Sameera,
Im with the girls!!! I know how difficult it is to imagine that you need to be home and resting at 24 weeks but watch a few episodes of Birth Day with the preemies and it will scare you into it! And take Suga's informed advice!!!
I am only a few weeks ahead of you and I am on partial bed rest. It is so hard to be lying down when you are not "sick" but it is SO neccessary when you have two babies you need to keep in there. Esp if there has been ANY cervical changes!!!! Dont take your Dr's advice lightly. I know it is so difficult!!! How is your hubby feeling about all of this? Is he understanding and supportive??
Thinking about you!!!
Sorry for the lecture!
Sara
Hi everyone - Ok I have a question for all the twin mommies out there. I need some advise and info on double strollers. I went and registered this past weekend and looked at the larger Greco Duo Quatro??
Anyways its very heavy and the reviews are not that great but I have no idea and I am not sure which others to look at. I would love to hear from you
Oh and I almost forgot.!!!!!!! Dh and I found out Monday that its twin boys! I am definitly in for it now.
I have great news!!!! Annelise has decided that she is a nursing baby again! WHOOOHOO!!! Just as I was geting use to the idea that only one baby would still be nursing Anna Banana brought her a-game yesterday and today and is back on track! I know I should think about weaning them soon but after 18 months I'll kick em' out! Until then. . . !
Genessa~ Congrats on twin boys! What fun! If Lauralou were still here she would be telling you just how great it really is! BTW, I miss her! AS for strollers, I had the snap-n-go with my Britax car seats and LOVED it! The babies can face any direction and look at each other as well. Now I have a BOB jogger than I do NOT leave home without. It was worth EVERY penny and even my nice MacClaren stroller sits a lot now because there is no comparing any other stroller to it. For the love of Pete it even has shocks!!!!! This seems meaningless until you realize you can lightly bounce your babies to keep them asleep without moving your stroller back and forth. It is a bit big and slightly bulky but I'd strap it to the hood if I had to! Good luck. I am heading to CA next month and have my whole infant set up for sale! Just FYI.
Kimi~ AF????? You are killing me! Your babies are so cute that #4 would be a great addition! How's it going? You are so much more relaxed now and that is coming across in your posts for sure. I'm super happy for you!
Suga~ How's it going?
Better run! Lots of fun planned for the day and we had dinner guests last night so that kitchen needs an overhaul!!!!
Good day!
Kimberly

I am doing well. I have been on out of work rest now for 2 weeks so going a little stir crazy but it has helped because my bp was back down yesterday at the OB. I am just anxiously waiting on my short term disability to get approved. Should hopefully know by next week some time. Umm... I failed my 1 hour diabetes test so took the 3 hour test last Wed and passed that with flying colors so the gestational diabetes is no longer a threat. I have been fighting a head cold this week but other than that, everyone is doing well. Ryan and Emily are kicking everything in sight inside of me, and I mean everything. Their movements are becoming more visible now on the outside. DH always seems to move to the next spot when they kick and misses it. My DSD felt a kick the day of my shower, which was cool, but my poor neice has some calming effect on them and they stop as soon as she touches my belly just like my husband.
It is great to hear everyone's updates. Sorry I have not been on here in a while, just been resting and taking care of baby preparedness. I will address personals later this weekend. Anyways just wanted to drop in real quick and say hi. I am off to take a shower to see if it will clear up my nose.
I have been away for couple days!! well, i am officially on bed rest till whenever my OB says so.. my guess is till i have these babies..
well, wednesday night i end up getting lots of contractions ever 10-15 mins apart and we decided to go to L&D and they monitored me for few hours and my OB decided to keep me overnight in the hospital.
They increased my procardia to 20mg every 4 hours and put me on strict bed rest. My work is now aware and we are in process of STD..
so now you guys will see me read/post like crazy lol..but the good thing is my babies are doing well!!
my dh has been very supportive and he put me on more strict bedrest then my own ob lol - he is really worried about me and the babies so I know why he is doing what he is doing.
I just want to thank you girls for all your support - hope you guys are doing well and taking good care of yourselves..

Genessa, we use Graco Duo Glider and I think it was a good choice for us. It was inexpensive compared to others and it isn't much bigger than single Graco stroller when folded. We opted this because we have a toddler as well. It pushes very smooth and my babies seem to like it. I test drove it at Babiesrus and bougt it online cheaper.
Good luck!
Stephjim, good to hear from you. You are 27 weeks, almost there! I am glad you are feeling more relaxed. I also failed the one hour test but passed the three hour test. It's one more thing to cross off from your worries, I'm sure. Enjoy your quiet time, read good books, start a blog etc... and most of all, relax!
Sameera! Glad you are ok. Sorry you had a scare! It must have been nerve wrecking. Sounds like you are in good hands under your DH's watchful eyes. Hope your STD gets sorted out smoothly.
Kimberly, my AF has not arrived yet and I've been procrastinating taking the stick test. I don't think I am, but I keep noticing some strange symptoms like being very emotional (like crying watching news) and sensiive skin. It could be that I have hormonal imbalance this month. I hope it's not early menopause! Although, honestly I am done having kids and don't want any more AF. Anyway, if I decide to take the test will let you know the result! Saw your pic in Prairie. What a gorgeous place!
My DH came home last night and was glad to have him home. Sean was so excited when Daddy pulled into the drive way on a taxi. He' back to work today so just operating as normal today. Glad it's Friday at least! I intend to sleep in tomorrow morning!!
Anyway, hope everyone's doing well. Suga, hope you are being able to catch some snooze time here and there. It's a lot of work and hope you are feeling ok.

Kimberly and Tolbee---I had to pee on a stick a few days ago....I'm on the pill, but my periods don't really come anymore because of it. Nice in a way.....BUT, I had a few days of non-stop nausea (but didn't get sick), and I had other symptoms. DH ran out and got a test--I think he was petrified! All came out negative, which was fine with me. So, we're back to normal here. I think!
We had our 15 month checkup today. Couldn't get our vaccines because E and B have a cold---arrggghh! Braeden is 32 3/4 inches long (90%) and 21 pounds and 5 oz. (12%---a LIGHTWEIGHT!) Ellie is 24 pounds (75 %) and 31 1/2 inches (75%)....good checkup all around. Yeah!
Sameera: Yay for bed rest! lol. Take it seriously too! It stink though
I am EXHAUSTED and I only have one baby home!!!! It is like I fall asleep just to be woke up because she needs burped or has gas lol. She is still only drinking around 2oz (Brooke). But I am mad that the gas is $5 when nothing has happened yet with the hurricane! UGH

NDGO - Congrats on your twins. That is so exciting.
Sameera - I was wondering how you were doing so I had to check up. So sorry that you had to be put on bedrest but it is the best thing to keep your beans cooking a little longer. Hope the best for you and your little ones.

Ladies, I was just wondering when your twins slept through the night??
ALSO, I have a hard time getting her (Brooke) to sleep during the day and I know she is just EXHAUSTED. Burp her, change her, etc and you can tell she is tired but just does not want to sleep. Then it is hard to feed her cause she is tired!
ALSO (lol) how do you feed two of them during the night!? I am just trying to figure out when I will sleep! I am going to try to feed them at the same time but they are so tiny because they are preemie that a boppy will not work at this time *sigh* just starting to freak out because I know Mackenzie is on her way home soon!

Thanks tohavefun...I'm not feeling good lately.
The more pregnant I am the more the sickness, I don't
throw up but if I don't eat...forget about it..I am so freakin ill.
I also have family issues and am crying alot now, I'm wondering
will I be a better mom to my twins than my mom was to me, and
will I be able to take care of both of them..it's hard, but I wanted this so
bad and now I just have to deal with it

ndgo, congratulations!! You are probably being extra emotional because of the hormons and I think you will feel fine once it balances out. Don't worry! Sorry you are not feeling so well...
Suga, do you swaddle your baby? We swaddled all my newborns tightly and that helped a ton. I bounced them saying "Shhhhhh" close to their ear and they were good to sleep. I sometimes fed mine on carseats. I knelt down in the middle and fed both of them at the same time. But it didn't work so well because they wiggled a lot. So, I reserved it for only when they are screaming for milk at the same time. Oh, but this only works for formula feeding. I think they make a special nursing pillow for tandem feeding the twins if you are breastfeeding.
So, Kim, Kimberly and everyone else,
I took the pregnancy test on Sat because my symptoms were just plain-o-weired. And... I am PREGNANT!! AGAIN!! Well, I haven't seen the doctor yet and won't until the end of Sept, but my two pee stick tests confirmed that I am. My DH and I are in TOTAL SHOCK!! Have you met anyone that has four children (let's hope it's not twins) under the age of three? It's still very early in the pregnancy, so who knows what's going to happen. I am eager to get an ultrasound so we can confirm the heartbeat etc... OH BOY!
So, that's my news everyone. It's pretty crazy!
HOpe all is well!!

Tolbee: woah woah, was this on your own or fertility treatments? I got back on birth control cause I am so scared that some fluke will happen and we will get pregnant on our own too soon lol. Thanks for the advice. I will probably use the car seat thing or a boppy. I really want to keep them together so I can get some sleep. I try to swaddle Brooke but she hates having her arms stuck in there! So I swaddle the lower half and she still wants out lol. But congrats on the pregnancy!!!! Good luck with that many under three lol. I will pray for you!
Ganessa: We also use the Graco duo glider. It is big but whatever. When they get older I will get a side by side that is smaller...when they can support themselves.
Stephjim: I failed the one hour and passed the three. It was just a pain in the butt! lol

KIMI. . . AGHGHGHGH!!!!
I am soooooo excited for you!!!! What an amazing gift!!! I'm sure things are pretty shocking right now but after rounds of IVF and three BEAUTIFUL children this is such a great sign from above (if you believe in that sort of thing and if not it's jsut a great sign in general) that you are meant to be parents and are doing a fabulous job!!!!! My cheeks hurt from smiling already! Can't wait to hear more! When do you go to the Dr.??? CONGRATS!!! Maybe you should move back to Boise so I can get my hands on those little ones!!! I am one of 4 and it's great. Lots of immediate friends, lots of imagination and quadruple the love!!!! I would love to join you but no such luck yet!
ndgo82~ Oh sweet mommy-to-be. . . .I wish I could just give you a great big hug and tell you it's all going to be ok. I know your worries. My own mother wasn't so great and to make a long story short she left us when we were little but NEVER let someone elses bad choices make you not believe in yourself. I love my mother but I also strive to be the kind of mother I want to be no matter what she did or didn't do. My saying I live by is "Never entertain the negative." If I don't spend time thinking of negative things I can focus all my time thinking of positive things and making my life great. You can do it! Being pg and ill will all pass and then you will have your beautiful family before you! HUGS!!!!!
Suga~ My babies have been pretty good sleepers other than a case of severe colic w/ my son at 4 months. I did follow Babywise with a few modifications that fit us better but it worked great! I totally suggest getting one of those books and trying some patters until you find one that works for you. I know that since mine were preemie it took a bit longer and 10lbs was a MAGICAL weight! I breastfed my babies and still do so I can't help with that. Sorry!
Kim~ Great check up!!!! Our babies are so similar! I even think yours remind me of mine. I love that Braeden is so spindley like Bodie. I know one day the boys will be taller and bigger tahn us so it's fun to have such peanuts now.
Have a great day everyone. We just got back from the part and I am spent! Been on the lake all weekend and the house shows it!
