Hello friends:

Quite an age, I have been here since last thursday. It has been very busy with school work. Anyhow, enough about me.

Sue: I am speechless as to what to say to you at this point in time. I cannot comprehend your situation despite the fact I am going through a lot myself. Hey, look up and smile and say to yourself, there is nothing impossible with God. You are down now but yo are not dead. You have opportunity to try again. I love you my dear, take heart.

Karen: Hope that this cycle will be it for you my dear. You will hear the cry of baby this time.

Priya: January is around the corner, stay strong and enjoy your time off ivf.

Kerry: How did saturday go with the roasting business, want to hear from you.

Angela, how are you doing today, you are almost through with 2ww. Hopefully it will be a good wait.

For me all, yu will not believe it, AF is still not here. I went in for blood work and the results are not looking good, FSH is like that of a premenopouse woman. DR said I ovulated but progestone is very low. I have decided to call it quits using my egg and will try an egg donor after I discuss with DH, we will have to consider costs and other phychological factors.

So if anyone is interesting and need Bravelle, I have 11 boxes for sale, name your price and I will consider it. However, I will still stick around the trade when I have time.

Love you all

It's positive

Post by angelaezra »

Hello Sue, Karen, Priya, Kerry, Towachi (I hope I didn't miss anyone)!

I am happy to say that I just took my third HPT and it is POSITIVE...! I am happy I took one last Thursday because I know the Ovidrel (HCG) shot is out of my system because that was negative and the one I took on Saturday was very faint. And now if I test positive it is because I am really pregnant..!

I have to go for my beta test tomorrow so I will keep you updated!

Hi everyone,

sorry for being mia.
The hog roasting party was a great success, everyone said that the meat was tender and delicious so I feel better about things now. My house is tidy again now too, my goodness I wont be doing it at home again for a while.

Sue: I'm so sorry about your BFN I was working yesterday too so only just read your post today. You take all the time you need to recover from this huge disappointment, it truly is devastating, take care and know that we are all here for you xxx.

Priya: I am glad your still having fun in Asia, it is also quite a nice feeling to be able to relax from the ivf journey for a few months. You will have a lovely christmas and then hopefully start the new year off with a + note. I hope you keep posting though as I will miss you otherwise :)

Karen: that is great news about your follies, whether it was the DHEA or not I am very happy for you and get the feeling this could be your time now too. Take care of yourself and your little follies and keep us posted :)

Towachi: I'm sorry to hear your news but maybe it will be a load off your mind to know that you have a plan. I am sure you will get some great donor eggs and then you will be able to carry your baby to full term and have a bundle of joy, take care and know we are still here for you :) :)

Angela: that is just super news, it is so nice to hear the good news stories as it stops you from losing all hope. I am sure now you will be looking forward to your u/s, keep us posted on your progress. :) :)

I have been wearing my ashanti fertility doll around my neck now for several days. I think i told you all about it last week. My sister has one and her friend who got a + last week following her 2nd ivf. I am not going to take it off my neck until I am pg, a bit silly hey but I'll give anything a try. One of my patients came in to the ward yesterday with a baby she adopted on friday, she is truly happy and he is beautiful, so there is always still hope for a family in the future, although I'm not ready for that just yet.

Take care all my wonderful friends and keep posting :)

My 1st Beta

Post by angelaezra »

Hello everyone,

I just received my 1st beta and it is 152. I am supposed to go back on Thursday for my second beta test. From what I see with others who are expecting twins their first beta is around 250 and higher, which my beta might be there on Thursday because they say your beta doubles every two days. Thursday was my original scheduled beta date anyway but as you can see I am very impatient.

I have to say I really can feel that I am pregananct...! My stomach is really sticking out and it is already difficult to get off the couch already and I am constantly nauseated. My ER said it could also be that my ovaries are still swollen. Either way I am a little uncomfortable but I will deal with it to have a healthy baby!

Everyone take care,

Angela

Sorry for being a stranger lately. Thanks for checking in on me and congratulations to all those who have since received good news. And I my heart goes out to those who have had no such great news lately.

I do have good news to report. We transferred 1 blast on 10/3 and this past Sunday was our 1st beta and hcg was 103... today was 2nd beta and we are at 206. So we are on track and preggo! I'm still on 4 estrogen patches and 1 1/2 cc of pregest. every day... I get more blood work done in a week. Then ultrasound in 2 weeks from now.

Thanks for all the support. This group is really amazing and is needed, especially when going through this process. I still feel like such a science experiment.

Hello everyone,

Thanks so much for your support. It really means a lot. I wish everyone else the best as well.

Congratulations trippsmomma. I do have one question if you don't mind. How many days after your ER and ET did they do your first beta?

Take care,

Angela

Hi Guys~
I'm sorry I have been MIA. I think I just needed to grieve a bit. The BFN hurts more than I remembered. I cried everyday and night since I got the news--but last night I was finally able to sleep through the night. Thank you for all your kind words--it meant the world to me. DH and I are definitley going to try again. And hopefully sooner than later as I am old! I worry my window is closing as I am nearly 40--I'm scared.

Towachi~I was sad hear that you are having to give up on your own eggs--that is a tough choice. But I know that donor eggs will provide you with a dear baby that you so deserve. So I am happy you are one step closer to becoming a Mum.

Karen~I am thrilled to hear about your seven follies in range! That is tremendous news for low respenders like us!! Way to go--I'm proud of you. I hope they are all still growing strong and getting near harvest time. Keep us posted. Your news is actually what kinda snapped my out of my grieving and introduced a spark of hope. I thank you for that and am sending so many good thougths your way.

Kerry~That is so cool that your hog roast was a big success! Do you roast it in the ground or on an elevated spit? There is a lot of pig roasting going on over here too as we have a large population of Paciific Islanders here in New Zealand.

Priya~I am glad you are enjoying your break. How exciting that you are in Asia during festival time!

Angela and Trippsmomma~ Congratulatiosn on your BFPs. You are going to be Mums! It shows us who are diassappointed that this crazy process does work--I hope I can join you someday. Enjoy every moment of being pregnant--you deserve it.

hi everyone. i'm so glad and frankly relieved, to hear from you sue :D . i've been worried..

so i had another u/s today.. and it was "good" - i like to quote the RE lately, as i've never heard things like this before :D . my 7 follies are all still there, and all grew.

they are: two @ 16, a 15, three @ 14.5, and a 13.5

i was initially upset and scared at those #s as i thought they should have grown more, but the RE was clear that "you're wrong karen", "this is good". so i'm going to listen to him, as he's in charge.

then i was upset about all the $ on the med's (over 550$ aday right now!), and it's turning out we have more medication coverage than we were supposed to, but hey- i'll take it. it's like santa came to town (another 3500$ of coverage)

so i go back saturday am, another u/s. i am scared they aren't going to keep growing (i don't know why)..fighting for PMA. and i'm traveling back and forth to the city every other day for my appt's , so it's getting hectic. and working everyother day in between appt's.

anyways, lots to do on my night home from travel. love youall, karen

ps. my RE says my lining is "excellent" whooo hoooo.. never heard that word before !

To my beautiful ones, sorry I have not been able to stop lately, it has been another busy week for me both at work and school, but rest assured that I am constantly thinking and praying for each and every one of you. There is no news on my side, AF is still not here but I feel so sick with the symptoms. I am optimistic that when it finaly arrives, we will try depending on the FHS level and other things being equal since I have all those medications at home.

Sue: I am still worried about you, please take your time to recover very well, this emotional pain can be deverstating, but the way we handle it matters a lot. Rest your mind fromthinking what would have been and focus on what will be soon.

Kerry: Happy the pig roast came out juicy. I wish I was there to eat some. What are your plans now. for me at 35, it bothers me to think that I am going to be soliciting for donor egg when I am not even close to age of menopouse.

Karen: Sweetheart, stay strong and look only on the brighter side of this cycle. If you fast and pray for God's intervention, I know his time is nor our time, but pray that his will be done in your life.

Priya: How are you doing today? Waiting for January to be here right? When are we doing the conference call?

Angela: Congratulations my dear. I am so happy for you that you will experience the joy of motherhood. It is a wonderful feeling. Enjoy it when it finally comes sweetie.

Tripsmmom: How are you feeling with pregnancy, hope no pains at all. Take care of yourself.

Be back soon

Lot's of love from the bottom of my heart

Hey everyone:

Towachi and Sue - Good to hear from you gals.
Sue - when is ur follow up appointment with the doc? Take as much time as you want before posting here - we all understand.

Towachi - I hope AF comes soon. I know donor egg decision is not easy but I am sure once you find a good donor you will find peace with the decision you have made. I have talked to my company for the conference call. Since I am traveling a lot - hopefully we will be able to do it soon otherewise definitely end of Nov when I am back.

Karen - these are great numbers for the follies. Grow Follies GROW :). Encouraging words from your RE - this is awsome :) :).

Kerry - nice you had a relaxing time today :) - you deserve it with the hectic schedule. I thought you got your schedule from the RE. now that AF has come, when do they think they will start the next cycle.

Angela and Nichole - Hope you guys are enjoying your time :) - its so exciting - I am excited for both of you :) :). Let us know how the b/w and u/s go.

As for me - I am taking it very easy :) - not my style but am trying very hard. trying to focus on work and traveling and family. Am not too anxious about Jan coming soon so I can start the next cycle Towachi. It will come when it comes :).

Gotta go for a meeting.
Have a nice day everyone.
lots of love

Hey everyone,

Well I was supposed to be relaxing today but went with my sister for an appointment to be monitored for an hour, her babies heartbeat is good and strong. I feel really tired and I'm back to work again tomorrow. Off on sunday and then start 7 nights on monday.
I dont know when I will use my frosties as again I dont think I have ovulated this month, on day 20 of cycle and ovulation tests show nothing, am really disappointed as wanted to do frozen cycle with practically no meds, as natural as possible so feeling alittle down at the mo.

Glad to hear everyone is doing ok.

Sue I'm glad your feeling alittle better, hearing positive news does sometimes have a way of cheering you up, especially when it is about somone you care about, our ivf friends. Take some time before starting your next cycle as you need it to recover emotionally as well as physically. :) Our spit is in an elevated oven with a viewing window so people can see it turning and cooking, it really is pretty cool :)

Towachi, glad to hear your doing ok, we missed you, hope your work load is alittle more settled and you are getting some time for yourself too. I know how frustrating it must be waiting for your AF, the symptoms are unpleasant too, I hope it comes soon. :) :) If using donor eggs gets you your baby I would just go with the flow and not worry about age. Statistics show fertility starts to subside from the age of 27. Lifestyles change and have obviously had a big impact on fertility. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Karen I am glad your follies are growing well, I will keep a PMA going for you, we all will, so keep in touch and we will keep you going. Your RE hopefully knows too as he specialises in fertility, try to relax and meditate if you can, visualising also really helps I'm told.

Hope everyone else is doing well.
take care and will talk again soon
