laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy???

Post by JennLB25 »

Any one here have "laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy" (removal of tubes by laparaoscopy)?

How long does it take to recover from this surgery?

Do you think I could possibly be starting IVF in November if my surgery is next Wednesday, October 8th?

Thanks.

Hmmm, let me remember, I think I had my surgery in November and began my IVF in December.

The recovery time was two weeks but honestly within a couple of days I was pretty much back to normally. There were three little incisions in abdomen and that was about it.

I hope everything goes OK and good luck with your ivf treatment

Thanks for your response.

It's kind of scary considering that once the tubes are removed, you know that you will never get pg without medical intervention. At least you always have that small chance of a miracle when you still have your tubes.

Well, I work Monday and Tuesday and surgery is Wednesday so I'm taking the rest of the week off work so I can take care of myself and get better quickly.
