Hi Girls
I am so thrilled to finally be posting over on this side. This afternoon we had our first scan and we saw one heartbeat. After our m/c last time, I didn't get this far so needless to say we are completely over the moon, and finally accepting that this is real and that we are having a baby. I know it sounds mad that we weren't more accepting a couple of weeks ago, but we just needed to see the heartbeat to be reassured. I am officially 6 weeks and 1 day pg! OMG! OMG! OMG! Next scan is in two weeks today and then they hand us over to our GP.
I'm the happiest person ever today, although a little tired! I felt a little nauseous this morning but not sure whether that was down to nerves or the real thing!
Anyway going to have a little nap.

Our darling son Jake was born in October 2004 on our 3rd IVF attempt. I have PCOS. We're now trying again naturally, before embarking on our next FET IVF possibly late 2005... so watch this space!!!

I'm so pleased for you. We can all remember how thrilled you feel when you see the heartbeat for the first time!!! How lovely.

You keep your feet up, rest and keep drinking as much fluids as you can!!!

I am really pleased for you. It is wonderful seeing the heart beating for the first time. You must be over the moon.

Take it easy and keep up the drinking - water!!! Not alcohol.

hihi michelle, im so please the scan went well, its just so amazing
seeing the heartbeat isnt it, must admit i still have to keep pinching
myself at 11wks, i just still cant believe it !!!!
Just think only 2 wks till the next scan, it does go quickly.

Hi Michelle

So glad your scan went great. You never forget the first time you see the heartbeat. Hope you got a photo. The next two weeks should fly by and you will see a big difference in the size.

Hi Shell,

Just want to say congrats you must be over the moon, and isn't it just amazing when you see your baby for the first time on the scan, it won't be long and you will be holding your baby in your arms.
