Clare, I'm so proud of you for setting up your blog!!! It looks great! I just read all your posts. Love that first picture that you said was your favorite. Now, I have to tell you that I've already book-marked your blog, which means everyday I'm going to check it along with about 10 of my other friends or family blogs to see if there's anything new. So, you gotta keep on posting. ha ha. You are right about what you said that it also is like a journal or keeps records of Charlie's life. Imagine our kids being able to read everything we posted in their blog over the course of their life. I think it's a great way to sort of journal things, plus the added bonus of video & pictures.

Sounds like you have some great b-day celebrations planned for Charlie too. Thanks for the wishes for us. The b-day week is all over. Now when people ask me how old they are I have to say "two". Blah! And I thought I hated saying "almost 2".

Hi all!

Been kept busy with birthday activities - Charlie's birthday seemed to last about 10 days this year! But everyone had a fab time and my house is now full of new toys!!! My sisters asked me about Christmas presents the other day - I said clothes!!!! My poor house can't take any more toys (although I'm sure Charlie will disagree!)
How are the birthday plans for the nearly 2's????? Anything exciting?

Whilst Charlie and I were in London this weekend dp changed the cot into a bed. First night last night was a great sucess (sorry Sue!). We had just one "visit" at 5am but other than that he stayed in the bed! We have a new digital clock and "bunny wake/sleep" clock in his room so we're trying to teach him not to get out of bed until the digital one says 6 and the bunny is awake - he seems to "get it" but still chancing his arm at the moment. Will keep trying!

Anyhow - hope everyone is well!

Happy second birthday to all our miracles!!

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I am going through IVF AGAIN now after several failed FET transfers and a miscarriage earlier this year - and am on my 2ww with my beta next Monday (please stick little baby stick!)

Just going through IVF and Maia turning 2 yesterday - really made me reflect on how lucky I am with her - and just how amazing and wonderful it was going through the IVF cycle back in 2006 with all of you guys. We felt like such a tight knit and supportive family. I have tried a few threads this time - but no way the same and really just haven't connected with anyone at all - like we all connected.

Anyway just wanted to say hello to all and hope all your rays of sunshine are doing well!!

Saraid - sorry to hear about the BFN - good luck for next time!!

Hugs

Mel

Hey all!

Ooo Mel - how exciting. How has this round been for you? Best of luck for Monday (I'm probably not able to log on until Monday - by which time I think you'll have the results being so far ahead of us timewise. So sending sticky baby dust to you early!!).

Kristii - sounds like you're having a fab time in Hawaii. Great piccies!

Sue - how's things with you?

Madiva/Tracii/Saraid - haven't heard from you guys for a while. How's the little ones doing?

We had a great time in Tenerife. Rented a villa for the week (with a hot tub!) and really had a blast. It's fantastic now they are a little older and able to interact so much more. We went and played crazy golf, visited the jungle park, went to the beach and had some wonderful meals. Only downside was that charlie was "that" child on teh flight back. You know the one - doesn't want to sit down, won't wear the seatbelt, screams, throws toys and is generally disruptive. He was quite tired and I discovered 2 more of his back teeth are through but I think that's just me making excuses. He was just a typical tantrumy 2 year old!!!! Hey-ho. Now back to the UK with the wind and rain and those 4 hours are forgotten about!!!

Have a great weekend all!

BFN for me. Very sad. Feels like a long year of trying! Blessed to have DD - but do wish so much we could have a sibling for her.

Will any of you guys plan on any more?

Mel P - so sorry to read your news, big hugs on the way to you from me too!!!!

thinking of you.

Cla - were alright, still dealing with the PND but things are slowly improving. My mother in law is now very ill, chemo has been stopped because of the blood results, so they are trying to get her stronger, so they can continue, so things are a bit stressy here. Jess is fine though, just a stroppy 2 year old. I remember our flight to Spain, Jess was horrendous and refused to move off a passengers seat because she wanted her own, it was so hard, so i understand completely how you felt on the return flight. How are the Christmas plans going?

Hope everyone is ok,

speak soon

love

Just a quick update, mother in law is now responding well to treatment and has gained a 1lb!!!! Which of course she is pleased about, she said she has spent most of her life dieting and now she is desperately trying to put the weight back on.

Jess is amazed by the christmas lights, we put star lights up in the window last night, so we had to leave the blinds open so she could see them. She even checked they were still there when we turned the big light on. Hope everyone is doing ok, anyone got anything special happening?

speak soon

Hi all!

Sue - great to hear some good news about your MIL. Like Jess - I love all the Christmas lights too! We haven't put our tree up yet (not quite sure where it's going to go to be honest!!) but looking forward to it!

Kristi - still can't believe that comment about the santa at the mall on your blog! It's actually making my blood boil as I type this! Right, calming down now!!!

Mel - hope things are ok with you?

Madiva - Haven't heard from you in a while??

Tracii - Lost track of here you are at the moment? RU in Italy??!!!

Saraid - Again, haven't heard from you for a while? How's things?

Haven't actually done any Christmas shopping yet (eek!) but have a few days off next week whilst Charlie is in nursery so hoping to do it all then! DP took Charlie on an open top bus ride round town on Thursday after the Christmas lights switch on. Despite it pouring with rain, they had great fun! Have to say I think Stratford has the best Christmas lights in country (ok, ok so I'm biased!) - seriously though they're really good! They are running the bus again every Thursday till Christmas so I think he may get another ride this week! He-He!

Right - off to worry about the fact I haven't started shopping! (ok - really going to the pub for a glass of wine!!!!)

Hey everyone!

Cla, yeah, crazy about the mall Santa, huh?

Sue, glad to hear your MIL is showing some improvement and is feeling better. That sure must be tough on everyone. My thoughts are with your family!

We put our Christmas tree up right after (or was it before) Thanksgiving. So we'll have a good 6 weeks or so to enjoy it. It was the first time that I've put up a tree! The boys love it. They turn on the lights as soon as they wake up and they want them on all day long. When we drive in the car at night they say "MOM, more lights"...over and over and over.

I finished my Christmas shopping today and started wrapping. I enjoyed it this year!

So, just wanted to say hi!
