Hi Folks,

My FET has gone on for so long now, I think I am probably a February cycle buddy!!!!!!!
I started injecting Buserelin on 16th Jan, but blood tests have come back too high so they told me to carry on for another week and 2nd blood test came back the same, they reckon I've grown cysts (same thing happened 1st ICSI ) I've had to wait another week and now have to fly down to the hospital for a scan to see if they are still there, if so, I will go for a cyst aspiration......can't wait!
If it's anything like the egg recovery I'm dreading it (it was 10 times worse than my labour)
So Im over 2 weeks behind
Anyone else had cysts with Buserelin?
Good luck to all the other FCB's

Hello Scorry

I had a cyst but on Puregon during my 1st IVF and had to have it aspirated. It was nothing compared to egg collection. I jumped when they pierced the cyst but apart from that I don't rememer anything. The hospital said that if I got cysts again in my next treatments they would just leave them until EC as they only fill up again straight away. Would yours not do that? I suppose it depends on how big they get.

Good luck with it all.

Love Dagny xx

hi scorry, it must be very disappointing to have your treatment put back
it was the same for me on my first icsi treatment, i did not do
the 21day protocol where u take the pill followed by injecting buserelin,
and i developed a cycst which i had to have aspirated before
continuing treatment, have to say it wasnt that bad the hardest bit
is having to keep your bottom still when they prick the cycst with the
needle, your immediate reaction is to move back, but honestly its
nothing to worry about.
on my next attempts i did the 21 day protocol which i was told would
help prevent cycsts, although on my last attempt i did develope a cyst
but it was not that large so they were not concerned and have left it.
its very easy to say be patient but it will get sorted and we will look
forward to seeing your posts on how your folicules are doing !!!!!!!
good luck and take care

Hi everyone

Sorry to have been neglecting you but I'm trying to do a 2000 word essay :? for my open university course. I'm sure all these drugs make a difference to your concentration span.

Loopy glad you've started your menopur, just two days behind me, i'm sure we were just about exactly the same dates last time.

Looks like most of us are running late, will anyone be ready to test this month now?

Speak to you all soon

Hey Girls,
Like Wendy, I feel I've been a bit neglectful, life is always full!
I had my first blood test today for natural FET, I'm day televe today and usually ovulate on day 21, so will be a late in the month FCB gal like a few of us. My doctor wants me to go back Friday for more bloods, so I feel like things are actually happening now which is wonderful!
Deb, am keen to know where in NSW you were?, I grew up in Woy Woy on the NSW Central Coast, is a gorgeous place and about an hour on the train to Sydney, made getting to uni a breeze!
Loopy, sorry can't help on the drug question, the Australian drugs seem to have different names, I'm not really sure what the equivalent is you're currently on, so not much help. When in doubt, ring the clinic I say!
Wendy, still wondering what Bertie boots are?
Take care all
Lots and Lots of PMA to all of us fantastic cycle buddies

Hi everyone

Loopy, did you have your period when you started the menopur? Are you still taking buserlin as well? Have you phoned your clinic? My clinic measure your lining before they let you start menopur injections to ensure its thin, did you have this?

Bel, Bertie boots are just boots really, Bertie a make of shoe that I have become a bit addicted to but they are not easy to get up here in Scotland, only one shop in Edinburgh stocks a limited range but there is a whole shop in London. Their shoes are fab and not too expensive. I just over excited about all shoes really but especially these ones.

Need to return to my essay, which needs to be posted in the morning. Also got a scan and blood test tomorrow to check and see how I'm getting on with my menopur.

Speak to you all later

Hi everyone, hope you’re all feeling good.
:D
I’m still injecting menopur and buserlin, I don’t know about anyone else but my thighs are really bruised and I’m running out of space which is amazing given the size of my thighs! I’ve been told the bruising is linked to taking aspirin. I was hoping for e/c at the beginning of this week but my follies are growing slowly so if I’m lucky it might be the end of the week but it might even be next week so I won’t be testing until the beginning of march.
I’m looking forward to the e/c in some ways but I’m hoping it won’t be too painful, at least I’ll be getting painkillers. :D :D

Loopy, I started buserlin then had af but they wouldn’t let me start the menopur until after af had arrived, it’s probably best to phone your clinic and let them know, did you get af before the menopur as well?

Hi all,
Hope you are all OK. There's quite a few of us now aren't there. We all seem to be in the swing of it now .... nearer and nearer to ec.
Dizzy - I've just started baby aspirin and am bruising form the injections. This is my first cycle and I can't belive how brave I am about the injections. I am injecting myself now rather than dp. Mind you I messed one up yesterday when I was drawing it up and had to throw it away (that was a waste of £50.00!).
Well, this was only a brief visit. Just quickly nipped in to see how you all are.
Wendy - hope you get the essay done.
best of luck to you all.
From Sophie-Jane.

hello girls, sorry for not replying yesterday, but i rang the clinic and the doctor said that all is fine as when i had my scan on thurs she said the lining was arond 4-5 which was thin enough but they did a blood test to check my hormones which was fine so they said to carry on treatment as normal.she said af will fade once the menopur kicks in.so everythings ok,im back for a scan follie check on mon and wed next week then all being well ec fri.
i had 27 follies last time, i was really bloated they thought i might get ohss so i had to keep having blood taken afterwards.but thankfully it didnt get any worse than a swollen tummy,i`m making sure i drink lots of water this time. :o
speak soon. :)

Hi fellow FCB's. I'm feeling a bit 'nothingy', the Progynova tablets don't seem to make me feel any different from normal so this feels just like our natural FET in January. Uterine scan is this Friday so will find out soon if the pills are doing their job.

Bel, it's raining hard and very mild 4 degrees so the perfect weather to talk about my year in Oz. I lived in Sydney and worked in the CBD. I LOVED my time there, dated highly unsuitable Aussie boys, drank far too much wine, sunbathed (a complete no-no usually), took up running and boxing - became obsessed by both, lived in Mosman (sigh) and generally had a damned good year. I travelled all over the country, even Tassie but within NSW, I think the furthest N. was Walcha at Christmas and the furthest W. was Coonabarrabran (sp?) for Easter - both eye opening experiences. You live in a fabulous country.

Keep well and +++++++++++++
Debra.

Hi there, I just wanted to wish all you FCBs the very best of luck. I will keep my fingers crossed for +++++++ results.

It is great to see so many of my OCB friends are at it again. I'm keeping my eye on you all and sending bags of baby dust your way. My clinic made me wait for 3 AFs before I could start again - hopefully the old witch will arrive this weekend and I can start sniffing around 11th March.

lots of love
