Is it possible to get a BFN on a home pregnancy test at 8dp5dt and still get a BFP on your Beta?

Ghost...one more question...if I do get a BFn on my beta, can I start a FET cycle right away. I have two frozen blasts?

It's possible. There was one poster here who said she got all negatives on the HPTs right up to the day of her blood test, then got a positive on the blood test.

We do that at my clinic. Heck, we plan them that way. But many patients prefer to wait a while.

Thanks Ghost for the quick response.

My beta is tomorrow but I don't think I will get my hopes up. I think I will look forward to a FET ASAP.

Do you have to take any meds for that? What is the typical protocol?

FET protocols vary a bit, but they require much less medication than a stimulated cycle.

Sometimes Lupron (or equivalent) is used in an FET cycle, sometimes not. Some clinics do "natural cycle" FET, where they try to promote ovulation and use the resulting corpus luteum to try to sustain the pregnancy. They might even give a shot of hCG to induce ovulation at the proper time.

For most FET cycles, there will be progesterone and estradiol supplements.
