Hello everyone,

Congrats to Fullofhope2- I am so happy for you and your twins. How incredibly exciting. There are so many twins on the thread.

So happy to hear from both Aliymoni and Triss22 - Welcome and so glad you are both doing well.

Well I am pulling up the rear again. My EDD is 4/27 but and you would think I would have had a US by now. Well I am waiting, but not exactly patiently. :) I am officially 7 weeks and will have my first US on Sept. 10th.

SilverAngel679 - So happy for you! What a relief to know your babies are doing well. I love that you got to see them wiggle. :)

Wishing all of you well.

Ladies:
I am so sorry I have been absent. I can't shake the m/s.
Last night I was dry heaving between 1 - 4 am. Back up at 6:30 am for more, and then when I was driving to work around 8:30 I had another bought. I can work, but I am just exhausted.
I leave tomorrow for a meeting and won't be back until Friday. I don't ususally have to travel for work, so wouldn't you know it...right when I am feeling so awful. Wish me luck.
Again, I am sorry I am not up to doing personals.
Baby dust and hugs to all,
Kim

Hi girls,
Congratulations Jennifer and Jenna girl! Glad to hear the good news.

Sorry for the quick post girls, just wondering if anyone's ob or re is sending them for an ultrascreen. My ob is sending me at about 12 weeks, it will be my 3rd ultrasound, and he just said it is the latest in early detection of genetic defects (down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, etc.) I'm not worried, just curious to see what your experiences are like.
Also, when are you guys planning to tell work? I was figuring at the end of my first trimester, which would be the first week in october, but I already feel like some of my colleagues can detect it. Let me know

Hi there,

Well I am happy to report that we saw a strong hb today. We are officially 7 weeks 2 days and the wait has been brutal. Today I was able to really bask in the fact that I have a little one growing inside of me. It was inredibly emotional. I feel a great sense of relief, although it is still early...I am finally able to enjoy this pregnancy!!

So many of us are soon getting released and can proceed on our amazing journey.

Talk with you all soon.

Hi Ladies!

Enfossum - I have been waiting to hear and am so happy for you that you heard a nice strong hb and that you are now reassured that you are indeed very pregnant :D What a wonderful feeling!
I am wondering if you are feeling any more symptoms? I am still feeling the breast soreness and tenderness and an occasional bout of m/s which is usually when I haven't eaten or ate too much. I also have some constipation (sorry TMI) but thats it.
My nurse finally started weaning me off of the prometrium and vivelle so that has been very nice.
I go for my next u/s next Friday and am so eager to again see those little hbs.
So glad to hear that everyone is doing so well!

My update: First OB today at 8w0d. Sadly, we lost the heartbeat of one embryo. DH and I called in sick to work so we could take the day and mourn. They said it will most likely just reabsorb. Trying hard to feel positive about the survivor.

Funny, I am sharing this with all of you before we tell our families and the loved ones who know about the pregnancy. I guess I am not really ready to talk about it, but also don't want to be alone.

Enfossum: Go girl!

Jennagirl: Congratulations!

SilverAngel679; Thank you for your nice thoughts. I had no signs, symptoms or warnings. Just there one day, and then not.

We confirmed it this morning. It probably happened very recently – perhaps in the last 3 days. They say it’s most likely a chromosomal abnormality.

Luckily, the other twin has a strong 170 hb. There’s no “rational” reason to believe that this embryo will be effected so we are trying to be positive. Still, it hurts.

Antoak: I am going to ask my doctor about the “ultrascreen.” We had a genetic counseling session this morning. It was very stressful and we’re not sure what to do. My age based risk of chromosomal issues is 1 in 102. Because of the non-viable twin, the normal first trimester screening would likely not be accurate. The other options (CVS or amnio) carry miscarriage risks.

I have “graduated” from the IVF clinic. But, it is also a research hospital so they are doing a study of other hormones besides HCG and their presence in early pregnancy. So, if I want, I can go there for week 9, 10, 11 and 12 for a blood draw and u/s. I have OB the next OB visit on 9/25.

Hi siouxsie - I am sorry to hear about losing one of you little beans. I said a prayer right after I read your post. I quickly thought about how only one of my embies stuck and the rest didn't...I guess I find it so amazing that we form such an emotional bond and that I felt happy that one made it, but sad because the others didn't even come close. It must be even more difficult sharing more time with both of your little ones. My good friend reminded me that because there is only one that the risks do go down substantially for both you and baby. Thinking of you. :)

Hello Ladies, I have been out of town and haven't had a time to post. Hope everyone is doing well. I have been feeling pretty good until I come to work. I swear I think my job is making me sick.... It is really interesting. Tomorrow is my first OB apt, I will be 8wks3d. I am not sure of what to expect, I am not even sure if they will be doing an ultrasound. For some reason I think I need it for a peacr of mind, then to worry again for 4 more weeks till the next apt. I think once I pass the 12wk mark I will have less concerns, well that is what I am hoping.

I will post tomorrow evening after the apt to tell you how it went...
