esperanza and jenny - Yes I also had them and I am still having that stretchy and bit painful feeling. These are I guess are growing pains...and are a relief when I am having no nausea at all. And at time I feel completely normal with slight heaviness in the belly area.

mafalda - I forgot to mention that I have also been prescribed iron+folic supplements and my doc especially mentioned to take it after my lunch and I am having normal bowel movements. Try this out, may be it will help.

Babyloves - I am so sorry that yoy have to go through bad cold headache, i can just imagine how would you be feeling!! And on top of that 10 hours of lecture...thats so cruel!! Making docs has never been easy. Take care and drink lots of lukewarm water with honey.

Hugs to all.

hi ladies..
sonu: thanks for checking on me, i'm back at home now and have the privelege of a nap whenever i want which helps psychologically too! Just wondering why ur doc told you to take it easy...hope all is well with you
grow sonu's angel grow!
esperanza: yes, i too have weird pains here and there, sometimes crampy like pains which are unnerving...i think its all the growing baby and uterus...our bodies are going thru so much right now - but i definitely feel so good now when i see other pg women like i'm part of a special club or something
alreadyblessed: sorry about ur m/s...my appetite is so-so, but like you i haven't gained much weight either...i think it will catch up in the 2nd trimester
jennywit: seems like you too are around 11wk/12 wk...glad ur back on the post!
annie: i think u'll like maternity pants...there really so comfy. i have extremely large breasts too! DH loves it :) i've heard that the cup size goes up by 1 in pg...think i'll have to get a maternity bra as well
mafalda:glad to hear about ur excellent NT scan, and congrats a little baby girl! i love to see the babies move...its surreal!
literaz: hope ur NT scan goes well...i actually can't wait to know the sexes as the name game depends on it...we actually don't have any good boy names at this stage...so we'll think harder if we have a boy in there...i think you also have multiples right - trips i think? that must look pretty cool on a u/s :)

Healthy babies for all the march mommies! ok, if i missed anyone...sorry about that...have a great night!

babyloves - I have posterior placenta @ 12 weeks which means baby was lying low at that time...but i read almost all IVF pregnancies have this problem. Because my bedroom is on the first floor, it makes all the more difficult for me to move around. he has told me to use the stairs when its absolutely necessary. I guess my doc is just making it safe for me...I am with him from the beginning of treatment. But I tell you, its so boring to be like this. I am just waiting for the green signal from the doc. I miss my morning and evening walks.

Hugs...and grow babies grow!!!

Hi Ladies,
Wow ! You guys fooled me totally. Since there was so little action during the week earlier so I didn't log in the whole day and now boom so many posts to read. I love to see everybody doing fine. You guys are big support to me as I can share everything with you guys and feel relieved.
Alreadyblessed- It is good that everything is going good for you. Has your dr, talked to you abt vit b6 for m/s as my dr gave it to me. Though it didn't help me much but I have heard it does help if you have a very bad m/s.
Babyloves - I have grown 2 size more than what I was. So all my bras that I had bought for my last pg is getting tight so I have to buy more and I don't know whether I will grow more as it is only the beginning. Thats why I am waiting to buy anything. I hope you feel better from your cold. I had sinus headache and got relieved from tylenol for sinus. With lemon tea with honey and gargling with salt water helped me a lot.
Literatriz- I loved to watch my baby during the NT scan and I know since you have triplets it will be real fun to see so much of action.
Esperanza -. I do have stretching and mild cramps. Sometimes it feel more like gas moving inside. It is not everyday but it surely worries me too. My breast is also leaking sometimes. Anybody has that?
Jennywit- Great to see you again! Good to see everything is going good with you. Hope to see you more.
Mfalda- Wow, Baby girl! Congrats. According to the chinese astrology, I am also supposed to have girl but I don't know as last time it was boy but it was girl. Whatever it is , it will be a blessing and I would be thankful for it.
Sonu- Thanks for the tips and here is my ticker. I didn't know that posterior placenta is common in IVF. I hope you get to go for your walks soon. I know you must be bored sitting at home all the time. I am also mostly staying at home and I think it makes me less tired and I don't feel sleepy at night and so I have to take nap at noon. Even if I don't take a nap, I can't sleep properly at night and just feel crappy the whole day.

Rest is going fine with me. I am growing broad and fat which is totally new for me. I never had such a broad waist and now the tummy is also showing. I love to see myself looking pg and I am planning to start sharing the news with our friends as it is getting hard to hide now.
:)

Hello my dears!

I just got back from class, but I could not go to bed without checking on you first ;)

I was able to put the ticker I wanted, thank you SONU!!!

MAFALDA--did you get your nick after the Argentinian character? It was my favorite growing up! Nice to meet you :) Congrats on the NT scan. A girl?! that's exciting :D DH is SOOOOO hoping we have a girl. We'll see.

AMAZU-- yes, I miss my mom too :( but unfortunately some of the drama was related to my dh, and that was very uncomfortable because I love them both and sometimes I felt in the middle. You say you've become moody? ha! I've been snapping on dh (and on my mom when she was here) for a few weeks now. Most of the time I feel bad afterwards, but then I think "oh, well, it's the baby not me" hehehhehe. My boobies are also getting big, and they still hurt A LOT! I'm gonna have to buy new bras (and panties) in a near future.

BABYLOVES---how are you feeling? are you still having those headaches? Oh Lord, you made me laugh with you analogy of the lecture with eating chicken....ghhhhh!!! hahahahaha! I get you. I'm school right now AND can't stand chicken, this baby doesn't want mama to eat chicken either ;) What test are you taking? Hang in there sister, you will get better.

JENNWIT--Thank you for responding my question. In fact, THANK YOU EVERYONE for responding my question about stretching/cramping. It makes me feel so much better. I sort of thought that it was normal, but after going through so much, that naivite of "happy pregnancy" is gone and every little thing has the potential to become a big deal. We are the same weeks/days pregnant...awesome!

SONU---sorry to hear about the posterior placenta, AND I'm happy your baby is growing strong and that you have the time to take care of yourself. It'll all be worth it at the end.

AMAZU--see, when I first joined this thread you told me it was kind of slow...well, not anymore! :P My breasts are not leaking, although I think I read somewhere that that was normal, right? mine hurt lots though, they are so sensitive. I know what you mean about "not being able to hide it anymore" ...I'm on the same boat, I think that in 2 or 3 more weeks I won't be able to play the fool anymore. We practically haven't told anybody. We are waiting for our appointment at 14 weeks with our midwife to share with folks. I can't wait to do that!

As for me, my morning sickness continue, I actually threw up yesterday, and the day before yesterday...ghhhh...not fun, but I put up with it because of this little precious one inside of me. Hopefully I'll start feeling better now that I'm starting my 12th week.

I think most of us are or will be soon in our 2nd trimester :) it feels like a dream to me!

hi ladies..
sonu: thanks for telling me about ur post placenta...i hope you get some good rest and not get too bored as when the baby comes...you'll have plenty to do :D
esperanza: i'm getting better like you said...i'm taking a medical subspeciality exam...should go well hopefully. What class are u taking...hope the m/s gets better
amazu: yes...i'm getting rounder too...i think if i wear maternity clothes, people can tell i'm pg, but if i just wear big clothes..then i can hide.

its getting cool out there and windy..i went for a nice am walk and felt so refreshed. Alright ladies..hope the rest of you are doing well.. :D

Dear all,
We are getting active or what? I did not loging for a couple of days and had to use some note system to catch up with everyone's updates!
DH and I are a bit anxious about the NT and the genetic counseling apptmts this coming Monday. Thank you all that wished us well. It means a lot to us, and I can't wait to come back and share the news.
Babyloves, congrats on your healthy twins! I use Esperanza's home remedies and it really works. I got a sore throat last week and used hot salty water for "gaggling" (spelling?) and also put some drops in my nose. Not pleasant but effective and cheap. Hope you are feeling better! I laughet at your comments on bras, sleepy lectures and positions for safe sex (any ideas?). DH is still concerned - we will talk to the doctor tomorrow.
Amazu, I also struggle with acid tastes on my mouth (any suggestions on tooth paste? mine tastes like metal after a couple of minutes). My breasts have grown, too. The nipples are darker and in the "do not touch" phase. I know I need to make them tougher to get them ready for lactation but...let's not worry about that for now. My grandmother was native South American. She tought my mom to let the breasts in the sun for some time to make the skin more resistant. It helped me before. As for big boobs...what about going to a good department store and ask for a professional person who does measurements? I am thinking about doing that.
Esperanza, thank you for your comments on conflicts, mood and relatives. I am protecting myself a lot more! I had a conflict with my parents last week and less than one hour later I felt cramps...babies do get the stress through our blood. So, I don't call as frequently as before and feel not so bad about it. I don't snap at DH - he is SO adorable and he is SO delighted with his late fatherhood - but I cry a lot, even watching videoclips or movies.
Hi Alreadyblessed, how are you doing? Is the brownish spotting gone for good now?
Sonu911 (why 911?), I will have my US in two days...sorry you have to wait for 5 more weeks...U/S are so reassuring, aren't they? I felt happy for your husband, sharing the joys with you. Congratulations on your entrance in the healthier, active 2nd semester!
Mafalda, after reading your posts I realized I have to buy maternity clothes and to go over everything piled up in my closet...lots of htings will the thrown away! Sonu911 did get her closet organized, so we need to follow her example! We are having US on the same day, wish you well!
I have noticed that iron supplements messes up with number 2: color, texture, smell...If I don't eat salads or steamed vegetables...constipation time! And if I do...some gremlim diarrhea waits for me after midnight.
What has helped? Easing caloric food late at night and drinking less water after 6 pm. Doctor said it is ok as long as I drink enough during the day. I don't wake up twice to pee as before :)

We do have names for boys: Elija, David, Noah, Benjamin...not many names for girls :) Ideas are wellcome!
I am getting ready to share recipes, but DH just came from work...talk you you later, ladies!
Let's not forget: physical and emotional stress increase riks in pregnancies (scientifically proven). To, have a REST-FULL weekend, everyone!

Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to ALL!!!

Things are as before at my end, only that I am nearing Oct1 and that's when I have my Triple Marker test, to check down's and other neural complications. But thank God, I am at peace and not very anxious as usually my nature is. I am also not thinking about it much. I am sooooo happy that I will be seeing my baby after a month. I read that s/he would be size of a palm by end of this week. :) And that s/he has started accumulating fat around its body. That'll be so cute.

I would recommend ANNE GEDDES wallpapers or posters if you can get hold of...the kids are so adorable and this lady has done tremendous job with photography.

I also would suggest another baby name site which has soooo many names that one gets lost. It is www.birthvillage.com..... I managed myself, and found one name each for a boy and a girl. If I had a provision of finding out the sex of the baby, I still wouldn't have. I love to see the expression on the faces when its the REAL time of birth-that joy is unexplainable. I remember when we were waiting for the news of SIL, we all expected her to have a daughter as she already had a son, but she had a boy again...!!!!

Lit - So glad u r pulling along so well!!! Try taking these iron supplements after your lunch or after your heaviest meal of the day. It may help you. I know 911 sounds very 'strange'. In fact 9 is my birth date and November is the month so its 911...:) All the best for your NT scan, I had it during my last sonography...and it was normal. Just think positive.

Babyloves - I hope to get over post placenta soon, I will know by Wednesday. Talking about maternity clothes I have already outgrown my old clothes. My boobs are just getting bigger day by day...I know it will reach to an embarrassing stage...but i also hope that it comes back to its original size after delivery :)

Esperanza - You are welcome for the ticker information...it really does look very cute. So u also studying medicine?? I know entering into 2nd trimester is like a dream...but then from there u start waiting for another milestone to cover...but nothing like getting over the 'danger time'. Well, having said that you are almost there. My best wishes for the appointment with the midwife. Register if you can the expression and the first words of some of the closest of your relatives or friends to mention in the baby book later-its so much fun...:)

mafalda, jenny, alreadyblessed...hope you guys are also rocking good and are resting well....and as Lit says we have to keep away from any kind of stress for our babies.

Hello my dears!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. DH and I had a good one (except that I just checked my schedule for school work that I need to complete in the next couple of weeks and I'm sort of freaking out!). I took Saturday completely off and socialized a lot :) Also    DH and I finally had the "courage" to make love last night  The doctor had said that we could do it before, but we were being cautious, and were nervous to do anything. In any case, we realized that about 3 months had gone by!! we're both smiling today

SONU-- that's so exciting that you get to see your little one this week. Please let us know how things go as soon as you can! I get so excited to read other folks stories...it gives me hope and feeds my imagination ;) Thank you for the baby's name site. We have loosely talked about it. Nothing set on stone yet. We do want to pick a name that is symbolic and that means something to us, we are not sure what that's going to be. My mom wants us to pick a Christian name, but I'm not so sure about that. I like the idea of naming children after other people (such as grandparents)...we'll see.

Thank you for the advice on recording people's expressions, that's a good idea :)

I'm not studying medicine. I'm actually studying education. I'm working on my doctorate, so lots of reading and writing :x

LITERATRIZ--Best wishes in your appointment TODAY!!!! let us know how it goes. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine. Another milestone :) I hear all this talk about genetic counseling and testings being done, but I don't have anything like that scheduled yet. I don't know why, I'll check with my midwife next week.

I understand your DH's concern with sex. We were just the same. Even last night  DH said things like "do you think the baby is feeling this? Is the baby being disturbed" hehehhehe. We read a pregnancy book that suggests some positions. Do you have any pregnancy book with suggestions?

I agree with you about the stress. I'm trying to be protective too. I remind myself "baby is in there, and that's the most important thing right now!" When my mom was here I had a couple of episodes just like yours. I would have cramps after a big argument. Let's take care of ourselves.

BABYLOVES--Best wishes in your exam! when are you taking it? Luckily I don't have to take any more exams (knock on wood!), but I do have to read and write A LOT! I'm taking 3 classes this semester and they are related to education, curriculum, democracy and diversity.

AMAZU, JENWITT, MAFALDA and everyone else, I hope you're all doing great.

Hey Babyloves and Esperanza - Didn't I realize that u guys are running neck to neck with the time!!! Ofcourse we will hear from babyloves first because of twins. :D Ladies.....first trimester is alomst over...TIME IS FLYING!!!

For me... just one more day when I see my little one. :D
Lit - All the best for your appointment. We are waiting to hear a good story from your side...:)

And about stress, the baby sure doesn't want any stress.
And Esperanza, I too felt 'different' kind of cramps whenever I am stressed. I also have my share of stress as we have moved from Bahrain to India and my DH is trying to settle down here with his work. You guys would understand how stressful that can be. But DH's supercool attitude helps me to relax. We haven't been able to make any major headway so far but I know that everything will be fine in the end.

I am also a teacher and have a major in History and a degree in education. I am not working anymore but I surely miss my job, I loved teaching History. If I get a chance sometime I would love to pursue my studies. I am so proud that Esperanza is doing a doctorate in Education. It inspires me so much. :)

Ok ladies....bye bye

Dear all,
Just so happy to read your notes and feel the positive vibes and good wishes. Well, everything was fine. The U/S was postponed and DH did not see them moving around :) the NT results came all bellow 3 mm, which is awsome. No worries for now. They did not recommend any further testing. And I am right behind you, turning the corner of the first trimester - less risk, more romance, not that opressive belly yet! Thank you all for the good wishes!
I laughed at Esperanza's description of the ackwardness of the first love-makink after a BFP. We are fooling around (it doesnt' help the fact that I've got candidiasis right after we tried, which according to my doctor is very common in pregnant women) but nothing completed yet. Work in progress - and I enjoy it anyways
I did not find a book on sexuality during pregnancy but I promise to share whatever works for us if others in the list OKd mildly adult content :)
Sonu911, as far as I know, boobs do get back in place if our genetic background favors it. Otherwise...well, many appreciate a nice bouncing anatomic addedum, contrary to what plastic surgeons want for us to believe. I would worry only about keeping the nipple skin strong (it is very sunny in India!) to prevent lacerations when the baby starts vacuuming it! Good luck on your triple marker test and enjoy the u/s!
Do you have relatives living near you in India? Are you making friends?
Babyloves, I am glad to know that you are sharing the good news with everyone. My mom-in-law was a bit aprehensive with the financial downsize of triplets (more even now with this economic crisis) but now she is a lot happier. She is worried that they will go to College at the same time. Well, this is way down the road :)
Educators, historians, psychologists (me)...no matter what we do, we are in this planet to make it better, through working, raising good human beings and accomplishing the small duties of the day. It is good to know that we are not alone.
Best wishes, Literatriz
