Cocoa: I'm here! Life i so hectic these days. I just happened to check in as I sit here pumping before rushing off to work. I'm down to 1 pump a day now -- almost done weaning. YEAH!

Not much spare time at all. My husband has an exam every FN Monday and usually a paper or two due. Translation: I have to watch the boys most of the weekend, we don't get out together much (other than quick errands), I'm rushing around the house to take care of personal business, etc. It's a bit depressing as I'd really like to have some fun and a little R&R on the weekends. But, God love the husband -- he is such a dedicated student and really doing his best to perform well at USC (he's 31 so this is a change of directions for him -- used to be a musician on the road). On top of everything else, he is such an attentive and loving dad. This is just another one of those sacrifices you have to make for the good of the family.

The boys are doing well. They can't sit up on their own just yet (but you can prop them up in a pod chair). One of my boys is doing really well with tummy time (lifting his head and moving his feet) I feel like he is on the verge of crawling. The other one, well, he is a bit behind in this dept. He puts his arms straight to his sides (like superman) -- no wonder he can't lift himself -- LOL.

OMG Haley! Your babies are standing with only arms support?! That is amazing! I hold my boys under their armpits and they like to straighten and squat and put one foot in front of the other, but I feel they are ages from standing. I haven't even gotten them in a jumperoo yet as they still slump forward after sitting for just a bit.

THey hit their 6 month mark a few days ago. They have been on rice cereal for about 3 week and I just started them on fresh zucchini. They didn't know what to think of it, but I think they are getting accustomed to it.

Still drooling, no teeth just yet. Both are talking up a storm and giggling.

Cocoa: I'm so sorry about the boyfriend. Really sucks! You've been through a rough road with men as of late. Is your ex involved with your babies? You sound great notwithstanding the bs.

I've lost most of my weight, but my body is very different. I have about another 2 inches to go before I feel like I can get into a bikini (going to Hawaii for x-mas so I need to get in shape quickly). Of course, it doesn't help that I have not dieted nor have I worked out AT ALL (save 1 time at the gym last week). Trying to figure out a schedule.

OK, must dash and get ready for work.

Sorry I've been MIA. I read the posts and it's great to catch up. Try to be back soon.

btw, anyone losing their hair like nobody's business? Mine doesn't seem to stop shedding. I swear I feel like I have about 1/2 the hair I did previously. Feel like I have a receding hair-line

I remember losing hair with my DD, but thought it was due in large part to the stress of losing her.

When does it stop and is there anything we can do to help the cause? From fat and bloated to BALD!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEP!!! All par for the course of motherhood... it is due to the extreme drop in progesterone. Six months is about the normal time we really see it happen too. I remember my lush, thick, beautiful hair with my son! It was FABBBBBBBB.... :D only to lose it all in the subsequent months following his birth :-( With these babies I never did get a really thick head of hair so even though I know it has gotten a little thinner it is not as thin as I would expect it to be.

Anyway, I am sure it just FEELS way thin...

Hair got my attention. Not that I lost any, but my hair USED to be naturally curly. Now it's almost straight and I hate it!

I put a binky down on the jumperoo after I sat Stephie in it. She picked it up, put it in her mouth, then started jumping around. She is acting like such a big girl now. Boy it goes fast.

Anybody getting really stiff after sitting or in the morning. It's driving me crazy. I can barely walk the first few minutes out of bed in the morning. Then when I sit for periods of time, I am really stiff and sore. They did a test on me for inflammatory problems and arthritus but I checked out fine.
It does not feel fine to me!

My fingernails have all broken off and gone weak...boo hoo! I was so proud of them, now they are so ugly....I just don't have the time to put gel ones on nowadays!

My hair is still glossy and thick, except for where Ellie pulls it out when she grabs hold of it!

Hello everyone,
My hair and nails have not changed at all, but it can still happen though.
Kipatte, I kinda feel the same way sometimes in the mornings, i went to get a deep tissue massage and it did help quite a bit. I think that may be it is due to carrying Tesa so much during the day :?
I have a question, do your babies sit up on their own yet? Tesa is falling constantly on the side, she will be 6 months on the 23rd, so i thought that she would be sitting by now...

Vlada: Ellie was rolling, but has now stopped, and she cant sit up yet, but we have fun together trying as long as I catch hr when she topples over. I am not really concerned, as long as she wants to try, then I know it will come when she is strong enough.

Mandy, unbelievably cute. I haven't seen Ellie in awhile.

Stephie rolls everywhere, but does not sit up on her own yet. She does full court presses though!

Mandy! How totally cute!! The cutest witch I'VE ever seen! :D

Babies don't usually sit completely unattended until about 8 months old. Some can at 7 months but as long as you see your baby trying new things all is just fine! We have a mantra in early childhood - if you see SOME progress then worrying is a waste of time...

Carolinagirl! Where are you!!!

Well, I had an ordeal - horrible...My babies get baptised tomorrow and my baby girl went to ER today. My dog snapped and got her in the face. I blame this all on the a$$hole I had been seeing. He was so cruel and nasty to my dog that my dog got a complex and became reluctant and mistrustful. I hate that crap head so much I would scream profanities if I ever saw him again  . Anyway, she wound up with a clean less than 1 in. laceration on her cheek but still needed 4 stitches. OMG!!! I was a mess!!! She is on antibiotics of course and since she is up on all her baby shots she did not need a tetnus (she had 2 so far). My poor baby will have a frankinstein scar for life. I tell you I absolutely HATE that "what he thinks of himself as a" man... yuck!

I am exhausted but just had to comment on Ellie 8)

I am not "doing" Halloween" - I just can't - too much for a single girl...

so love to you all as usual...

Cocoa:

So sorry to hear about your baby girl. Curious did she grab the dog? We have two Maltese dogs that have been very sweet with Stephie, but I am a little nervous when she starts to grab their fur.
