameera--I hope you are under your doc's watchful eye right now. Take it easy!

Suga--Those first few weeks with the babies were pretty hectic! I had help, though, thank goodness! One of the grandma's (we have 3) came over every day for about 3 or 4 weeks. My advice is get some sort of schedule down as soon as possible. Whatever schedule works for you, do it. Good luck!

We have a bruised up girl over here....Ellie fell on our back porch yesterday and she has bruises and scratches all over the side of her face. We're supposed to go to a fair today, but I'm hesitant to take her out----she looks like she's been beaten up! Poor thing....she's just so reckless right now, so she seems to get banged up a lot.

Kim, sorry Ellie fell from the porch! Poor thing. I know how it goes with toddlers. They just have to try everything out no matter what the risk is (not that they know). Hope she heals quick! Hope everything is back to normal after you went back to work!

Woodcliff, I don't like my gate so cannot recommend what we have, but I like what my friend has at home. It's made by First Year and it's the gate which you can step on a lever to open. Time sure flies, doesn't it!? My babies are almost seven month!

Sameera, I hope you were able to speak with your doctor. Pleaes take it easy if you can. Do you have an older child? I don't recall. If you do, can someone help you out with him/her? I have a toddler and I moved way too much during pregnancy, think. I know how hard it is.

Stefanie, congratulations and welcome! After what we go through, it's only natural to worry about everything. I was that way all the way! My second pregnancy produced my beautiful twins and they were from FET transfer. I was just amazed how tough they were, they were frozen at one point! So, I am sure your beanies are tough little ones, too. You will be amazed what your body can do and what your little beanies can accomplish! Wishing you a smooth pregnancy ahead!

My DH is going to go out of town for 4 days again from tomorrow. A lady I see at a park asked me the other day, how do I take care of three little kids by myself and I just replied, I don't know! It's a lot of work, but I am having a lot of fun at the same time!

ANyway, Noah's starting to complain.

Hi everyone, we just found out that we are in fact having twins :D
At first one embie wasn't seen, just a sac and yolk but 12 days later
I'm at 8 weeks 0 days and they both have heart beats.
Although baby b is still lagging behind..why is this? I was thinking that
it's because one implanted a week later? We transfered 2 5 day blasts but maybe one blast was ahead of the other?
Will baby b catch up? Has anyone experienced this and had their baby
catch up with the other? Please ease my mind.
And good luck to you all and I expect to be here for another 6/7
months :D

Well, tonight I have to stay in the hospital to "nest" with Brooke and then tomorrow afternoon she will get to come home!! So no more sleep for me! So I get to see how "mommy" I can be! Mackenzie still has awhile there.

Mackenzie is almost off her oxygen!! She really does not need it anymore except when she eats. Little thing does not have the suck, swallow, breathe thing down. She just does not breathe! Too hungry to worry about it lol. She will eventually work it out though. It just makes me happy that she has her breathing under control now and does not need anything. So hopefully here in a few days they will be able to take her off of it totally even during feeds. She is 5lbs 2 oz now; finally slowed down on gaining because they took her IV out. Brooke is 4lbs 8 oz. They are both eating about 2oz now!! They are my little chuggers! Hopefully Mackenzie passes her hearing test today...we shall see!!

So now I have to protect Brooke from germs the best I can because they again scared the crap out of me when they talked about the RSV virus. So people who come over will get the 20 questions from me! No sniffles, no sneezing, no coughing, no kids, etc. And there will be a hand sanitation area lol.

Okay, so I went for my check up i am 24weeks and she checked my cervix and said it's closed BUT it's thinning!!!

whatever the heck that means i mean really i was just shocked i was just listening but as if i wasn't listening.. i dunno zoned out!!

she put me on Procardia 10mg wants me to take it every 6 hours and she wants me to go on Maternity leave NOW!! I dunno what to think of it :(

she said if contractions are 4-5 an hour and even 15mins apart then go to L&D right away - we don't wanna take chances.

So now i guess this is pre-term scare that everyone talks about..

but yeah seriously today was the most horrible day - I literally had a break down after I got home and cried and cried because i am so overwhelmed with everything and especially work is stressing the crap out of me.

I have my u/s and another check up in 2 weeks - i don't know how I can go on maternity leave already even if i am not due till december!!!!

maybe she is talking about Short Term Disability i dunno i am so confuse and stressed ugh!!!

do you guys think I should work this whole month and maybe get STD by october??? i dunno i need some advice??

Sameera--I'm sorry about your appointment, but I don't think your doctor was even hinting around...you need to stay home! You are obviously experiencing early labor, which is not good. YOu need to rest, sweetie. Call your employer tomorrow and see how they want you to handle it. I'm assuming you'll have to go on some sort of disability for a while, but you NEED to...just ask suga.

Please take care of yourself sweetie. YOur babies need to stay in a LOT LONGER....

Keep us posted.

Had to take a few minutes to say hello! HELLO!!!!
Well, my babies had their one year check up! YIKES! One year, ! Here are our stats: Bodie 17lbs. 10 ozs. and 29" tall. He's no where near a chart except in height (23%) but he's perfect in every way. Annelise is 19lbs 8 ozs. and 28.5" tall. That puts her at 22% for weight and 45% for height. WOW!!! Big strides for her. She is a little dancer lately and has been keeping us super busy!

Speaking of Dancing. . . . .Kim!   That video kills me!!!! Braeden's booty shake at the end is so flippn' funny I have had to show it to all my friends. I just love it! How is Ellie? She still look like a prize fighter? Poor little girl! Hope she's on the mend!

Sameera~ I'm with Kim! Home is for you for sure. I know it sounds like a long time but it does go by so fast and there is no way to get this precious time of growing those babies back. Let us know how it goes. I am thinking of you for sure. I had TONS of contractions myself and ended up and hospital bedrest and still delivered 6 weeks early. Good luck!

Sugabeanzs~ How is it going???? I'm super happy for you! Brooke will be home soon as well and then the real fun starts! Let us know how you are when you get a minute. I'm glad the girls are doing so well.

ndgo82~ Congrasts on twins! My twins were off at the beginning as well by 5 days but eventually they were pretty equal. It's hard to relize so soon but they are still two different people already and I'm sure they will get closer the older they get. That's what mine did! So glad to have you here with us and we only let you stay of you promise to post new baby pics as soon as they are born! :D

Kimi~ How's life w/o dh? I'm sure you're getting more use to it all the time. Always sounds like you are getting more and more mobile with all three. Speaking of. . . .will there be a fourth???? AF visiting yet? Now I'm so curious!

Woodcliff~ 5 months!!!! Holy Cow! Seems like they were jsut born???? how does this happen? Glad to hear life is going so well and less chaotic. We keep it crazy here so I don't focus on things that really are less important now like dusting! I use to be OCD about being clean but have found some balance now thanks to the babies. When you ask how do I do it. . . .well, thanks but really we just don't think about it. At all! When we get the chance to do things we jsut figure if it doesn't work out we will come home. Next month we are taking a 2 week vacation to CA and we are driving so that should be interesting!
Glad you had a great time with your family. I bet the babies loved being loved on so much! Pics for sure!!!! :D

Stefanie~ Congrats and glad to have you here! Just take care of yourself, listen to your body and enjoy this special time.

Better run before I type away the entire nap time!
Have a great day mommies!

sameera: ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Let me be the one to yell at you! lol (in a kind way of course) Remember me?!?! That is what happened with me and that is the exact drug they put me on. STAY HOME!!! Stay off your feet! That is what was happening to me, I was still closed but thinning out. Pretty soon I was starting to open up thus delivered at 30 weeks! No more NICU babies, stay home, stop working. No joke. That is what I had to do. It sucked and I was a horrible bed rest person but I had to make myself do it. So please stay home!! Doctors do not kid around about this stuff from what I know of doctors.

I get to pick up Brooke in a few hours!! I spent the night with her last night and maybe got 2 hours of sleeP?? Every move she made I had to look at her and every sound...gosh. I hope that goes away or I will never sleep!!

suga--wanted to wish you lots of luck tonight! You probably won't sleep much, but that's normal....you'll get used to hearing all the little sounds they make at night! Here's hoping that Mackenzie gets to come home very soon.

Sameera--you better be home, lying on your back, girl!  We're gonna keep badgering you until you take it easy.....keep us posted, please! :)

Kholtan--Great stats! Bodie is a lightweight isn't he? No worries.....sounds like he's doing great. Any walking yet? If not, enjoy it while it lasts!!! Yeah, the video is a fave of mine! They just love to dance....Ellie's doing better...healing up nicely. But, she's a bruiser and busted my lip today! :? I was bending down to kiss her head and she jumped up----OW!

Good luck Suga. You will be short of sleep but this amazing strength of a mother will carry you through!

Kimberly, we are doing pretty well. I think it's partly because I relaxed more and not little things bother me. Sounds like Bodie and Annelise had a good appointment. Toddlerhood is a lot of fun, they will just become cuter and cuter. The time between one and two just flew by so fast for us (for Sean) so enjoy every moment!

Sameera, I am so sorry you are feeling overwhelemed. I don't know what your work situation is, but your babies need you to rest. I hope you were able to speak with your manager.

Off to feed Alyson for the last time tonight. Then, I will finally be able to read in bed and sleep. Long long day!!
