Ghost/Anyone: Ultrasound too early?

Post by BabiesGalore »

Ghost:

I had my FET with one 6 day blast embryo on 10/3 and got my BFP on 10/15 with a beta of 94. On 10/17 my beta was 316 and today my beta is 1570. My doctor wants me to come in for an ultrasound this week. Isn't this a bit early? Should i be worried? Sorry for being so paranoid.

Congrats on your BFP... It gives me great hope to see that your FET of one 6-day blast was successful. My DH and I will be doing the same around February 2009, so I hope we have the same success.

Thanks. Yes it definitely can happen so keep the PMA. Good luck to you. Lots of baby dust!

Babiesgalore:
What grade was your 6 day blast?
I should be doing an ET of 2 day blasts on Nov. 10th and they are graded 2BA. Your was a success so of course I would like to know! :P

Hi Babiesgalore,
Congrats and lots of baby dust to you. It is very normal for your dr to call you for an u/s, If I am not wrong you should be in your 5th week by now and many of the clinics like to monitor from that time onwards. Even if you can't see a hb but surely you will know whether there is one or two sacs. So don't worry and enjoy your pg. Try to relax as much as you can and let me warn you you might feel some mild cramps now and then which is also very common during this time as your baby is growing. Goodluck!

No my OB wanted to see me at 8 weeks which was forever, my specialist wanted to see me at 6 weeks. They should want to do it quickly to disprove eptopic and you can see the hb at 6 weeks. It is never too early, unless you wanted to see hbts. Then again, if you are seeing hte specialist, they will want to see you more often anyway. They confirm sac(s) fetal pole and hb

Thanks everyone for the info. My ultrasound went fine and i saw a beautiful little sac and it is jut the right size. My doctor only wanted to make sure it was growing in the right place. I go in next week to hear the heartbeat. Can't wait.

Soreready: My clinic did not give me a grade. all that they told me on the day of the transfer was that the thaw was a 95% success rate, which was really good. Of course 100% was excellent. Good luck to you and know that it only takes one. keep the PMA.

Amazu: thanks for the warning. I am already feeling these pinches and slight cramping at nights, especially when i turn from side to side.
