what is dd & ds

i new here & i dont know alot of these abbr. what does that mean dd & ds...i figured out the dh i guess means the person husband or am i wrong on that let me know so if i post a comment i know what i am writing

dd= dear daughter
ds= dear son
dh= dear husband

Dh- darling husband
DD- darling daughter
DS- darling son.
