soooo ... 1st HPT was BFP, and since the darn things come in boxes of 3, I quickly rained on my own parade and got 2 BFN's in the following days. I had mt beta yesterday, and the RE said it was (+) BUT the levels werent as high as he would expect

soooooooooooo, what does this mean?

it means you have a BFP! Congratulations-

keep positive! you will have another beta in a day or 2- and hopefully it will double

don't worry about the HPTs they are evil-

All anyone can say is wait and see what the numbers come back for the next one.

Your initial number is very low, so could indicate that things didn't work out. But it could also mean that you just didn't get pregnant when they thought you did.

So prepare in case of the worst, but definitely hope for the best.

Hi there, Denise is right, the first number is important to some extent...meaning the number has to be at least 7 to be considered BFP, but the 2nd and 3rd numbers are what indicate growth. The docs want to see it double in about 48 hours. My clinic actually said they want to see the number get bigger by 66%. I was in the same boat as you and had a very small 1st beta # and freaked. My next two #'s doubled so I was much more at ease...or at least as much as you can be before you actually have an US. So try to hang in there till you get the next numbers. Just try to enjoy the fact that you are indeed pregnant!

diabolicafemmia: Your number doubled nicely. That's a good sign. It's still on the low end but you should be hopeful at this point. So many people tell you not to worry about numbers until you have an U/S and that's really what matters. Good luck and keep us posted.

like I said, u/s is fri afternoon and I guess that'll be the deal breaker? I keep testing, and it keep coming up roses, maybe I cant cant believe it's real yet?

well the u/s was a bust? I guess this wasnt to verify pregnacy, because its too early, but rather to rule out ectopic. they did more bloodwork and I have to wait until monday...its gonna be a looooooooooooooong weekend
