I am starting an Oct / Nov board. I know there is a Sep/Oct board but I won't begin my cycle till the end of October and will probably ER and ET at the beginning of Nov.
My background, been TTC for over 3 years. Supposedly unexplained infertility but now possibly problem because of high E2 level. I was on clomid for about 8 months with no luck. Had 3 IUI's with clomid, of course nothing. 1st cycle of IVF was canceled and turned into a IUI, BFN. Then 2nd cycle was canceled, finally made it to ER and ET on the 3rd cycle and got a BFN. Next cycle they are mixing my meds a little. Hopefully, better outcome and stim a little longer. Hope to see lots of great ladies join me in my roller coaster ride.

Hey Cocosmomma,
I was hoping you come over here with me so I don't feel so alone. Do you have a date for your FET? I got my schedule today and as it stands for now I will be having ER the week before Thanksgiving. I could have tried to cycle earlier but it was too much of a pain to move around my vacation. I also thought it might be good to get some of the drugs out of my system before starting a cycle again.

I don't know. FETs are much simpler than stimming. Whenever I start my Nov cycle, I start wearing the estrogen patches. I might do Lupron this time though, so I may start sooner. Really, I don't know. I guess I should call and figure it out! LOL.
A FET sounds so much easier then a fresh cycle. I wish I had some frozen guys but no such luck. November seems so far away but I know it will be here in no time. I start BCP's on Oct 8th so after that I know time will go by pretty quickly.
I am having a hard time today. I am so happy for all the ladies that have gotten BFP's but it is really hard sometimes to grasp why I didn't. I know it just wasn't my time. Some of the ladies on the other board put a new ticker on, they are all so cute but just reminds me more that I didn't get my BFP. Then on another IVF site I am on, a lot of the gals are coming back with updates that are around 20 weeks PG. I have been on these boards for too long, maybe I just need to take a break. Well, enough with my whinning mode. Hope you have a good day.
I know it's tough. Our time will come though whether it be in November or not. And I look at it as proof that women can get pregnant when injecting all this crap! LOL! Keep the faith, girl!
Hi Ladies, I hope I can join you. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am 35 and have been trying to get pregnant for just about 4 years. I found out two years ago that I had to have one of my tubes removed and the other was damaged. The doctor said to keep trying and if nothing happened in a year we can proceed with IVF. Well we are ready to roll. My husband and I are off the week after Thanksgiving so the doctor is working around that so we can do ER and ET that week. The nurse told me to call once I got my period in Oct. and she would send me the schedule of meds and call in the prescriptions - I already have the needles and such from my appt with them in July. I am very nervous and excited. I hope to learn alot from you ladies as we go thru this process together and hopefully we all get big fat POSITIVES by the end of the year!!!

Foreverlove -- Welcome to the board. Sorry you have to be here and I hope your stay is short and sweet. I was really nervous starting my first cycle. Seeing all the meds really freaked me out. Now it is just second nature to me. The best advice I can give you is just take it one step at a time and try and not stress out. I have to remind myself of this all the time. We will be really close in our cycle. I should be having ER the week before Thanksgiving. That is keeping my fingers crossed that I won't get canceled again. My RE has changed my protocol again so I hope they haven't changed it too much that it will screw me up. If you have questions don't heasitate to ask. I am sure someone on the board will have an answer, either that or you can post a question for IVF Nurse or Ghost. Both are very knowlegeable.

Well i feel a real fool. I just posted a really long post and sent it to the wrong thread.... Those girls will read it an think WTF?????
Ah well, i'll start again - To have fun Thanks for starting the thread and i know what you mean about the tickers.....
I am currently at the end of AF following failed IVF#1 and i have had to temporarily move out of area because of DH's work, so i am trying to find an RE so i can hopefully start on the bcp's (if i do the same protocol) next AF. My last cycle only produced 3 embies so if i get more i can hopefully get a few good blasts. At my follow up appointment my RE said one embie was perfect, one was good and one ok but had some frag. He also said my lining was perfect, so if i cant get preg with prefect embie & perfect lining - what next???? As i said in my other post on the WRONG THREAD (cant believe i did that!!!) i had a bad feeling about the last cycle and had bad vibes from the start, but this time i fell like it will work so i cant wait to get started!!!!!
YEH KAS - Welcome to the new board. I didn't have a follow up with my RE so I don't even know what they think was wrong with my last cycle. It just didn't work I guess. I am thinking about scheduling an appointment just so I can talk with my RE and get some questions answered. I don't think I will be able to have good PMA with my next cycle if I don't do this.
A lot of RE's state that the first cycle is kind of a test run so hopefully next time you will have more and better quality embryo's to work with. I also only had 3 and I don't think they were the best of quality.
When are you moving? Wishing you the best of luck.

Chris, thanks for the welcome - that is great that you and I will be cycling so close, you can kind of guide me as a I go I just cant wait to start the process. My DH and I decided that this is a one shot deal hopefully we will have some to freeze, but since our insurance doesnt cover IVF we will only be doing one ER. I am trying to stay positive, but I worry that if I am too positive and it doesnt work it will just crush me even more. Right now I am trying to tell myself that we wont be having children, that way it will be even more exciting if it happens.

Foreverlove - It is hard to find the right median of staying positive and being cautious so you can make it through if it doesn't work. I have not been able to find that middle ground. For my last cycle I really tried to stay positive the whole time. Then I POAS and lost all my PMA and never got it back. I am still trying to find it so I can have a positive outlook on my next cycle. I still have a couple months to go before I start stimming so hopefully something will help me by then. I am sure after my BFN wears off a little more, I will be OK. So do you know what your protocol will be? I am going to be on BCP's starting Oct 8, then Oct 24 start Lupron, Nov 5 u/s and b/w and then hopefully Nov 7th, I will start all the stimming drugs. Less then 2 months away. YEH!!!

I did the clomid challenge and they told me they now have the protocol in place. All I remember the nurse telling me was Lupron and two other drugs, one starts with a G, but I dont honestly remember, I was given so much information I was overwhelmed. The nurse said she would send everything to me when the time comes. I am not sure how any of this works to tell you the truth. I was told to call when I get my period in October and then they will call in the medication and figure the dates with me being able to do ER and ET the week after Thanksgiving. The nurse did say that depending on when it comes I may need to be on a suppressant medication longer than normal due to trying to time everything perfectly - not sure what that means though. I am hoping all that have been thru this before can help me to understand some of this stuff.

foreverlove - At the beginning of an IVF cycle they will suppress your system. This way the can have control over what your body. They want your ovaries suppressed enough that they are not producing any follicles on its own and your E2 levels are low. Usually most RE's use BCP's and Lupron before stimming to suppress the system. In your case since you want ER the week of Thanksgiving they might have to have you on BCP's or Lupron a little longer so they can get you in that window for ER. Nothing really big, you just might have to be on BCP's a little longer or have to take a few more shots.
It is really easy to get overwhelmed. Don't be surprised if you freak out when you get the drugs and all the needles. My advice is to just take everything one step at a time. You should do all right then. Also, the shots really arn't that bad. It just takes time to get used to doing them.

Thank you for your words of encouragement - it is so nice to know that I can count on others that are going thru the same thing. I was already given all the needles, alcohol pads, etc. and told to just put it in the closet and they will go over everything with me again when I start. The nurse already taught me how to give the shots, but she said she would do a refresher when I get close. Luckily my sister is a nurse so if I have to I will have her do the shots for me, but I really dont want to tell anyone in my family that we are doing this in case it doesnt work I dont want to have to explain everything over and over again - to say the least I have a huge family. My DH has offered to do the shots for me, but I dont think he will be able to handle giving them to me because he hates to see me in pain.
I am really looking forward to this journey with you. Lets pray for big fat Positives!!! Bring on lots of baby dust to this thread!
