I'm back from blood test and anxiously waiting for the results !! I'm super emotional today and you girls are so sweet, you just make me cry. Thanks for caring sooooo much!
I'm very nervous and I hope I don't disappoint anyone.
Babyloves and Cocos~ Thank you sooo much for your well wishes!! It means a lot to me. And no, I have NOT POAS. I came close but didn't give in.
I hope these tears will soon be replaced by tears of joy!!
to all of you!
I'm so nervous, I can't even think straight! I left the doctor's office without having my parking ticket stamped which usually means that you'd have to pay $12.00 instead of the $1.20 that I usually pay. The guy was really nice and made me pay $2.40 ( I get 1.20 because of where I go in the hospital but everybody else pays 2.40). It was my lucky day. I didn't have $12.00 in cash...what a mess that would have been!
I'll post real soon with the results!
Much love,
Val

Does anyone have the link to the site which you can go to all the fertility clinics in your area and see what the success rate is for each clinic?
I am kind of thinking about changing clinics. I just don't feel that my clinic is giving me the attention that I think I need. I have always had a high E2 level when starting my cycles. The other day when I got the call about my BFN I asked the nurse if my E2 level could be causing problems. The nurse said that because of my high E2 level is the reason why I need IVF. I just don't understand why after going to this clinic and trying to do IVF cycles since April that now it is stated that my e2 level is high and this is the reason why I can't conceive. Before it was unexplained infertility. Maybe I just misunderstood the nurse or something. I have read up online about high e2 levels and they said if it did effect fertility then it usually messes with ovulation. Well I don't have a problem with ovulation. I can usually tell you when I will ovulate before taking any of those stupid ovulation tests. I probably have 1 more cycle that will be totally covered under insurance and then if I need another one I will have to pay part of it out of pocket. So I really want to feel that I am getting the best treatment possible.
Thanks,
Chris

Not sure if you knew this...but here it goes
High E2 levels can suppress your FSH level meaningyour FSH level can be much higher than it says through a blood test. High E2 levels can mask a undelying problem such as High FSH. I have a high E2...thats how I know.
have you done any chinese medicine? I know people have had success getting their levels right w/ diet, and herbs, and acupuncture. It usually takes a couple of months, but can be worth it. I don't know if it works the same w/ E2 as it does with FSH but it might be worth exploring. I am wishing you the best
You are being proactive and in control and ultimately that is the best thing I learned in all of this. It got me to find the right clinic and right treatment for myself ... I went through 2 ob/gyns 3 chinese docs, and two REs.... the ones I finally settled on were really right for me, and I also learned that this is my body and my path and I can call the shots.
wishing you the very best. I'm so proud of everyone on this site for their strength and courage and positive vibes.
To have fun -- I would switch clinics! They should have given you more information, not just telling you now your E2 is the cause. They should find out why and try to correct it. Not an expert here, but I know they wont even start a round with a high E2 as it can mess up quality! Not sure you financial situation, but ask Ghost for recs near you and go to the best clinic you can afford and demand answers!
As for me, my two embryos are 4 and 2 cells today. My transfer is tomorrow day 3. I am so hoping for two 6-8 cells embies tomorrow!

Thanks ladies for replying. I am at work and defiantly not getting anything done because I am researching all this stuff.
Lynniecat -Good luck on your transfer!!!!
For the research that I have done, usually clinics like to see a E2 level no higher then an 80 to start a cycle. Well the first cycle I did my e2 level was 80 and the last cycle I did my E2 level was and 81, so right on the boarder. I don't know how high your E2 level has to be before they believe it starts to effect the FSH level. As far as I know I have never had a problem with my FSH level being too high or too low.
Stefanie - Thanks for the link. It turns out that the clinic I am going to has the best stats on SART. My clinic was the first in the area to start doing IVF so I don't know if going to another clinic will be the answer. I am going to do some more checking with IVF AP's in my area. I did a little searching at the beginning of my last cycle and couldn't find much.
TooBee - If you don't mind me asking, what was your E2 level at the beginning of your cycle?
If I do end up staying at this clinic I am just going to have to make sure I ask the right questions and get answers. I have also done some checking and it does seem that losing weight could help E2 levels. So I am going to watch what I eat, and no more alcoholic beverages. Will also try and work out so maybe I can lose a few pounds and see if that will have an effect on my levels in October.
Thanks everyone for your support.
