Cancelled Cycle-Help no period yet any advice?

Hi Ladies

Any of you who have gone through a cancelled cycle how long did you wait before your period started. My cycle was cancelled on 5th August (day before EC due to poor response) and to this day i still havent gotten one, i did get some light spotting about 2 weeks ago but that was it. My clinic didnt give me anything to bring on ovulation they just told me to stop all medication and made a date for review which is on 6th Oct. Maybe my body is just gone into shock cos of the abrupt end to the cycle I dont know but im totally freaking out at this stage. I did a pregnancy test the other day and its negative so thats ruled out unfortunately - i was just living in hope on that one!

God its mad to think im desperate for a period to start when most of the time i dread it! I just want to feel normal again so i can start looking to a future IVF attempt. I feel like im at a stand still at the moment!

My canceled cycles always results in a period within a reasonable amount of time... and I have been through plenty. The spotting may have been the only sign of a period that you got based on your lining thickness... just a thought. I also think there is a medication they can give you to make you get your period but I am not sure what that is.. I have never had it. You may want to contact the doctor. There is no sense in you going crazy if they can give you some information to make you feel more comfortable. What is EC? Are you supposed to contact them as soon as you get your period to prepare for the start of a new cycle.. or are you supposed to wait until your appt. on October 6th.

Not your exact situation, but it may help. After an unsuccessful IVF, once I stopped my progesterone I got my period withing 2 days. So, of course I expected my next cycle to come on time. Not the case...that cycle I was more than 2 weeks late and I was going nuts. I felt like my body just stopped working.

I eventually spoke to a nurse at my clinic who said this was normal...I guess sort of a reaction to the meds. So...I think it's normal for our cycles to get a little wacky. It's still not fun though. One month we pray that it won't come and the next month we pray that it will...it just stinks!

I would call your RE and have them give you the drug to bring on AF. Sorry I don't remember what it is called. My RE was going to give it to me right before my last cycle but AF ended up coming the next day.
