question for Ghost

Post by kristinpa »

Hi Ghost,
I am due for my Beta tomorrow....today I broke down and took a hpt that the package insert says detects as low as an HCG of 20. It was negative. So needless to say I am not optimistic about my Beta. My question is, realistically, how soon do you think a doctor would permit me to do another IVF? Is it reasonable to shoot for an egg retrieval in early-mid December? or would this be considered too early? Would you also recommend switching clinics? I was thinking of switching from CMC charlotte to REACH (I have seen them in the past so I am already an established patient). I am just so anxious to try again.

first of all you should go read the post on why you SHOULDNT poas!! and i mean now!!!

As for when you can try again different clinics have different philosophies.. i cycled once back to back and the others i waited a month in between..

changng clinics may make it harder to go back to back as everyone neeeds some of their own tests
Me 43 dh 65
6 cycles 3 chemicals
13+ banking cycles. 2 failed transfers to Surro
12/9 transfer 2 hatching blasts to surro beta 12/ 15

Too early to give up over an negative HPT.

I think December is realistic. Consider an antagonist cycle, or perhaps a flare cycle, if you want to pick up the pace.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

I would love it if I could get a big suprise tomorrow. I just feel like at this stage my HCG should be at least 20 (10 days post 3 day transfer/3 good quality embryos). It there any chance that I could just be implanting late? If I test negative tomorrow would my doctor recheck it in 2 days or just call it negative?

One of the girls on another board I post on just had a negative HPT one day, and a positive beta (116!) the next--so don't give up too soon!

Yes they could implant late, but even a normal on-time implantation can be missed by an HPT at this point.
