hi ladies!!!!!
YAY, I'm going to have a day 5 transfer on Wed, 9/10 too!!!! I'm new to this message board, so hellllooooo!
This is my first IVF, and we just received our fertilization report. Of 15 eggs retrieved on Friday, 10 made it to embryos, 9 were ICSI'd. (we didn't want to do ICSI initially, coz I'm crazy and read one bad report online). Still a little worry.
Anyway.. so my dr scheduled a Wed day 5 transfer.. They said they weren't going to call me again.. is that weird?? That they will just see me on Wed??? How am I supposed to know how our little embryos are doing...lol.. how many make it to Blastocyst.. etc..

Anyone did Assisted Hatching... I gave consent to do it, but now wondering if we really need it???

just wanted to share my story.. I'm very excited and hope it's going to WORK!!!

kerpupples - The ER went okay. They got 15 eggs. Unfortunately, it turns out I have an egg quality issue. So out of those 15 10 died within hours of ICSI (we did ICSI on all). Do have 5 embryos that survived till Friday morning. Hoping and praying that they are actually good enough and not just a little better than the rest. Next fert report is tomorrow...
Meanwhile, I'm have horrible effects of HCG. I'm in excruciating pain with spasms, bloat and inability to do anything without hurting immensely. RE says to ride it out. They did call in some vicodin for me that seems to help a little. Overall, not having a good time :(. I sure hope it works this time. I can't imagine going through this again :(

newtoivfgirl - Congrats on such a great fert report. It is kind of strange that they won't give you reports any more. My clinic does the 1st and 3rd day. And then ET is on the 5th. If my embryos survive and develop nicely, I should have ET on Tuesday. Looks like you, kollegeqtee and lynnie are all having ET's within a day of each other. We'll be PUPO buddies! :)

Buzz - congrats on being PUPO. Put your feet up, girl and let DH take care of you! :)

Wanted to let everyone know, we transferred 2 on Wed!!!! My dr sounded very optimistic and said that the Embryos were really good. However, she didn't give me an official "grade".
Now just keeping my finger crossed! Any ideas what I can do?? What I shouldn't be doing...in order to get pregnant? lol.. I know there's nothing "magical".. just wanted to ask...

I wanted to bump this thread up. I get little to no response on the Aug/Sept thread so I'm off that one. I guess you had to be there from the beginning or have a BFP already.

kollegeqtee - if you happen to check in, good luck!!!!

new2ivfgirl - Congrats on your Wed. transfer! I'm not sure there's much you can really "do", I think it's up to the embies now. Some people here eat pineapple core. Your doctor should have given you a list of "don'ts" (i.e. heavy lifting, orgasms, hot tubs etc.).

As for me, I POAS this morning. It was weird...I checked about 3 minutes after, no line. Then I checked back about 20 minutes later and there was a VERY faint line. I'm worried I waited too long and maybe got a false + so I guess we'll see tomorrow.

kerpuppies...that sounds promising. It could be an evap line or it could be the beginning of your BFP. Hoping the latter!

lynniecat - I read about evap lines. I don't think that's what this is because there was definitely a small hint of pink and not grey as the evap lines are described to be. I've been tempted to test again today but will wait until tomorrow. How's your 2ww so far?

newtoivfgirl - I had a 3dt on 9/3 so I'm 9dp3dt. I'd say you have at least 3-4 days before POAS would give an accurate result. I hear you on the not drinking. We're supposed to meet some friends out tomorrow night. I think I'll say I'm on antibiotics.
