I am going into my 5th IVF Cycle. The last cycle I was at CRMI and used a Clomid Follistim menopure and ganarelix protocol.
We retrieved 8 eggs 7 fertilised. We transferred 4 two 8 cell a 9 cell and a 10 cell. The embryos were grade one. The 3 we did not transfer did not make iit to freeze and i got a BFN..
My FSH last month was th highest it has ever been at 13.2 so i feel like i am running out of time.
CRMI thinks i should try the same protocol again.
I am currently day 28 of my cycle and so if i go with cornell i start again day 2 which could be as early as Sunday.
I have been to two other sets of Drs .. one diagnosed me with borderline abnormal killer cells (level was 9.7 and abnormal is above 10) and says that I will not get pregnant without IVIG. The cycle with that clinic would start at the end of October. If i dont cycle with them in October my next chance would be January.
I also have another Dr i have interviewed who wanted me on DHEA for two months before doing a cycle. I have been taking it. They also look at immunlogoacl testing but dont look at killer cells.
Anyway it is clear i have to make a decision at least about CRMI ASAP and i dont know what to do
Appreciate any input you ladies have
Me 43 dh 65
6 cycles 3 chemicals
13+ banking cycles. 2 failed transfers to Surro
12/9 transfer 2 hatching blasts to surro beta 12/ 15
I am not sure what IVIG is... so I can't give you a good answer. BUT, I am very interested in the DHEA and I have a dr. appt. today where I plan to ask my dr. about it. I have a feeling that he is going to brush it off because it isn't "proven". How long have you been taking the DHEA? Have you noticed any side effects? Have you seen any positive changes?

I voted for the ivig given this result - it seems like you've had good response / good embies, perhaps this is the real reason you've not gotten pg. I would definitely not do a 5th cycle with the same protocol. HTH and best of luck to you!
NY4th - I don't know too much about killer cells, but my quick review on the internet found
Amplified levels of NK cells can prevent an embryo from implanting
I would say that if you are close, borderline, that I would wait the month and do a cycle with that RE with the IVIg - unless there is a chance it could hurt you. I haven't read that part.
Statistics can be difficult to understand, however. We don't know if your 0.3 lower than the >10 limit is cause for concern or if that is normal. I bet the 10 is conservative, too. However, what can it hurt to try. One month is not going to change your potential for success.
In the end, it may just be you haven't gotten a lucky embryo yet. Did you get PGD done on your embryos?
