Got Any Funky Cravings?

Post by SilverAngel679 »

hey everyone. I was a little put down becuase i have no cravings yet. My last pregnancy all I wanted was Pasta! Pasta! Pasta! But this time around so far there is nothing that I am just DYING to have.
But I was inspired by this post I read (not sure who posted it) that she wanted orange segments with garlic salt. So I thought I'd start a fun thread where we can all prouldy hold our heads up high and share our want of Hersey Bar dipped in mayonaise or tomatoes covered in peanut butter. I'll let you know when I get some, till then I look forward to reading your. Happy posting girls!!!

Hi there!
The garlic on oranges was me... and it doesnt stop there. :)
I LOVE sliced strawberries with honey poured on them... it seems fruit is my savior in the=is pregnancy with twins...
I also am loving foods that I used to hate.. I mean, I havent had milk since I was an infant... now I chug it out of the carton... (real ladylike )
Looking forward to hearing others cravings...

I can't get enough of pasta! Everyday for my morning snack I eat Ramen noodles and eat mac & cheese for my afternoon snack. I can't get enough of those 2 things. This is so funny to me. I wander if it will change when I get farther along?? Also I love greek salad with tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and red peppers with Italian dressing. I liked these things before I was pregnant but now I will pass up cookies or brownies and eat this stuff. I love pregnancy minus the feeling bad!!!

For me it has been Olive Garden salad. If they sold that dressing I would propbably drink it! LOL My dh is so tired of going there....now he just orders a party size order of salad so I can eat it for days!

They sell it at Olive Garden :). Next time you are there ask your waitress. If anyone liked the dessert Choc Lasagna they have that now too. You can't buy one slice, but they do sell it in a little cake. (6 pieces.)

Dang, now I want a been buritto!!!

I'm a little disappointed that I don't have any cravings. I thought I would :)

However, I am having smell aversion. My DH keeps eating these sour apple suckers and I can't stand the smell of them.

The smell thing never goes away until right after you deliver, it does however not seems so bad s time marches on. My cravings didn't start until about 16 weeks so hang in there...they are yet to come!

I haven't had any crazy cravings, BUT I've had those crazy moments when I want THAT ONE THING now, now, now...who cares what time it is...I WANT IT! the other day I wanted a tuna sandwich from Subway (it couldn't be any other restaurant) with lettuce and pickles...well, we just moved to this state so we didn't know where the Subway restaurants were...we literally went around the city for about 30+ minutes until we found one. I was so cranky and blaming dh for not finding it...poor guy!

Pasta, by the way is my best friend right now, I could eat it everyday...seriously! :D and toast with cream cheese.

one thing that used to love that I can't even look at now without getting nauseous is chicken...yack! I can't even look at those commercials where they promote the chicken sandwiches

I can also relate to the smell thing...For example, I couldn't stand the smell of my own deorodant, I had to change brands :(

This is a very interesting thread, I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the aversions and cravings!!

I will add mine too.

I hate the smell and of course taste of GARLIC. I have this big aversion for boiled corn, I also can't stand its smell.

I crave for curry noodles and mom's made food(she is nt with me!! :()

I still haven't had any cravings except a slight need for steak at least once a week.
I can totally relate to the whole "I need this NOW!!" thing. A few days ago I NEEDED a philly cheese steak bakery stick from 711. My poor sweetie got out of bed at midnight to go get it for me, it was all very cleche.
And the aversions? I've got a VERY weird one for that, when my husband comes home from work I can't bear for him to come too close to me right away because I can smell the outside on him.
I don't mean bad odors from outside, the only way that I could describe it is that he smells like the wind and the sunshine and I can't bear it. Isn't that the craziest thing? It's the same with my daughter when she comes home from school.
