Sorry to be posting here, but I thought you ladies may be able to help me. I am currently looking into embryo adoption/ donation and it seems like it could be a lengthy process. I was just wondering if any of you have done this before, if so, could you share some of your experience. Also, I was wondering if any of you know people who are looking for someone to adopt their frosties?? My husband and I have been married for almost five years and trying for three of those. We have been through 4 ivf attempts, and two miscarrages. We have decided to move on to another way of conceiving, and think this could be a great option for us. Thanks for any help or advice.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
First I would like to say that I am so very sorry for your recent loss. I can't imagine how truly devastated you were to find out that the baby whose HB you saw and had such high hopes for did not survive.
Next, I would like you to go to the general forum and read the post thread titled "miscarriage". There is information in there that could help you as I see by your signature that this is not your first loss through M/C. Also, another reason for recurrent M/C is bateria. Only 5 labs in the US can currently correctly diagnose pathogens in the uterus after a biopsy. NO swab culture could ever tell you what is harbored IN the uterus. If you are in the Northeastern US you may want to look up a doctor in NYC Dr. Attila Toth. His website is fertilitysolution.com - he believes many recurrent miscarriages (and IF itself) can be attributed to pathogens in the reproductive tract. I would look into the blood test and then maybe bacteria as the cause before looking into embryo adoption. I got pregnant first try after treatment with Dr. Toth - I have 6 month old twins.
Please stay with us and keep us posted. I can be found in the parents sections April 2008 babies.
Baby dust and blessings to you,

I really appreciate the info. It is very interesting, and I have never heard about bacteria before. We really believe it is time for us to move on for now. Money and time is an issue for us, and we are ready to do whatever it takes to have a child. Our clinic is very well known in our area, and has really helped us out on the finances. I don't think that changing clinics would be an option for us. We are paying out of pocket for every ivf and our clinic has really given us a discount. Thank you very much for the supportive thoughts. Congrats on your twins!
