Anyone else going crazy in the 2WW?

Post by hackney »

Harleyloo, ohhh I keep expecting my boss to come around the corner and say can I see you in my office, for the amount of time I have been online today. I would say that since coming in at 730a, I have worked about an hour. SHAMEFUL!

Hello everyone,

I just received my 1st beta and it is 152. I am supposed to go back on Thursday for my second beta test. From what I see with others who are expecting twins their first beta is around 250 and higher, which my beta might be there on Thursday because they say your beta doubles every two days. Thursday was my original scheduled beta date anyway but as you can see I am very impatient.

I have to say I really can feel that I am pregnant...! My stomach is really sticking out and it is already difficult to get off the couch already and I am constantly nauseated. My ER said it could also be that my ovaries are still swollen. Either way I am a little uncomfortable but I will deal with it to have a healthy baby!

Everyone take care,

Angela

I don't blame you. We have been through so much to get to this stage we deserve this. Please don't get discourage if your fiirst HPT is negative. I took 3 and my first was neg on 9pd5dt then I took another one on 11pd5dt and it was faintly positive. The third was on 13 day after my ER, which was very positive. Also, look up on the internet for different HPT because they all measure different HCG levels and if you are testing early you probably want one that shows 25 and up.

Good luck,

Angela

Hey ladies nice to see all us 2wwers going crazy! My beta is 10/23, only 2 more days!!! I really want to HPT now but I promised my DH and myself that I wouldn't. My mother calls everyday aksing "how are you feeling?" and reading into every symptom. I know she is just trying to get me to keep a PMA but I am trying to be optimistic yet cautious. My first was a chemical so I think anyone would be cautious.

angelaezra: what a wonderful beta!

Oh I just had a horrible, doubling over cramp!!! It totally feels like AF will show at any moment, I don't understand with cramps like this that it could not, even with the hormones.

I don't know how you ladies do it at work. I am off for three weeks! Yah I know that is a bit much but when you do the work I do you would understand. I am an RN in an ICU, we have very heavy patients that we lift, and the RE said no heavy or strenuous lifting/exercise for that long! That is fine with me but I feel a bit guilty. Now you can see why I am going crazy just taking it easy and googling! Well talk to ya ladies tomorrow!

Hello jcurlygirl,

That is my background as well. I am a RN also and I worked in ICU recovering open heart patients. I am now a pharmaceutical sales rep. But, you absolutely did the right thing by taking off from work because your job can be very strenous!

Good luck,

Angela

Im am so glad to hear so many others are just as insane as I am. I check for breat tenderness everday. I wonder what every twinge I have means or doesn't mean. I am a bit jealous of all of you too. My test is not until the 30th. I am moody & grouchy. I was sure my boss was going to fire me for insuborination yesterday. I wish you all the best.

I know what you mean about not working much at work! lol I am on this board like all day, reading and reading. I'm just glad that my company hasn't blocked the website! I'm waiting for one of these times to try to go to the site and get the red webpage of death (aka you aren't allowed to access this page). But so far, so good!

Val...I am so tempted to do a HPT. I was at the store tonight and walked by them and looked. Luckily, DH was with me and refuses to let me! We agreed I wouldn't...but it's just so hard. And I'm really not having any symptoms, except for some mild cramping once in a while. It's so frustrating and I'm having a rough time with the PMA. But...just a couple more days until my "early" beta!

Board quite today, must be the only one losing my MIND today!! 6 days until BETA. I have now started googling the 'earliest signs pregnancy'. I swear I have check my boobs about 20 times a day for changes! At this point they are tender because I keep touching them. They need to come out with a drug to block the part of the brain that makes us go crazy for this two weeks.

Well I just typed a really long message and it dissapeared when I left the screen oops!

Hackney: you are not the only one, I just now got up (10:30am). I woke up at 5am not feeling well and did not go back to sleep until 7am. I woke up twice last night with horrible cramps, at this point I am now convinced that if I am pregnant that it is probably eptopic since I am cramping so much and so bad. Anyway here are some websites to help pass your time away. The first is a site of just symptoms, although they are not for just ivf/fet. The second is a fun pregnancy calculator for ivf.

http://www.twoweekwait.com/web/stories. ... ction=&id=&

http://ivf.ca/calcu.htm

I am sure you will have to copy and paste since they board will not create links, as far as I know of.

To everyone else they must be working today :) Talk to ya later!

Hello jcurlygirl,

If you are cramping to the point that it wakes you up you really need to call your RE ASAP. Ectopic pregnancies can be very dangerous and life threatening if it is in your fallopian tube and it burst. My last pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy that started out with severe cramping and a lot of pain over my right ovary-fallopian tube area. I ended up loosing my right tube during surgery but it could have been worse by bursting prior to the surgery and that would have been very dangerous! I know at this stage of your IVF cycle it would be difficult to see anything on an u/s but they really need to be aware. I am just really concerned about you and your health. Do you have the pain over a particular area?

Please take care,

Angela

jcurlygirl - Be sure to let us know how your beta is today! I have just one more day to wait! I am very proud of myself for not doing a HPT.
