How do you go about becoming a surrogate?

I dont know where to post this, but I have a friend who really wants to be a surrogate and is having a hard time finding out where to start. She has searched online and is only finding places in CA. My suggestion to her was to contact the local fertility clinics and see what kind of info they could give her.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?
