Personally if I was spending all that money on IVF, I would quit. With my first pg I smoked until I found out I was pg. He was perfectly healthy. And I think I drank pretty good one night after we had concieved him. But if I was having difficulty getting pg and to the point of doing IVF, I would quit. There is a reason why smoking is one of the question on the questioneer you fill out from the doctors.

Yes, people often get pregnant and have babies while drinking and smoking. People also often survive wars and automobile accidents. This does not make them a good idea.
She would improve her chances of success, and the chance that any resulting baby will be healthy, if she quits.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
i understand that, but she is only going through ivf because the only way she its the only way she can get pregnant because dh has low sperm counts like less than 1000 & out of that 1000 only a 100 a good quality so what about in that case...

Smoking hurts her chances in all cases. It impacts egg quality, for example.

I hope this helps for your friend it did me I was told I needed ivf in aug had lap and d&c sept 2nd when i got to surgery center RE asked if i was smoker and of coarse I am he never asked me in the office but that morning he informed me it would not only effect the quality of my eggs but it will also effect stim meds causing them to be less effective it was enough to scare me to quit I want a baby bad enough that i find it worth it to go through ivf to get the baby i long for what harm does it do to quit when the outcome will surely be more beneficial for mommy and baby's health.
p.s had 3 breathing treatments post surgery and had a hard time in recovery thanks to my addictive personality i had to get that last smoke in. It is the hardest habit to break and still have huge cravings a month later.
good luck to you in your journey to help your friend
