Hi everyone - hope you are doing well - thanks for bumping us up to the top Jenn - have been meaning to post! Would love to read your blog too. Nickster - hope all is going well - when do you start treatment ? The sistas will be right behind you and following your progress - we would love another preggo sista on this thread.

Fee - as a matter of fact Ams will be going on another trip end of Nov - to England - my family are all over there so we are very excited. I am going to be travelling alone with her (scarey!) and DH is coming out later so we can travel back together. Have booked her a bassinette for the plane so fingers crossed she will travel well. Not looking forward to the jet lag the other end (mine and hers!)

Meg - Lucy is one - how cute. Hope she had a great party. Are you still enjoying dressing her up - I love dressing Ams now - she has graduated out of the terry towelling sleep suits and now demands lots of cute outfits!

Tina - hope Noah is sleeping more at night and you have turned off that alarm now - I definitely agree - let them go longer and longer at night and fill them full of milk during the day!

Vicky - hope Benjamin is doing well and Sassy, I am sure you have you hands full but I am keeping up to date with your blog - you are doing an amazing job.

Must go - Amelie is waking - and hour and half this morning - not too bad I guess! SHe is still a bit unpredictable with her day sleeps but is brilliant at night - 7 til 7 with a quick feed at 3 am so have built up some sleep credits.

Bye for now.

Hi girls!
We just got back from Jamaica last night. We had a fabulous time! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the resort we stayed at could not have been more beautiful. But unfortunately all good things must come to an end and here we are back to reality! I did like 28 loads of laundry today (slight exageration but it was a lot!) then cleaned, and now I have to go back to work tonight already. I posted a couple of pictures of Tom & I down there on photobucket.

Angie~ Wow gettin brave my friend! Another trip with just the two of you? I'm sure she will be fine. She was on the last trip. It was funny, I was reading your post and you wrote she was waking and I read it as walking. I thought wait "how old is Amelie??" I'm such an idiot. Glad to hear she is sleeping better through the night.

Jenn~ I'm glad to hear you escaped damage from the storms. We were pretty lucky with our trip, we were sure we would be in trouble the way things were looking but thank God it ended up being fine.
So ms Anna sounds like she's all over the place. I can imagine that crawling thing is quite a shock when your used to them just staying where you put them!
I pm'ed you too by the way.

Fee~ So good to hear fom you. Are you feeling ok now? What was wrong? I hope things have gotten better.
So...we need to round up the sistas, again, to put the beat down on these ignorant a** people that keep asking you if you're pregnant. People are soo ignorant, I can't even stand it.

Tina~ How are you and Noah?

Meg~ How are you and our Lucy girl?

Vicky~ Anything new?

Sassy~ I checked on you and the triplets today and sooo glad to hear everyone is doing better.

So I start my birth control in a couple weeks and my target date for the ivf is now Dec. 1st. I talked to the doc today about the hysto he did and he said he removed all the scar tissue and it wasn't bad at all. He said my lining looked good otherwise, my pre-labs have all been good, and my follicle count was great. He wants me to come in to have another ultrasound on Thursday to make sure the scar tissue hasn't grown back but he is pretty sure it's fine and we'll be able to go on with the December 1st date. So here we go again! Thank you guys so much for listening to me. It's a little harder this time because dh doesn't want to tell anyone we are doing this because of what happened before. So not even family knows we're doing it and it's hard not being able to talk about it to people.

I will talk to everyone soon. I'm off to work.

Nickster--So glad the vacation was fun. Jamaica sounds fabulous. I gotta tell you, I think people whose idea of a good vacation is something active like skiing or hiking are crazy. I'm a lay on the beach sipping margaritas kind of gal! So Jamaica would be right up my alley! I'm glad the hysto went well and am excited for you to get your cycle going. We're due for another preggo on this board!

Angie--Wow, England huh? That will be quite the experience. Yes, I still am a little crazy about Lucy's clothing. My new thing now is her hair barrettes...she has about 20 bows and of couse I have to pick one out everyday that matches her outfit. Unfortunately, she thinks it's funny to pull them out so we spend half of the day fighting over them. It's quite the battle...we're both so stubborn! Dh thinks I'm crazy for even bothering but I will have my matching bows. Oh yes, I will have my matching bows!!!!!

Lucy is amazing. She's talking so much now. It's like a new word everyday. Of course, half of them only dh and I can understand, but it's still exciting. It is no longer like just talking to myself...there is definitely another person in the room with me now! She is so funny...she loves to make me laugh and will do anything she thinks is funny over and over again. Right now, her big thing is to stick her finger up her nose whenever I'm looking at her. It cracks her up when I say "oooooh, don't pick your nose".. Instant giggles. Hopefully that goes away soon!

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm going to skip working out tonight. I'm just too tired. I think maybe I'm pms, but as I haven't had af yet since Lucy (yes, over a year and still no period!!!!!!!) I don't know what's going on with my body. And there just isn't anything good on tv on Tuesday nights anymore. Oh Big Brother, how I miss you!!!!!

Nickster...I just looked at your pics. I don't know what you're talking about, you look great! You and your dh look like such fun people...and I want to be sitting at that pool bar right now!
Also, I see that you're from Missouri. Are you a college football fan? We've got the big game coming up this weekend---my dh has a bunch of friends coming over from St. Joe to cheer on the Tigers. We, of course, are big Husker fans although unfortunately it's been a rough couple of years for us!!!!!

Hey everybody!!

Nickster~ that vacation sounds awesome! The pictures looked great! Dh and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon 7 years ago and loved it!!! We stayed at a resort in Ocho Rios. I would love to go back! I'm excited for you to start your cycle. Dh and I are throwing around the idea of doing a frozen after Anna's first birthday. We have 3 left. We will see. Right now we have decided to maybe go to Vegas after the first of the year and then try a frozen.

Meg~ Maybe your husband should switch to rooting for another Tiger...I am an LSU Tiger fan and we win games  Hee hee!
I miss B. Brother too! But Grey's is back on so I have something to look forward to at least!

Angie- Wow! England will be fun. I wish we traveled abroad more. You are brave to do it without dh.

Well, she is crying so I better go entertain her!

Meg~ We are not big college football fans. DH is a huge Cowboys fan but as far as college, I guess his team would be the Longhorns, mainly just because it's Texas.
I am with you on morning the loss of Big Brother! It becomes such a big part of your life being 3 days a week. Sad, sad, sad! We just watched the premiere of Survivor last night hopefully that will help take it's place.

Jenn~ So thinking about doing this again eh? Sounds like a good plan to do vacation first, that's what we did. I knew the last thing we should do before spending all this money is to go on vacation but I'm hoping it will be our last vacation with just the two of us!

I had my follow up ultrasound today, and great news, everything looks wonderful. Nothing had grown back & lining looks great. So we are headed for late November/early December target date.

Nickster - so glad everything is on track for you - bring it on end of November is what I say!

We are doing well here - Amelie won't stop grinning which is very cute. She's sleeping much better during the day now and still good at night so we are all happy. She's graduated to her big cot now, from the bassinette, and seems to love it - lots more room to kick around!

On Tuesday I took her to baby gym - lots of fun for babies and also good for Desperate Housewives mothers like me who need to get out of the house! Although we did have to sing nursery rhymes in public ( not good !)

Hope everyone is doing well - I read on Sassy's blog that one of her little boy trips is going home which is brilliant news.

Bye for now.

Jenn- Where did you have your IVF done? I am looking at a clinic in Houston, and knew you were from there. One of my doctors from San Antonio went there, and I am thinking of following him. My last experience with the clinic in SA was so horrible that i refuse to go there. DH and I haven't decided what to do. I really want to try again, he hasn't made any commitments. Anyhow, we are looking in Houston, and at CCRM in Colorado.
Just wondering.

Hi to all the other ladies. All your little ones look great.

Nickster- Can't wait for you to start your cycle. Fingers crossed on this one.

will catch up more later.

Hey Robbo! Funny you should ask, I was just over there today! I go to a Dr. in the Houston Fertility Institute. I think the web address is
www.hfi-ivf.com they are wonderful!! Very supportive and they have several offices in the Houston area. They just moved the office that I went to. Now they are in a brand new building- very nice!

Hope everyone is doing ok. We are plugging along here. Anna is growing like a weed!

Thanks for the reply Jenn. I am actually looking at the Fetility Specialists of Houston clinic. THey have a clinic in Houston and one in Katy most of all, I was wanting to compare prices with CCRM.
The past two cycles I have paid $15K each....CCRM is approximately $25K, so I was curious about teh Houston clinic. They do not post their prices. HMMMMM
So, were you visiting your clinic to get started on a FET? How many fristies do you have left?

Hey Robbo! We have 3 frosties left and I found out yesterday that my Dr. isn't there anymore. She went back to practicing OB/GYN. So I am switching to her, b/c I loved her! I wasn't too crazy about my Dr. that delivered Anna. And I like the idea of having a Dr. that really knows my history! and She can offer advice when we do go back for the frosties.

Good luck finding a new clinic. I think ours ran in the $15k range :( Not a fun part of it to think about!!

Hi girls!

Jenn~ That will be great to have your old IVF doc be your OB. Sometimes I think regular OB's don't know enough about IVF to give enough attention. I think it will be nice to have someone truly know all that you've been through. I think you mentioned it before but when are you thinking of doing another cycle?

Robbo~ I hope you find a clinic that's right for you. I think they all seem to run about $15k from what I've heard. At least by the time you pay for meds and all that. This new clinic I am with says $7k but then they charge extra for everything, where my old clinic just said $15k and all was included. I think it's the same...just a different way of quoting it! Keep us posted on who you decide to go with and when you're getting started.

Tina~ I can't believe you're back to work already, it seems way to soon...I'm sure you'll agree! Good to hear Noah is starting to get into a real routine, that's awful nice of him to do that according to schedule! I hope they take it easy on you at least at first. I know they had you working pretty hard right before you had him. Oh yeah...we need new pics too if you get time.
The college football thing, yeah he's a Texas fan. This weekend ought to be intersting for college and nfl. Tigers play the Longhorns and Rams play Cowboys to which he is still hoping to get tickets to!

Angie~ Sounds like Amelie is doing well also. Baby gym, eh? Sounds like a great time out for the both of you.
I've been keeping up with Sassy's blog too and it sounds like they will all be home together real soon. I'm so glad for her, wow, what a relief that will be.

Fee how are you?
Vicky, we are in serious need of an update on you and Benjamin!

Not much going on in our world right now other than trying to get this IVF started. I guess it's just normal for places to be so busy they drop the ball a lot! I almost didn't "officially" make it into the Decmeber cycle apparently. The girl that signs people up had told me to wait to put my deposit down until after the hysteroscopy and follow up ultrasounds and all that. So the day after my follow up ultrasound I started e-mailing her (this is how they like to do things). I e-mailed her three times telling her I wanted to put my deposit down and never heard from her so I finally called and talked to her. She tells me "It's a good thing you called today because there is only one spot left in the December cycle". I'm like well I've been e-mailing you for about a week now. Then I am due to start af late this week or early next and supposedly someone is supposed to call and set up my calndar, needless to say I haven't heard a thing so I again e-mailed a defferent person today. So far I have stayed positive and I'm not sure why. It's not like me to not have lost it by now!
It's getting harder and harder for me to be at work these days. The other day we had a girl deliver twins that was due on November 3rd (my old due date!). I am so glad we're doing this cycle now because otherwise I think I would be having an even harder time with it.
Oh yeah this will give you all a nice laugh. My cousins wife had her baby. This is the cousin that married the hoosier of all hoosiers. So anyway, they named their baby Spike Hendrix. How awful is that? Hideous!

Talk to everyone later.

Nickster~ Ewww! Spike Hendrix??? Awful! Why do people do that to their kids? Glad you are still upbeat about your cycle. I would be a little perterbed at the clinic by now!! We were thinking of waiting until Anna is 1 to do a cycle, but we'll see...
