Anyone know if ok to take a bath?

Post by jcurlygirl »

I would really like to take a warm bath. I am freezing and cramping and thought it would feel great. I don't want to bother my RE office with a silly question. Does anyone know if it is ok. I am 7dp6dt. Any input would be appreciated!

hi -

after my ET, i was told to avoid baths, jacuzzi's or any sort of hot tub. They told me to wait until after the 1st beta... I am sure that every RE has a different opinion on this one.. but, I just wanted to share what I was told..

Feel better!

Likewise, I was also strictly told to avoid baths because they raise your internal body temp which is not good for a delicate embryo.

I am now at 7 weeks pregnant and was told that I could take a bath but the water should be no hotter than 101 degrees and I should not immerse my belly completely, again due to the internal temperature rising, which is not healthy for a developing baby. I am also supposed to avoid hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms for the same reason.

Thanks for the input ladies! I did not call my RE because I think that no matter what I shouldn't, looks like most say no. I took a warm shower, felt good will do for now.
