Hi all,
Wendy, 40 follies!!!..That's stacks!!, all the best for ec on Monday. My blood test went well I think (?!?!?!), I have to go back for a re-test on Monday, they're getting closer together now, so I think that's a good sign that et might be sooner than I think! I have an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday morning, after my m/c last time around I just want an "all clear" from her that I'm OK to go back again, am so scared of it happening again, I want to make sure I'm fit and well. I think I'm a little anxious to be honest, just want the LH surge to happen and for everything To Beck and Craig, all the best on the last week of the 2ww, is quite stressful relly isn't it!!..Are you on knicker patrol yet??? (I was so intent on checking mine every twenty minutes or so I looked like I had a serious bladder condition!!
Dizzy, am keen to hear how ec went, let us know ASAP!
To everyone else, chins up please, we're going to have heaps of very big fat positives in this FCB bunch, I can just feel it!

hi all,
i am new to this message board so pls bear with me.I am 25 and had a failed ivf cycle in november.dh has azoospermia(0 sperm count). We have been married for 2 years.Throughout my childhood till the day i got married and even after that,i always felt that i will have difficulty conceiving. When my first ivf failed, i was devastated.I am from a foreign country and hardly have any family out here.I have 3 embroyos in the blastocyst stage frozen. My FET is on 1st of march.pls pray for me.Before the embryo transfer in my first ivf,my doctor showed me the embryo on a tv screen and said.....this is the baby...when i did not get pregnant, i wondered where did that baby go???But i know one thing......i will have a child in my arms one day...cause i am determined to be a MOTHER.i hope this for all of u too....

Thanx,
miracle.
It's going to be ok in the end.Even if it's not ok....IT"S NOT THE END!!!

Hello all,
Well I am sitting here crying now  (Miracle your post was heart wrenching but lovely ... the baby dust comment made the tears come)....

Keep on posting on this thread so we can see how you are going and so we can wish you lots and lots and lots of luck.
Wendy - 40 foliies. Bloomin norah. I had my scan yesterday and I've got 16 follies (range from 16mm - 12mm), and I thought that was good. They said I am on track for ec on Wed. Have another scan on Monday so I hope they have all grown a bit. I was so excited I had some follices ... that of course I cried all day. Dh thought something was wrong when I phoned him after the scan because I was crying so much and couldn't speak. I'm now a bit worried now that 16 follies isn't enough, so dh has told me off for looking at the threads. But I can remember other threads that say you only need one for a baby, so I'm happy again. Its a rollercoaster of a ride!!!!!

Dizzy - I hope ec went OK. I hope you are relaxing, and that all the eggs are fab juicy good ones.
Wendy - good luck for ec on Monday. Everything is crossed for you.
Kathryn - welcome to our thread.
Debra - r u relaxing and chilling before et on wednesday - hope the little frosties come up trumps.
Loopy - good luck for your scan on Monday. Let us know the results. I'm sure the gym is fine. It should be keeping you fit and healthy which can't be bad. I'm just jealous that you are obviously fit and I'm just really lazy.
Magnus - hope the sniffings OK. Are you getting nose bleeds - coz I still am.
BecknCraig - only a few more days to go. Catch some of Miracles baby dust? Positive Vibes, I can feel a big fat positive coming your way. I'm also glad you are more positive about the embies. They will be fine.

I am sure I have missed people off but I've got to run as I am off for an acupuncture session.
BY THE WAY - is anyone else getting cramping feelings in their lower belly. I'm getting them especially when I go to the toilet. Is this normal? :?

Bye Bye to you all. HERE'S A MASSIVE POSITIVE VIBE TO YOU ALL FOR NEXT WEEK ..... KEEP SMILING :) :) :) ..... AND GIVE OURSELVES HUGS BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT. MIRACLE YOU ARE RIGHT - IT WILL ALL WORK FOR US SOON.
Love from Sophie-Jane

Hi all, thanks for all your advice on ec. :D

EC went well and wasn't anything like as bad as i had imagined more of a slight discomfort than pain, i was awake for it all as i only had local anathetic so i could watch all the follicles being emptied. I'm not sure how many follies i had as some were only small but they managed to get 11 eggs and 6 have now fertilised so fingers crossed these will keep growing and dividing. ET is on monday. Feeling bloated (i can hardly do up my trousers) and i've still got some discomfort but all in all not too bad.

Wendy30 - you must be very bloated but hopefully they'll be able to get lots of good eggs, i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you on monday.

DebraP - don't worry about the injection they don't hurt, they just go in a bit deeper, they gave me one in my bum after EC - good luck

Loopy- i asked about going to gym when i was doing IUI and i was told it was ok so long as i didn't do any exercises which pulled on my tummy, but being lazy i've stopped going for the time being

Sophie Jane - 16 follies is loads, don't forget there is an egg in each one and hence a potential baby - PMA

Dizzy :D :D :D

Miracle; how sad, but things can only get better from now on. Sending out lots of PMA to you for your ET.

If anybody gets upset tummy when you get to taking the pessaries, don't worry it's quite normal I've been told. Been using them for a week very hormonal :x and  (again) more so than daily inj's.

What I could do for a glass of red wine.

Eddie sends big licks to everyone to give you all happy vibes for baby making.

Hi everyone,

Its been a while since I posted but I am in the middle of my 3rd IVF and things are not going well!

I am on day 9 of stims and still have only 4 tiny follies even though I am using 450iu per day of Merional. Clinic wont increase drugs and just say probably 4 is the best I can hope for and I will probably need to stim for longer than planned (ec was supposed to be next Friday) just to get them to a reasonable size.

I feel so dissappointed and so alone.

Hope that the rest of you are having better luck!

Love Alli

Alli
Do not worry about the follis , they will be fine , I had 2 follis and they were going to abandon my cycle but I made them let me carry on and hey presto I had 3 follis apear and got 4 eggis , there are other girls that have had 3 follis and ended up with 9 eggs , as long as there are 3 or 4 eggis and they fertilise , I would opt for icsi if you arnt already, then you anly need 1 to take inside . PMA PMA PMA , I know what you are feeling and its hard not to worry but please try and stay possitive at least cause it makes all the difference, here is a big hug

Hi my name in Angela and ive been reading this thread for a couple of weeks now. I was dying to post but couldnt activate my account at first!! Im 35 and on my first cycle (been trying for just over a year) - i had adhesions from an appendix when younger and had a laparotomy last July to release them and unblock one of my tubes. We decided to go straight for IVf than hang around! So here we are! I started niffing synarel on 23 Jan and go for my scan on Wed and fingers crossed will start taking either menopur or puregon (we have to let them know which one, one is a newer drug and more expensive - ANY ADVICE?) I also had a cyst and may have to have it aspirated, but the sysptoms of that seem to have disappeared! I find it so helpful and comforting to hear from others in the same boat. I seem to be coping ok with things so far, hot flushes are pretty bad and i did have headaches but theyve eased up now. Im due for ec on 8 march all being well. Sending lots n lots of Good luck to us all. bye for now.

Hi Everyone

Sophie-Jane & Alison, it doesn't matter how many you get, it only takes one to work, I've always had a large amount of follies, ok not quite 40 before, but I'm still here plodding along so it really doesn't mean anything. Anyway the told me on Friday that anyone with over 15 is at risk from over stimulation so maybe better to have a nice lower number. Also Sophie Jane, I only had 24 when I had my scan last Tuesday so 14 had grown in between Tuesday and Friday, so don't worry.

Dizzy glad your ec went well, I hate that bit, they have got me down for maximum morphine, sedative and other stuff. The last one was ok but the first one was a nightmare, mainly due to where my endometriosis is.

Feeling very bloated, a bit quesy and other not nice side effects, still managed to get my jeans on yesterday for the football but its jammies and jogging bottoms from now on.

Angelina, I used Menopur, no idea what the other one is like as my clinic don't give you a choice, it works for me though as first two times ended up with 8 or 9 eggs and have 40 follies this time.

Traci, glad to see your still posting away.

Beckncraig, hate the pessaries with a vengance, going for putting then in the 'other' bit this time as the discharge drives me demented.

Bel, hope your tests go ok again this week.

I'll be thinking of you all and I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.

Wendy :)

Angela/lina.... I used Puregon for my one (successful) IVF to date. I wasn't offered a choice but was very happy with the pen-type injection mechanism as it was completely painfree.

Good luck
Debra.

I am posting for my daughter (age22). She had embryo transfer on 2/20/04. Two good quality embryos were transferred. She is now on bed rest for five days and waiting for her pregnancy test on 3/5/04. She and hubby have been TTC for over 2 years. It is so hard for Grandmas to see their precious children go through all of this. Blessings to you all.
