Kit girl,

I am 9dp3dt and also got a BFN when I POAS. I purchased the HPT's online and they read 20 units or over. I know they work because I tested to see when trigger left my system (so I did get + early on from trigger then -'s). I just can NOT bring myself to go in for my Beta on Friday knowing that I will hear just another BFN, so I am not going to go and just wait for AF to show up.

You read on the boards that others get BFN on HPT and then BFP on Beta. Well I am one who finds fault in that because most HPT are very sensitive and can detect the hcg in your system before your Beta. Also I have researched on line two different studies that stated if your Beta is not at least 126 or no lower than 76 12pt or 200 - 14dpt pregnancies ususally ended in miscarriage. Yes there are exceptions but they are few and far between and are NOT the NORM.

I am not trying to sound negative but just to give facts that I have found online also of my last 3 ivf cycles I tested -hpt and BFN on Beta. I personally do not know one person that tested neg on hpt (unless faulty test) and have BFP on Beta.

Sorry to sound so blunt but sometimes those far off stories are just that.

BRENDA!!!!!!

You better go in for that beta!!!! I tested negative on the HPTs till 12 DPO (where you are and got the faintest line and I had twins). Please go for your beta and keep up your PIO! YOu never know. When I got a BFN at 11 DPO, I was devastated, I was even bleeding. I went out and drank 3 glasses of wine! DOH! I still remember how upset I was, then boom a BFP shows up. Don't give up till its over! Stay strong!

Hello Ladies....

Wanted to join you in the 2ww...been lurking for a while in the Aug/Sept forum and finally breaking down and posting...so many questions, so many crazy thoughts!!

The waiting is gonna drive me nuts. I'm currently 4dp3dt and my next doctor's appointments are scheduled for 9/15 and 9/17 (are these my "Betas"? It seems soon and not quite two weeks after ET?). Not having too many symptoms....a little cramping the first two days, boobies are kinda sore but they were already sore prior to ET. The only new affliction is that I am gas-y  (sorry, tmi). I guess I expected to feel a lot more...?

A few questions, please?

-- How soon after ET did you have your first Beta? Is it just a blood test and how quickly did you get your results from the Dr's office?
-- Will you gals please share your symptoms? Early ET symptoms, later symptoms?
-- Anyone heard anything about not drinking cold liquids?
-- Besides the normal healthy foods, has anyone gotten any suggestions on "should eat" foods?
-- When is the earliest I can POAS?

My cat is not understanding why he can no longer knead my belly, step and lay on it! It's so sad to see his confused little face when I push him away -- poor little guy!

Hope that y'all are taking good care of yourselves! Have a wonderful, restful day!

Lynnie is right. If you have a late implanter (day 11 or 8dp3dt) your hCG levels won't be high enough to catch at day 12. Get the beta and don't give up hope! My last BFP I got a VERY faint + line the evening before my beta.

Babymole

I know how hard the 2WW is. This was my third fresh IVF cycle.

Those are most likely your betas. I had mine 10dp5dt and 12dp5dt and got a BFP. Betas were 565 and 995.

I really didn't many symptoms either. I had a little cramping here and there. Some pulling feeling on my sides. I too was very gassy. My boobs hurt a little bit 2 days before the test, not much though. Also two days before the test I felt like i was getting AF. If AF is due 14 days after ER. If you have no spotting on this day it is a very good sign, my RE told me this.

I am now 4w4d pregnant. And I still don't feel much. A little cramping here and there and my boobs aren't that sore the last few days.

Speaking of cats, I told mine he was gonna be a big brother and the last two days he won't come out of the house part of his 5 ft scratching post/house thing. Poor guy.

babymole~ Congrats for making it to the 2ww! I will relate my symptoms. The first few days after transfer (Blasts transfer), I had a lot of pulls and twinges on both sides of my tummy, never had felt anything like that before. I started burping on the second day after transfer, which I never do. My temp went up to 99F or above from 98.1. At times I felt very tired and had to take a nap right then and there. I had itchy boobs that got bigger and would hurt on and off.
About 3 days before beta I started to have AF type cramps more regularly and they keep going every day! My tummy is bloated.
I had my first beta 10 days after transfer or 15 days after ER.
My boobs are getting more painful but it's not constantly.
The burping was a strong sign for me as I do it sooo much (maybe 200 a day!). Strange symptom but it's there, I rather have that than being gassy.

Sounds like you have some good symptoms going on!
My AP suggested to not drink cold liquids.
My cats come and lay down on my tummy. They know to be careful as soon as I put a hand on my belly. They are so cute. Somehow I think they feel something is going on.

Best of luck during your 2ww and tons of sticky baby dust coming your way!
