exercise the day of your transfer? (ghost, anyone?)

Post by jenny34 »

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow is my transfer for my second FET. Since I didn't stim this cycle, do you think it would be OK to go for a run before the transfer?

I run a few times a week, just a few miles, it's part of my routine. I am asking because I know it would really relax me.

Obviously, I won't in the 2WW, but just wondering about short run (2.5miles) a few hours before transfer.
Thanks in advance!

I don't know of any problem with mild exercise, but it's up to your doctor.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

My doctor told me about one of his patients who asked if the DR would hurry up with her transfer procedure because she needed to get to the golf course for a round of golf (generally, all patients at the clinic I used are expected to be on bed rest for 2 days after the transfer). The patient went on to have a successful pregnancy. So, I'm guessing going for a run before the procedure wouldn't be a bad thing.

Good luck with your transfer!

I am not a Dr but i have read many places it is not good for fertility. I am highly athletic and have cut down my regimen severely while trying to concieve.. You release endorphins and stimulate other hormones when you run and I just dont know whether thats good.. i knw how you are feeling it is killing me not to exercise but you woulnt want to question yourself later if you get a BFN.. just my opinion..

My understanding is that anything that is going to divert blood from your uterus and reproductive organs is not a good idea. Even my acupuncturist, who is an MD from China, told me not to run.

My doctoer told me no more weight lifting or running. I can walk. I am not permitted to get my heart above 140 bpm. I was a runner prior to my IVF cycle, so I am pretty well conditioned, but losing it quickly. I can still get out of breath on a hilly neighborhood walk and my heart rate doesn't get much above 130. I am still planning on taking it easy.

Don't know if I will have a BFP or not. Test is tomorrow.

Howdy

Good luck with your transfer! I figured that a run would actually get my circulation going - which had to be a good thing - so on two transfers I actually went for a short run both times - and got a successful implantation on both those occasions. The two times I didn't do any excersize - I got BFN's. Probably a total coincidence - how knows!!

All the best keep us posted!
