I had my retrieval friday and was wondering if any one had any suggestions?? If anyone believes that acupuncture helps please let me know when I should go for the best results:). My transfer will either me monday (3day) or wednesday (5day). Im very stressed so any storeis would help.
Someone mentioned pineapple before transfer any thoughts would be helpful.
Hi~
Good luck with your upcoming ET. I have heard about pineapple.. but, didn't eat any.. b/c i truly forgot!!
As far as Acupuncture - my clinic offers laser acupuncture prior to and immediately after ET. Does your clinic offer anything like this? Its part of what they call "complimentary care" - although, it wasn't "complimentary" although the fee was nominal.
I thought that the process was wonderful - it was very relaxing and I was told by the acupuncturist that the increased blood flow and circulation is really helpful and it can increase your chances on a successful IVF cycle. (i was told by 5%) hey, any bit counts, right??
I'm not sure if they will do a 3 or 5 day transfer ... i imagine that it will depend on the quality of the embryos. I think i might transfer 4 if my doctor allows me to.
Did they grade your embryos before they transfered? How many cells were they?
hi..
they only tell you the cells when it is a day 3. What it is a blast.. there are too many cells to count. >100..
typically they look for an 8 cell embryo on a 3 day transfer..
my one embie was rated "above average" and the other was "average"
The above average one was a bit larger than the other - they will give you a picture of them, when you get there...
I was really stressed, too, before my ET! I was panicked about whether I should get accupuncture--but I hate needles, so I called my RE. She said she only really recommends it when you have blood flow issues, so I didn't do it.
I transferred two 5-day blasts, and am now 7wks pg with a singleton!
