For those that remember me of old - need I remind you...... Singing knickers, granny smiths up the backside, cucumbers up the same place and todgers stuck in zips- all discussed at my ET, feta cheese down my keyboard, heel stuck in pavement, and putting kisses on a fax to a new client due to too much time spent on this site....... WEll I have been quite well behaved since then.
Today my brain has fried - the other day I bought an bra from George only I picked up a 36C not a 38C which I needed (sorry Dagny) -there is some room for growth! WEll today I decided to take it back. I had already had a wasted journey to get my tyre replaced on the Sharan - I ordered the tyre 2 days ago and they got the wrong flaming one. He said "you need reinforcing" - told him not to be rude and I wan't that big - he had no sense of humour and said the MPV needs reinforced tyres not you - durrrr! Anyway have to go back Friday for that.So I went to Asda to change my bra and do some shopping.
Went to Customer service and queued - it is flaming half term only to be told to go to the George desk - queued again - nice lady who is 16 wks pg and thinks might be twins as so big(she has not had a scan yet) Looked at her and me at 14.5 and thought "I am bigger than you" - anyway after a chat she changed my bra. Off I went only need the loo so went in to the loo and hung the bag on the door.......... Came out and off I went around the store then realising had left it in the toilet. BAck to the toilets - no bra. Back to George Desk - nothing - go to Customer sErvice - back there and queue again - yep there it was - this all took around 20 minutes before I even started shopping.
HAving got back hours later I am knackered and had enough - my brain seems to be scrambled egg - anyone else having the same problem?

hi, i just have to be rude here and ask but just how old are you??????
and nikola?
as for "pg brain", yes yes yes i have had this right through, i thought i was the only one. actually this is how i knew i was pg, as normally quite good at spelling, and found myself making stupid mistakes and not seeing how to put them right..
now, have you any clues about single buggies? i dont want to get one with car seat as like the idea of baby lying flat, and we will get seperate seat.
we are looking at the mclaren techno as folds quire small, too many people have the m&p plicko, inc my brothers new baby and they find it hard to operate with 2 hands let alone1 hand.
i want something thats small and easy to get in and around the shops... and sorry nikola if you are reading this{which you are of course} i dont like the bugaboos......oh i bet im extradited now..
but.. us city girls dont have to worry too much about pot holes, and rough roads e.t.c
oh well think id better quit now while im ahead.
speak soon love jackie xxx
Jackie - how can you not like the BUGABOO!!!!!! Its simply the coollest pushchair around.........!!!! What about the Jane Powertrack - another of my single buggy favourites! There is lots of choice for singles, I'm sure you'll find one you like - shop around and test drive them all.
As for Tracey Sharps age.....lets just say she is MUCH older than me!!!!
love nikola.x
ps of course I was reading it - I read EVERYTHING! I'm sad, I have no life!
Interrupted by nik again - am 37 - 38 july going on 3! Jane is great if not expensive. What about just the jane flat car seat and then another lighter pram aS you r a ciy girl? The Urban detour from Mothercare has had good right ups

We looked at the Urban detour from Mothercare but I dont think it was big enough for my dh.
We've ordered the Jeep Scirocco 4x4 with the carrycot. We've got a Britax carseat (got £20 off in the xmas sale.)
Anyway talking of pg brain has anyone else become a clumsy bugger or is that just me. I keep falling into and over stuff. I fell out of bed the other night and then straight in to the door. If I was drunk then that would be a great excuse - I hope its not the guinness thats doing that to me!!!!

BErtie how exciting
Not the falling over - the Jeep - do they do a double do you know? I was looking for the landrover ones but they have stopped making them I think?
Where did you get it?
Sorry questions questions and yes I am clumsy but then have been for a while - like 30 years !
I often walk into the towel rail inthe ensuite - has been off the wall a couple of times. Lay off that Guiness!

I dont think they do it in a double though. We got ours from Nurseryland in Wakefield but you can get it cheaper from the internet. You can get allsorts of additives - footmuff, bag, raincover etc etc. We didnt get the car seat though as I dont agree with those that sit on the prams - theres definitely not enough room to sprawl out in one of those!
Bertie
Tnanks - will check the internet just incase - sure you are right! I agree with you over the car seats - which one are you getting?

On the subject of car seats did you know that babies are only supposed to be in them for 1-2 hours! Buggered if you are going on a long car journey! Apparently its not good for their spine!
I much prefer the old fashioned carrycots where the baby can lie down properly when out for a walk.....bloody hell I sound like my mum!!!
Help!!!
Bertie - v.clumsy (me, not you!). I keep getting up in the night to go to the loo and banging into the wall or the corner of the bed!
The guiness sounds good - its supposed to be good for the breast milk isnt it? Any excuse.......is good for me! I wonder if I could convince everyone that Bollinger was good for breast milk too!

We have got a Britax car seat. Cant think what its called but its v big and has a cream insert for a newborn. It cost £100 from Mothercare (in the sale.)

As far as I know Guinness is full of iron too. My gran used to swear by Guinness - I'm keeping the family tradition going!!! My iron count was v low last time it was checked and then the doc gave me some tablets. As I'm sure you will know the iron tabs make you constipated. (i'm lowering the tone now.) I think the iron in the Guinness makes up for the tablets!!
Bertie x
Bertie
That is not lowering the tone - look at some of the threads!
Nik - you are right re recommended time in seats - that is why they are better off in the carry cots (not allowed these days) or Jane type flat seats but buggered if we have the room in the car for those two and everything and everyone else!
Like the britax Bertie - want one of those or the maxi one I think - will see

I have a bit of pg brain i keep forgetting what i am saying or going to say or what the conversation was about or rambling on about things that i have no idea about.
In March sometime there is going to be the first baby exhibition in glasgow so i think we are going to that its suppose to have everything you would ever need and more. I looked at the bugaboo site and i am not sure about them (or maybe the price as my mum and sis are paying for it) or maybe it was the fact i was crabbit when i was on the website.
I am still finding it a bit hard to look at these things.
My mother in law is not helping she never even showed my dh's brother the photo when she had it or his girlfriend and they were so excited when i showed them the first one but i won't go into that as my blood starts to boil.
Had my sis staying for a couple of days it was great we just stayed in our pjs for a whole day.
